WOW! This is the very best guest house. Do not look any further if you are looking for fabulous hospitality, meticulously clean and high end accommodation and located in the very heart of St Andrews. I would challenge any five star hotel to better what Hugh and Barbara offer at No 34. We will be back, soon, I hope!

Hosts were exceptional and made you feel so comfortable, anticipating your needs before you knew them yourself! After a 9 hour drive we were offered a gin and tonic and snacks, which was just beyond ideal. Next we were shown our room and we couldnt quite believe it was all ours — hallway, beautiful bathroom with enormous bath and a seperate shower then finally a seperate bedroom overlooking the gorgeus garden! Could not have asked for any better, we will definately be visiting again!

What a treat to be a guest of Barbara and Hugh! They are amazing hosts and the attention to detail is impressive! I cannot begin to adequately describe my wonderful four night stay. The bed was so comfortable, the breakfast was fantastic, and everything was just perfect! I look forward to returning and enjoying this St Andrews gem!

Could there be a better place to stay in St. Andrews. The answer is no. Hugh and Barbara are gracious and welcoming and make you feel like family. The guesthouse is a short walk to everything perfect from start to finish. Breakfast which is included with the stay is amazing. I stuck with the Scottish Breakfast every morning and was never disappointed. If your looking for a place to stay look no further.

Myself & my fiance Sean Davey stayed at Argyle Guesthouse last night for the first time and it was brilliant. The accommodation is 1st class, very modern & cosy. Barbara made us feel really welcome and we got a welcome drink on arrival, a wine & vodka which we didnt expect. Room was amazing, bathroom was out of this world, so spacious. Attention to detail is amazing. Breakfast, was delicious, plenty choice & Barbara gave us breakfast an hour earlier which was so kind of her as we had to get to work. I highly recommend this guesthouse, we have stayed in numerous hotels which do not compare to this guesthouse. We will definately be back.

Very friendly and welcoming. Amazing breakfast and lovely rooms. Great touch with the complimentary G&T on arrival. Would definitely recommend Thank You for a lovely stay.

This is our second visit to 34 Argyle Street. We cant say enough about this gem. Barbara and Hugh are fabulous hosts and can't do enough for you. This place is first class in every way and I couldn't recommended it highly enough. Breakfast is an absolute treat and For us it's like going to visit friends it's so welcoming. 10 out of 10. Planning our next visit x.

From the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable, the room was amazing, bathroom to die for, 2 mins walk to the town, owners were the most warming people I've ever come across in a B&B, delicious buffet/ full breakfast.
Definitely would recommend 34 Argyle st.
