Andrea was so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived quite late due to traffic and she made us a lovely pot of tea.
Breakfast was amazing and freshly cooked. The delicious sauce with my smoked haddock was homemade.
If we are in the area again we will definitely stay here!

Could not recommend Gowanlea B&B enough. We arrived down from Fort William after getting caught in torrential rain & snow traveling via Motorbike. Arrived like 2 drowned rats and Andrea welcomed us with a friendly face & could not of been more helpful, made sure our clothes/gear were good & dry for the next day, cooked a beautiful breakfast with all the trimmings to make sure we were good & full up for the journey ahead. The Gowanlea is a beautiful property with personality, especially when you have a host that makes you feel like you’re right at home! Will definitely be back again & recommending to any fellow crazy people who wish to challenge Scotland’s weather while touring it’s beautiful scenery! Thanks so much again Andrea for your hospitality & banter that gave us the chuckle we needed ❤️ (Nicola & Dean room no 1)

Lovely clean room, spotless, met by the host very friendly and helpful option of breakfast which was lovely defoe recommend.

Excellent value for money, Andrea is a great host, lovetly fresh brew on arrival and fantastic breakfast to get us on the road the next day.

Lovely guest house very friendly lady called Andrea gave us a great welcome and rooms very clean and can’t do enough for you and brilliant breakfast nice and close for amenities worth every penny.

Pretty much what everyone says. I stayed here in 2014 and will be staying here again this coming Christmas. Balloch is a dear wee town, the castle grounds are a beautiful walk and the aquarium is a good prowl. Gowanlea is convenient to all of the above as well as the station, shopping and pubs. Andrea decorates so beautifully and her breakfasts can hold you most of the day!

Andrea can't do enough for you, guest house very very clean, breakfast was really good with lots of choice. The bedrooms are beautifuly decorated with a high end on suite.
We have never felt so welcome in any other accommodation like this. The Scottish tourist board give it 4*

Lovely room, spotlessly clean, dog friendly. Thoroughly recommend!

Rooms were perfect — big beds and modern bathrooms. The breakfast was amazing, with two courses and loads of choice. The location is really handy for exploring loch lomond, or as an overnight stay before heading off. All staff were wonderful ans I honestly can't recommend this place more!

Amazing hospitality — the hosts were just super nice and friendly, the breakfast was great, the location is quite good (you can go out for dinner in a few places in a walking distance). I would definitely recommend this place if you want to stay close to loch lomond without driving too far from Glasgow.

Can't fault it. Excellent value for money, comfortable rooms, fantastic hosting, delicious breakfast and nice little details like bubble bath. 10/10 would stay again.

Clean and spacious room. Check-in took just a few minutes. Close to the castle and restaurants. Fantastic breakfast included!

The host John was really welcoming his service was superb, the detail in the house was very good, like, the quality biscuits on the tea/coffee tray in the room and lounge where great. To have a en-suite with a bath, after cycling 50 miles it was fantastic and they had left out Radox muscle care for us, that is service. (thanks). Breakfast was outstandingly good, set us up lovely to cycle home 50 miles. What a FANTASTIC stay which made our two day break great.

Very warm welcome. 10 minute walk from the station. Handy for shops, restaurants etc. Our room No 4 was a triple. Very comfortable beds, spacious and absolutely immaculate. As for breakfast 10/10. So much choice and Andrea was very obliging. We all asked for different options with our toast and was delivered to our table promptly and piping hot. When returning to Balloch, Gowanlea will be our first stop. X.

Wish I could give 10 stars we have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay we all enjoyed ourselves and Lilly and Mia (our dogs) had a lovely time Andrea the owner is such a lovely lady very friendly and helpful the breakfast was fantastic must recommend the kippers the rooms are very clean with lovely touches (duck and teddies) can't wait to go back.

A very warm welcome by Andrea to us and our 2 year old dog-child. Friendly staff, great location, clean rooms, and a very yummy breakfast to get you going. A lot of though put in behind the decor. Would defintely recommend it!

Stayed at the Gowanlea for three nights and the service and food were fantastic had the Kippers then the Salmon for breakfast and the tea and coffee on arrival was a great extra. Andrea could not do enough for us it is lovely to see the decor reflecting the traditional look of the house with a modern twist in the rooms. Thank you again and would highly recommend.

Great place they couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was the best I ever had in a b&b and hotel.

We found this nice friendly Guesthouse the rooms where nicely done and comfortable, the food was exerlent and well presented. Good location not far from Loch Lomond just a few minuets walk away.
