I emailed my complaint but never even had a reply. Very poor.

Refurbished part of hotel is stunning although unfurnished rooms are a bit dated. Me and 8 friends enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the greatest show party night. Nice meal Lovely breakfast in morning. Good value. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to rooms being refurbished to the high standard of rest of hotel.

Lovely meal. Staff were brilliant. The Greatest Showman was a superb performance.

The staff were nice and tentative. We had a variety of ages in our party and there was something for all of us. The food was amazing and a lovely touch was that they gave my son a lovely birthday dessert treat. Will definitely be back again. Thank you.

Shocking customer service and extremely unhelpful staff. The general manger and owner need to really look at the staffing and quality of staff.

Ordered a bottle of wine tonight and have been told it’s ‘at least a 20 minute wait’ due to ‘staffing issues’. Every time we come here. Really not impressed! Very disappointed yet again!

Too many times things not avaliable which have been advertised. Staff very slow and not enough of them.

Outside terrace is fab perfect on a sunny weekend, it’s just a shame the service is consistently poor. Waited ages to order a drink had to go inside in the end three bar staff stood around, wrong order came waited another 10 mins and had to go back in and chase again, then just as we thought we’d cracked it another wrong order 1 drink missing … gave up and went along the road. This hotel really should be an asset to this lovely town however year on year we are disappointed with service and standard. Take a visit to the meadow park their service was second to none.

Highly recommend the beautiful hotel with historic charm. The staff were all great & went out of their way to make us comfortable.

Treated ourselves to an afternoon out in Bridge of Allan, we stay in Larbert. Had been looking forward to eating in the Royal Hotel as menu looked exquisite. Really disappointed in quality of food and looks like this place is punching well above its weight. Venison was awful. Won’t be back total waste of money. Oh — staff were really nice.

The staff and management are very accommodating and cordial. The location is excellent as well, nestled within the lovely Bridge of Allan near the Allanwater and beautiful hills above.

Stayed here for three nights the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the process of being refurbished and this caused us the to change rooms as things were not just right In the first room my wife and I were allocated. On a brighter note the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good and a varied choice of menu, all cooked to order. The restaurant and bar area have all benefited from the refurbishment and look absolute stunning. Once all the work on the hotel has been completed I would like to think I would give the hotel a 4 or even a 5 star rating. If in the area again I would definitely stay there again.

Stopped here today for lunch it was a bank holiday but there only about 6 people at tables. Sat for 20 minutes none of the staff came near. Got up and left. Don't think we will be back.

Very nice bar, reception room, breakfast and dining room. Looks newly renovated and modern design. Extreme difference to the bedrooms and all hallways, that are very out dated. All floors sqeek inside bedroom and out. Poor room clean and standards. No sound insulation. Loose TV on wall stuck in upwards position. Broken bathshelf. Only brackets left on wall. Loose shower head holder, almost coming off the wall. Door had crowbar marks all along lock area. Kitchen is hit or miss. Very slow, missing main dish arriving 15min after rest of table finished their food. Breakfast had saucy/runny consistency on one plate, overcooked on other identical dish. Very friendly staff front of house, I went for a business stay, but would be very disappointed if I actually paid money for this.

We went for dinner there as part of an award ceremony for our team. We had 3 courses for £32.5 which is very expensive. The food was very very tasty and very well cooked, however the quantity was not satisfactory. The cheesecake for desert was splendid by the way.

Good environment, pleasant and helpful staff, good food and fair prices.

At a wedding there on the 31st March great day drinks reasonably priced, food was excellent both at the wedding and the breakfast. On the other hand our room was small, needing some attention to the decor, shower was small all in all very basic for £90 I was looking for something a bit more high end.

Cute in Scottish style, only you hear noises of the road passing near, and noises in general, sin.

THE FOOD was great! Definitely recommend the restaurant. One of these places where you need good company though as the service was a bit slow. However food on arrival made up for any slow service. The room was adequate: comfy beds, tv, and clean. Overall 4/5 stars.

Enjoyed super Sunday lunch. Food was fabulous, very tasty and well presented. Staff all welcoming and helpful. Nice, relaxing atmosphere.

Lovely lounge — arrived for a large family get together & the staff quickly sorted out an area with seating for us & were very attentive. Would recommend.

A great place to visit whether for accomodation, food or just a drink. Great atmosphere.

Tjis evening, I went to the hotel to purchase an afternoon voucher. I was told my the receptionist that she couldn't sell me one as her till was closed, and then proceeded to tell me that she wouldn't know how to do a voucher anyway! When I asked if there was anywhere else in the hotel that could sell me one, it was a straight out 'No! Incredibly poor customer service experience where even the basics aren't being covered.

The breakfast was very good, unfortunately the rooms were quite cold and not well equipped.

