Calm double bedroom with sea view and nicely decorated. Shared bathroom and toilets were impeccably clean. And price of the bedroom is cheap compared to other places in the area. Helpful people at reception. Will go back.

Lovely period accommodation, comfy beds and super friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

The hostel is super clean and the staff members are genuine and caring. The issue I had was how to secure my sleep from a roommate who snores constantly and loudly. The manager suggests I sleep in the lounge. I suggest she inform customers ahead if we have to share a room with roommates like who I came across. I hope the board members and the owner will see this comment and make changes happen. Make it a lovely place as we all hope!

Clean, Quiet Well run. The town is beautiful and the food and drink is great This IS the place to stay!

Lovely hostel right by the cost. Find we're comfortable and there was nice week presented common areas including a kitchen.

Look at the sea from your bed and have a chat with the super friendly stuff and fellow travellers in the big light kitchen or the beautiful living room!

Lovely hostel with incredible sea views. There's a great kitchen to cook with all the utensils you need (there's a Co-Op around 5 mins away to get food) Also there's a high-ceilinged and light reading room with blankets to wrap up in. Very cosy especially when the whether outside is bad. The bedroom itself (we had a private double) was really nice and clean. No complaints whatsoever. If we could stay for a week we would. One final thing there's a bus stop right outside the hostel which can take you to Edinburgh or St Andrews.

Lovely and helpful! I have to say, thank you. The big kitchen and the clean rooms/bathrooms were very relaxing after the hike on the fife coastle path.

Loved my visit. My room overlooked the harbour area. Sophie, my host was wonderful. Looking forward to going again. Excellent facilities.

This is an amazing place. Highly recommend it. Just had super family weekend 15 of us aged from 5 to 70. So cosy and comfortable. Very well equipped. Staff so helpful and friendly especially Sophie.

I stayed for one night recently on a cycle tour. The hostel has good facilities and is well placed by the harbour. The manager and his assistant went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I stayed for a week. The building and area around it are both gorgeous. The common room is awesome, it has a piano. It's clean, spacious, friendly staff. I don't have any complaints.

Good place to spend a night on the way to the Higlands.

Incredible old library converted into a hostel with breathtaking views of the local port and the sea. I stayed there for a week in a private room. The room and the showers are very clean and cosy, the communal kitchen is handy and the owner is welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

Awesome place. Beautiful old building with excellent modern facilities. Bunk room was excellent with really comfy non-squeeky beds.
Ideal location to get out around the East Neuk. Hopefully be back soon.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in! £20 per night in a historic library turned hostel is well worth it. The hostel like the town is very calm and friendly making for a relaxing get away from busy Edinburgh. The rooms all have an incredible view over the harbor, the wooden floors and winding staircase give a unique character, the kitchen is bright and open with several windows, the common area is cozy with a selection of books and games, and most of all the staff are su…per friendly and helpful! We told a member of the staff working at the front desk that we were planning to walk to St. Andrews cheese factory (a 2.5 mile walk along a busy road with no sidewalks). Using a map He helped us to find an alternate route there and after we started walking, he pulled up in his car 4 minutes later offering us a ride. He didn't feel comfortable with us walking all the way there so he went out of his way to find us on the road and give us a lift! If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is! Thank you Murray Library Hotel for a warm and relaxing stay in beautiful Fife!

Great hostel to stay in! Made feel very welcome! Would recommend to anyone staying within the area.

This hostel is a nice surprise! I recommend you make a stop there if you ever want to stay a night or a few days in the corner. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and there is a possibility that you have a very nice view on the harbour and the sea. Close to all the shops of the city centre and, of course, traditional Fish and Chips which can be tasted at the Waterfront. Little more for those who have difficulty to speak English, one of the manager is French.

The hot showers are amazing. Everything is new and fresh, I wish I could stay longer. Grazie!
