We had a fabulous 2night stay with you. Room 4. Staff were all amazing friendly and very helpful. The room was perfect for what we needed. We also needed a gluten free menu which was no problem at all. Will definitely be back soon. Thank you xx.

Just popped in for Sunday lunch. Have to say was very impressed. The food was fantastic… highly recommend the lamb shank. Great food, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Served by Megan, who was friendly, attentive and a real credit to the team. Will definitely be back.

Served by Farrah, myself and my boyfriend have just been in for the valentines set menu. All the food was absolutely delicious, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The staff were absolutely lovely, can’t wait to come back!

Had an amazing 2 night stay here this weekend. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and there was a great selection of gins. Would like to mention a particular member of staff Mary who was so friendly, bubbly and went out her way to make sure we were having a lovely break. Such a credit to the hotel. We will definitely be back x.

The Tullie Inn is a place that catches your eye in Balloch as the setting is appealing and the menu I looked at was seemingly appealing to. After a long lockdown my husband and I decided to treat ourselves and I was under the impression that any establishment that has been closed for many months would go all out on the food, etc. This was not the case. My husband ordered a veggie burger and chips. A handful of skinny fries and a burger arrived. I wish I had taken a photo but was actually embarassed for the waiter. There was also some wilted spinach thrown on the plate. It was what we would describe as a kiddies size portion. My pie was tasty, but again, tiny and also acccompanied by more than a few pieces of wilted lettuce and a butternut, quinoa, chickpea salad that was just making it and did not have a 'fresh' taste. This really was a disappointment as the menu dresses up the food so nicely and we have been eyeing the Tullie inn as a treat to ourselves. Very dissapointed. We enjoyed the setting and the waiter was a pleasant soul but very let down by the quality and quantity of food for the price. How can the Tullie Inn improve? Give properly sized, super fresh portions to customers.

Highly recommend this venue, great setting no matter what time of year you visit with it’s relaxed atmosphere. Reserved some tables for birthday drinks with friends. Thanks to the bar staff who were friendly and very attentive.

Nice enough food but nothing special, Fish n Chips were just the frozen variety but filled the gap Was disappointed that couldn't order nachos as had them here before and were quite nice but was told we could only order from the bar menu.

Had a lovely over night stay with my 2 friends for my birthday. The staff are so helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend.

Great food decor location and TV screens all round. Chicken Balmoral and Sunday Roast were excellent. Popular with cyclists apparently, although they all sat outside. Mid priced meals so not cheap but not too much considering setting and quality. Very friendly staff.

A great overnight stay at the Tullie Inn with friends for a wee get together. Only booked for one night but would go for 2 nights next time so we can explore the area.

We stayed the night. Chef served up a great evening meal. Our waitress was Rachel she was brilliant, slightly embarrassed when she had to list the items they didn’t have but, she was chatty & spent the time and effort that sometimes you don’t get with younger staff, thanks Rachel, have a good time back at college.

The food here is truly epic! As a tourist naturally I had to have the haggis! When in Rome right!? So glad I did — seriously delicious and as for the whiskey sauce? Trust me when I say you'll want to ask for extra! Staff were great as well really can't rate this place highly enough.

Lovely restaurant, good setting, staff friendly and helpful. Big down side is very hot in my room. Sash windows restricted to open 4 inches. Air conditioning in pub but not in rooms. Roof mounted air con units make noise up to midnight and start again around 6am outside my window. Good value and free breakfast was nice.

A last minute booking to visit friends. Received a warm welcome and personally escorted to a lovely room with all mod cons.
Bed very comfy and the fan was was very welcome in the heat. Loved the Sea Kelp toiletries provided and the my husband ate the complimentary macaroon bars before I got a look in.
On the down side, the Wi-fi signal pretty was pretty much non existant. We ate in the restaurant and for breakfast. Food was excellent but I have to agree with other comments, service a bit slow and sporadic. Our waitress finished her shift 1/2 way through the dinner and then nobody else available. We had to hunt someone down to pay the bill.
However, that aside, we would return there and recommend it as a great place to stay.