Lovely hotel. Convenient for bus and train links to Stirling. Good food. Undergoing a refurbishment at present, would give five stars in the future if all completed to same standard as what has already been done.

Set in the historical village of Bridge of Allan, the Royal hotel has been not long renovated and went through a lot of great improvements, including the function areas as the Royal Hotel plays host to many special occasions such as functions. Recently visited for afternoon tea and the food was excellent, well presented and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! There is easy access to the hotel from the main street in the village and it bears a close proximity to the town centre, buses run regularly and minutes away from the Wallace monument and Stirling castle. Although never stayed in the hotel itself I know people who have and they quote it's great value for money and the rooms are well cared for.

We had a really nice stay here. The staff was really friendly and the lobby area was really clean and tidy. Good place to pass the time. The room was pleasant — very clean. It was a little warm but it didn't bother us at all!

Located on the main street with ample parking. Our room was small and basic and we couldn't turn the heated towel rail off on the bathroom resulting in the whole room being very warm. In addition the extractors for the kitchen was underneath our window and came on st 6am waking us both up, too early for a Sunday!. Meals were very good and staff very pleasant and efficient.

Easy to find, ample parking. Check in fast and efficient. Rooms decent size, clean and airy on arrival. Requests to front desk for additional tea cup and supplies delivered within 5 mins. Breakfast was superb! Hot food freshly made and didn't have to wait long. Found all staff to be friendly and polite. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Not the best. We asked if they had availability for afternoon tea for 2 to be advised yes and to sit where we preferred & someone would be with us. We sat for 15 minutes with no one dealing with us. There were several servers attending to customers nearby but none of them even acknowledged we were there. We also noticed service issues at the table next to us. The ladies had there scones delivered followed by their tea 5-10 minutes later. After 15 minutes of being ignored we decided to leave and try elsewhere. We did advise our initial reception contact of our wait who volunteered to attend to us helself but by this time a bit late. Disappointing. Went to another local eatery where we received excellent food and prompt professional service.

The public areas downstairs are beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful, really impressed with them. However, the rooms are sadly lacking. In real need of renovation fast. In addition, while the bay windows in the bedroom and the bathroom look lovely, they face out onto the car park and the road, meaning the curtains were almost permanently shut. As there were only 2 bedside lamps in the room, this created quite the cave.

We had a lovely meal. I. Food was cooked to perfection. Staff were excellent. I did feel food was a bit overpriced. Ladies do not use the loo unless you are a size12 or less. Struggled to get in & out. Perhaps the doors could open out or reduce from 4 toilets to three.

The room I was in is waiting to get refurbished, which is fine no problem there. Problem 1 the room is above the heating or air conditioning unit which is very loud, the good thing there is it turned off just after 10pm. The worst thing was the disco/function going on 2 floors down. The constant boom from the base was horrendous still going after midnight. I usually don't mind or bother but I have to be up very early on Sunday morning. I tried to phone reception about 5 times rang out and went to Tesco mobile voicemail. I wanted to know when the function would finish. Time now is 21 minutes after midnight. Based on this I will not recommend or stay here especially having to be up early in the morning. Such a shame as it could be a great hotel and place to stay.

We recently had our wedding at the Royal on the 27th of August and we cannot recommend the hotel highly enough. Our day was absolutely perfect, Samantha, Jeannie and their team could not have been more supportive and organised. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and the efforts they went to ensure that everything went smoothly were amazing. We were apprehensive about our wedding taking place during refurbishments however our concerns were unfounded. All of the areas we used for the wedding were finished to a beautiful standard as will the rest of the hotel be when the work has been completed. We look forward to seeing the finished hotel and can't wait to celebrate many anniversaries there.

Really big lovely bed, room looked out onto back garden it's not looked over at all. Night porter very helpful and breakfast was to die for.

I have just recently return from visiting this hotel, I wasn't very happy with my experience. Firstly the food wasn't consistent at all and the utensils and bowls and cups weren't cleaned properly they still had last night food in some of the bowls, some of the food wasn't prepped correctly as I still had dirt in my lettuce on one occasion. There's a lot of work needed to be done on the interior of the rooms as well, such as getting rid of water stains on the ceiling and being able to open the windows in the rooms as it did get very hot in the room and as uncomfortable at some points. On the good note most of the staff were polite and friendly towards me but I don't think i'll be returning to this particular hotel.

On my visit there was no TV or internet access, very poor, supposed to be here for 2 nights will be going elsewhere tomorrow.

The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The curtains on our room were difficult to draw as one side was tied up with string. Four days of asking for it to be sorted out failed to produce any action. Their are rips in the dining room chairs. There are more items that need attention but l will leave others to point them out. Shame as the hotel has great potential.
