Can't say enough positive things about the staff at the Crown. We had our dog with us who was allowed in the bar area and they made us feel so welcome. The food was lovely and they have an amazing collection of Gin! Would highly recommend!

Amazing staff so accommodating. Charming young man behind the bar and reception. Would highly recommend a lunch or dinner here. Dog friendly too in the lounge. 5star service.

Only popped in for drinks with a friend & her dog, stayed for a few!. Staff could not have been nicer. We sat in the residence lounge which was lovely. Very attentive.

I've eaten out at the crown on many occasions but wanted to leave a review following our exceptional service yesterday. Funny, warm and kind are the words that spring to mind. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was superb — highly recommend the mushroom and truffle soup. Yesterday was a difficult day that was lifted very much by our experience at the crown, thanks guys!

Everytime I wanted one thing to suit me and my dog they did for me. I wanted a fancy private lounge despite having booked a place. And they gave me it. Most stylish place I could imagine and abso catered to my dog and I. We don't stay here but 1st class experience for my first day on outer Hebrides. We popped in for tea and decided to have first night here. This is priceless.

Delicious lunch thoroughly enjoyed the venison burger. Friendly thoughtful staff who looked after our 🐕‍🦺🐾 “Shadow”with biscuits and his own water bowl. We will definitely be back for a dinner at some point 😎👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had a very enjoyable 2 night stay at The Crown Inn. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and look as if they have been refurbished in the past few months. Food is good. Slightly limited menu but good value for money. Loved the Residents snug area. Would deffo recommend The Crown Inn. Great value for money and very Central. Would deffo stay here again.

Had a fantastic lunch at the Crown on Saturday. There was a great selection of gluten free meals which were lovely. All members of our large party were well catered for by some very attentive staff especially Kirsty. We will definitely be back!

Just had the Yorkshire pudding experience, absolutely amazing and massive. Everything tasted fantastic especially the gravy. Highly recommended.

They have a great selection of Gluten and Dairy Free meal choices, which are really tasty and not loaded with SALT. I had smoked salmon to start then fish and chips. I didn't have room for a sweet but will next time.

Beautiful setting and gorgeous food in the center of Stornoway with a view on the Harbour and the castle grounds. The morning rolls on brioche are absolutely delicious!

Brilliant meal, malts and beer. Recommend it if youre out and about in Stornoway.

After yet another poor experience at Lews Castle a few days prior, it was great to go somewhere on the island that valued and looked after their customers. Great candle workshop with the lovely Megan, accompanied by a sumptuous high tea that was to die for! Was lovely to do something a bit different on a Saturday night — more events like this please!

Delicious lunch, home made chicken and bacon pie. The pastry was to die for. Fish and chips for my hubby which were lovely too … nice crispy batter.
Good sized portions which neither of us finished, but that could have been something to do with the scrumptious warm focaccia we stuffed our faces with whilst we waited for our food.

Only stayed a few hours due to ferry times and work, but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even at 2 in the morning when being met with what was basically a grumpy neanderthal. Breakfast was good and varied in types, with the staff making sure everyone was well catered for. Overall good experience, wish I could've had time to experience it longer.

Me and My wife slept at the Crown Inn for one night. In the evening we visited the restaurant. We both had the most delicious lamb racks, served at a very reasonable price, so worth it. £89 for the room including breakfast helt a little like "stealing candy from a kid" ;-)

La migliore cena da quando sono in scozia. Costine d'agnello tenerissime e molto saporite. Torta di carne ottima. Menù per bambini più curato della media. Prezzi nella norma. Unica pecca: alcuni main sono piuttosto risicati e necessitano di uno starter o di un dolce per non lasciare con la fame. Prezzo dei dolci piuttosto alto.

I love this hotel! Didn't actually plan on staying here but due to a problem at another place I showed up at midnight and they were happy to help. Lovely rooms, delicious shortbread, tea and coffee provided. Amazing breakfast included and not one, but two beautifully appointed pubs. On the main road it can get a bit noisy so they provide earplugs which work wonders. Views of Lewis castle while you're having breakfast or if you luck out and end up in rooms 11 and up they also have a castle/harbour view. Wonderfully attentive staff, no request seems a hassle and they are always keen to help. Because of all this I extended my stay from one night to three nights. And I will definitely stay again soon.

Two night stay when over in Stornoway for work. Friendly staff, good food and clean room. Room was fine but slightly small, but otherwise fine. Will be happy to stay here next time.

Nice wee Bar upstairs by Restaurant. Last meal I had wasn't worth the money.