Nice place to stay over. Very clean and breakfast was great. Handy for everything. And it's a good place to go for a drink. Attracts all sort of people, creating a good atmosphere. Always enjoy returning here.

Lovely little inn with bar and restaurant, selling good reasonably priced meals. I only had mac & cheese with chips but it was one of the best I have had (you wouldnt believe the amount of so called professionals that can't do proper mac & cheese). Right next to train station so handy if having something to eat/drink after a long walk or boat tour round the loch before catching your train.

We were thrilled! Great value for money. Very nice, courteous people. Food, drinks great. Room for the price excellent. And every Friday and Saturday live music.

I wish we would have had a chance to dine in the pub or enjoy the beer garden — both of which looked very popular — because it might have tipped the scales towards 4 stars. As it so happened, we stayed the night in one of the guestrooms, which was pleasant, but quite basic. A narrow staircase leading to a small room under the eaves, with simple linens, no air conditioning, and a tankless shower water heater.

Came here for a friend's birthday in the restaurant. Perfect food and service. Really good value. Could not have asked for more!

In Loch Lomond Lake, waiting to Luss the town of ferry when hungry, think of the ferry back and forth for a long time, just opposite the ticket office, the window can see the dock, do not have to worry about missing the boat came in. Environment is very elegant and quiet, Scottish style and English breakfast points a copy, good service, food taste can also, the amount is very comfortable.

I do not recommend this restaurant! Poor customer service, food came at different times, one person waited so long the rest of us were finished eating, all the manager offered was a free desert! Eh no thanks! Terrible terrible after sales shame we had paid upfront otherwise it would have been different story! Staff mixed up drinks order and we still had to pay for them, served us flat mixers — won’t be back!

I've visited this place on many occasion over the years where I've left feeling slightly underwhelmed. It's location is great and interior/beer garden is quite nice. My last recent visits however I'm sad to say food has been terrible. The staff on a whole are nice enough but even for pub grub its extremely below par.

Going to be honest, great bar, great beer garden. Food used to be amazing in here few years back but food went down hill. Still an awesome bar to chill in.

Went on a bank holiday, staff were very busy. Great menu to choose from. Food was lovely.

Food was lovely and portion size was great however the service was incredibly slow. It was a nice atmosphere and clean but the service really let itself down. People were polite but we were left for far too long and also our drink sat on the side for 15 minutes before we got tired waiting and went up and started taking them to our table, to which the girl came over and started taking the drinks to our table.

Had a lovely carvery meal yesterday really enjoyed it but I feel for the price the portion was pretty miserable and I was left hungry after eating it … especially the portion of vegetables which if u blinked you’d have missed them … services was fab and atmosphere was lovely with an Easter egg hunt for the children x.

Started off with dinner which was ok, if a bit lukewarm. Once we had finished we moved to a booth near the bar as it was really draughty in the conservatory area. After a couple drinks we decided to try somewhere else… only to decide to return to the Tullie. To then stand at the bar and be blatantly ignored for 20 minutes whilst every other customer was served and chatted too. Once drinks were purchased and we found a seat, we had to clear the table of a large volume of glasses ourselves and wipe down for the spillages. Disappointed as let down a lovely Easter Sunday night away.

Before tonight I had never eaten at the Tullie in and thanks to their appalling service that has not changed. We were seated, given menus and then completely ignored, despite the restaurant being very quiet, so we walked out and went to Cucina just along the road which is excellent. If you're looking to eat at the Tullie in then I recommend you go to Balloch House over the bridge.

Tullie Inn had originally booked for 3 days, adverse weather meant we had to stay on. Didn't mind too much because everything was A. Ok. Spacious, comfy rooms, above average meals especially my favourite — big breakfast! Staff were very pleasant, cheerful and extremely helpful — we'll certainly be back, hopefully with some better weather.

Conviently situated near bus/train links. Food average save the Yorkshire Pudding it was disgusting, burnt, presentation shocking. Staff appeared stressed and mismanaged but still managed a smile. Key location but room for improvements. An honest opinion.

Stayed here last night valentines day. Hotel is clean very nice staff Friendly. Would not eat in here though the food was disgusting asked for steak well done and it was cremated I had to spit it out could not chew it. Asked for no mushrooms on my partners plate yet it came with mushrooms they took £2 off the bill, big deal, wasted food. Breakfast was discusting burnt sausage rubber eggs they ran out of black pudding replaced it with haggis which I don't like yet they never said just put it on my plate. Do not stay in room 10 as the air con outside the window will keep you awake all night. I will not stay or eat here again but can't fault the staff they are very nice. We complained this morning but the girl said she would look into it but probably will do nothing took our money though. £65 for the night and we also spent £80 on food and drinks. For food that I wouldn't give my dog and a long night awake.

The location is great, it's right next to the train station balloon. The place is nicely decorated and the food was delicious. We ordered from the set Christmas menu and service was wonderful.

Don’t expect a good nights sleep. Dance music from the bar was heard full blast in the room. Tv was missing a remote and Wi-Fi signal is probably stronger in Antarctica so drowning it out wasn’t an option. Over priced and under delivers. If I wanted to stay above a night club I’d stay in a big city. Would not recommend.

Quiet place, exquisite food, perfect treatment and very cozy atmosphere.

Cosy bar with a decent drinks selection. Normal pints, some Brew Dog on tap and a few craft bottles. Usual suspects on the cocktail menu. Mostly bright with a few dark corners and a nice fire going. Sports shown on a screen in the corner for those interested and a separate section dedicated to restaurant service. Didn't eat or stay the night but if you're looking for a local spot for a drink then this is a good option.

Lovely meal and excellent service from Michael in the Tullie Inn. Food was very well presented and great steak deal on a Thursday night. Wanted a leisurely meal and that was exactly what we got. No rush between courses and mini pudding was a very welcome alternative to the full dessert menu. Michael made sure I knew it was a very small creme brulee and even brought a teaspoon to eat it with. Thoroughly recommend both the food and the service in this Inn.

Had the wagyu burger… Decent burger, but nowhere near as good as other wagyu burgers I've had for around the same price… Lovely bar and nice staff tho.

Lovely resteraunt with plenty of seating. Vegetarian menu available however no Vegan options as outlined on Tripadvisor… I would say that it's a bit pricey with 4 of us having 2 course lunch and drinks with the bill coming to just under £100. Staff were lovely and menu was varied.

The food was alright and it arrived very fast. There were maybe two leaves of salad in my burger which disappointed me. I would have liked more vegetables. The portions were small (which was actually nice) but the prices were as high as any place serving much bigger portions. It was rather calm and not crowded (Wednesday evening). The place advertises free Wi-Fi… you don't have to pay for it, but you have to log in with social media and register yourself (name, gender, birthday etc) which is quite a bother.

After a busy day out, we decided to eat at The Tullies Inn after browsing an extensive menu, which sounded inviting. On entering the bar/restaurant we were speedily attended to by waiting staff and seated in an appropriate area with a nice view. Service staff allowed time to settle at the table before drinks and food order was taken; this — to some — may appear too long but we could see the restaurant was busy and staff were obviously working tirelessly. Whilst doing this, they made every effort to speak to all customers with regular updates, therefore no issues with that! The time from when food was ordered and served was impressive. The presentation, quality and taste was excellent also! Therefore, compliments to the chef/kitchen staff. A big thank you to our waiter, Jay, who was welcoming; he provided feedback on the menu after my partner intimated her nut allergy. Thank you to all.

Unprofessional staff. Party Friday night directly under the hotel room (allegedly to the entertainment of the guests – seems rather to entertain numerous visitors village youth). Loud cheesy music in the restaurant which will probably quickly distribute the guests again after dinner. Never again!

Stopped in for a quick drink after a walk around Balloch. The building is stunning, a tasteful mixture of old and new. The bar staff were courteous and very knowledgeable about all of the drinks on hand. My girlfriend and I checked the menu and have decided to return at some point in the near future for a meal, an excellent establishment!

Not dog friendly although advertised as being and confirmed with a phone call in the morning. No apology just a staff inquisition into who took the phone call. Most unfriendly attitude. Great time at Luss spent our money there instead.

Delicious food, lovely staff and good prices. Over half an hour wait for drinks and hour for our meals.

Service is simply awful, had to go and lift own drinks from bar, as did other diners after they had been sitting 10 mins, waited an hour for main courses, one of which was burnt. Would have upped and left if it didn't have disabled father with us. The fish platter starter was decent, but the level of service was atrocious.

Eventhough our initial welcome was far from welcoming once seated the service was good and the food was lovely. Vegetarian options were good which is always a rare bonus in pubs. Children's options were also very big portions too. Right posited the loch so an ideal position too.

What a disappointment! The place seems to be nice, but don't be fooled by this, the service is simply awful. Waited to get a menu for 15min, then another 10min to be served by a grumpy waitress, again over 10min to get our drinks… Sadly not the best experience in such a lovely village.

Cheap and Cheerful, good food and service rooms could do with some updating.

Walked in and was greeted with a horrible smell that can only be described as stale urine, I'm sure it was probably not but that was the expression we got, waited an age to be served as when we were about to be served the barmaid that was just about to take our drinks order was told to serve someone else that had waited far less time than us! Once served we decided to find a table to sit and the only one that was free was one that was full of previous customers plates etc. Took over half an hour to be cleared!

Excellent friendly service. Fresh homemade food and a couple of real ales to choose from.

We went on a shopping expedition to Glasgow and stayed at a lovely B&B in Alexandria for the night. Had a evening meal at the Tullie Inn I had ordered the pulled pork, when it arrived it was served with a small pot of barbecue sauce, and potato wedges the pork was in a turreen When I opened the tureen I didnt recognise this meat as pork, their also was water at the bottom, This was no way fresh pork, I approached the staff, and stated it was not right and tasteless. That member of staff went to talk to the chef, and was told to tell me their was nothing wrong with it, and was not given the option to be reimbursed, or consider my complaint in any way, was most annoyed, as the customer is always right.

While at uni in Glasgow went with a friend to Balloch for the day. Hiked, sailed, did the tourist thing and then went to the Tullie Inn for a cracking few drinks. Incredibly helpful, polite and approachable staff who could recommend the best Scottish drinks for Yorkshiremen (not Englishmen) to try! Would definitely go again! I actually tried going again but it was closed for maintenance of some sort.

As a local in Balloch I eat frequently in the Tullie Inn and the Balloch Hotel 100m away on the other side of the river. Despite the "Red Lobster" — clone redecoration the Tullie's ambience, food and service remain inferior to the Balloch Hotel with small portions, indifferent service and overpriced food (especially at the weekends) now the order of the day. £50 for a couple of glasses of wine, some bread for starters, and a couple of tiny mains doesn't cut it for me any longer. The other restaurants in Balloch aren't first rate either (the Balloch Hotel has a lot to learn about customer service too) but I'm afraid the Tullie is the bottom of the heap.

Doesn't get worse than this — we waited for an age to be seated for our meal. Then, staff asked if we wanted dessert when we had just finished our starter. Finally, we were asked if we were ready for the bill while we were still clearly eating. Staff seemed poorly co-ordinated and rude. At times, it seemed as though they couldn't wait for us to get lost, so they could get the next clueless batch of customers in. Learn customer service and build up. Baby steps.

I feel bad for rating the 2 star as the remodeling of the premises is nice, but it was very disappointing, the only thing that was good was the family meet up that evening and the staff were friendly and polite, but the food was very poor the way it was cooked and on portion size. If it was about half the price it would have been more understandable, but there where 9 of us at the meal and not one of us enjoyed the meal and all where saying the same on portion size. If the food portion and quality improve alot that is about the only way we would go back.

Visited for the Italian Night which was £25 for three course with a wine matched to each course as well as a glass of prosecco to start. What a bargain. Lovely food and informative chat from the Bibendum rep too.
