Friendly staff and comfortable room and bed. Quiet too however thats more lively due to reduced air traffic at the Airport. Would recommend.

Definitely recommend this hotel for convenience for Edinburgh airport. Free shuttle bus, parking is cheap for duration of your holiday. Only continental breakfast because of COVID situation, but adequate.

Highly recommended if you need a room near Airport :)

Had a fab night at holiday inn express — for us it was a bitter sweet as we were due to fly out to NYC and trip was cancelled, however hotel was very comfortable, food was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful.

Everything value, parking, shuttle bus great food and lovely staff.

So I arrived after a 23 hour flight from Sydney. The free shuttle bus was a bonus. One walks into a spacious reception area which includes an electronic flights listing board. The receptionist was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. My twin beded room with large TV screen and delightful ensuite was spotless. Back downstairs the bar staff were friendly and efficient. They also explained how I can get from the airport to the Waverley Street mainline railway station. My evening meal was suitably priced and delicious. I cannot fault on my current experience.

Easy to locate and plenty of parking 50 yards across the road. Acoom nice and clean. Staff, especially Kelly and Leanne cheery and very helpful. Would definately stay here again if flying from Edingburgh.

Very convenient location to Edinburgh Airport (EDI). Free parking, friendly counter service, bar, restaurant (Food isn't bad. ) Rooms very comfortable, big bathrooms, towel warmers. Beds plush. Lift is just 'over there' and No Stairs required, as in most of the hotels and B&B's in the UK. I was able to book two nights last minute IN AUGUST DURING FESTIVAL. Will book again.

Would just like to say, the staff in this hotel are legends. I lost my passport, which was found at security, missed my flight so had to stay here over night for flight the next day. They were very helpful and providing me with a toothbrush, a lovely room, a most importantly a phone charger and just being overall nice. I cannot thank them enough. Thank you guys!

Very basic. Expensive. Shower ran cold then scalding! However, 2nd to last stop going to the airport so very close. Easy parking. Loads of power outlets so good for film crew or anyone needing to charge equipment.

It's not fancy but it does a good job of giving you a bed and an easier start to your hols. I also really like the fact that you can order anything off the menu as a pseudo room services — where they give you a buzz when it's ready for pick up. Other more typical room service usually means cold food delivered with a delay. This way it's up to you to get it quick. Staff are really nice. Only downside is that the bus to the airport is not free (£2.50 each), as that would be a nice perk. Also check in was a bit disorganised band manic.

I stayed at the hotel before travelling to Sweden to see my family, and I had a very relaxing time. I enjoyed both lunch and dinner, the food was very tasty and the staff is lovely. The shuttle service to the airport was regular as clockwork and quick, and the driver helped me with my bag Throughly recommend staying here!

Great stay and good value for money. We stayed one night before a flight. Good location to airport, shuttle is 2.50 Euro per person, leave at least 15-20 minutes for shuttle bus to airport, as they stop at each parking lot on the way. Breakfast offering was great, plenty of food, big variety, and decent quality. We would stay here again if needing a room at the airport.

Perfect hotel close to the Airport (15 min walk), clean, breakfast in the morning for those who have a very early plane, computer and printer has available… Shuttle service every 15 min paid 2.50 pounds, soundproofing a little limited.

Was very happy with the stay. Rooms are spotless and seem like they have just been redecorated. Staff very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and good choice of pillows. Had an early morning flight so didnt get to try the cooked breakfast, but contintal breakfast at 4am was very good.

Very nice room. Bathroom on top of the top. Staff extremely nice and especially "SAV" perfect. Do not stress If you forget an object (even of value) in your room, it will be returned to you in record time! :-)

Stayed here the night before going to Portugal. Transfers to airport were extra. Room nice. Food choice limited with usual near airport price mark up but was OK.

Used the hotel night before we left to go on holiday the next morning. Good standard of room, clean and comfortable. Good food and plenty of choice. Friendly, helpful staff. Car safely parked while we were away. Car park is a bit muddy as it's on grass. But all in a good deal and price.

Perfect location, you have shuttle bus taking you from hotel front door to entrance of Edinburgh Airport, just in front of the Airport building! This is just great. Also highly recommend the to try the steak sandwich from the restaurant menu, it is superb tasty. Will for sure come back.

Really nice modern rooms and facilities, in a good location for the airport with a shuttle bus operating regularly. Food was pretty poor, though.

Nice clean room with great shower. We stayed here to catch an early morning flight, with the added bonus that can leave your car in their long stay car park for a fee. Regular (approx every 10 mins) shuttle bus gets you to Airport and can pick you back up again if you used the car park. A return trip costs £2.50 as of Jan 2018 and takes around 5 minutes. If you are leaving for an early flight, be aware that it is continental breakfast only between 4 and 6.

Room perfectly OK, dinner too expensive and nothing special. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was OK. For one night all right.

We had a lovely time at the Holiday Inn Express. The bar was warm and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, and we even got an extra toothbrush from the front desk for no extra. The complementary breakfast was really nice too — we have no complaints!

Nearest hotel to airport, yet extremely difficult to get to on foot especially with luggage. Airport/hotel bus unreasonably expensive. Room 27 seems to be adjacent to kitchen or other service space, and with no sound insulation. We were kept awake for an hour or more whilst cleaning was undertaken. We could even here the sound of a broom sweeping a floor. The ventilation system for our room did not seem to be working, and whilst the window could be opened, it was noisy outside with road traffic and aircraft. Hardly slept at all.

We stayed in the hotel the night before we flew to new York. We had a lovely evening meal. The staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble, we had an early flight so had the continental breakfast. The price of the room included parking for the duration of our holiday.

Ideal location for overnight at Edinburgh Airport, can be pricey for what it is, but you can find good rates online to include parking. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable, fairly recently refurbished I'd say. Free bus to airport, but you need to pick up a ticket at reception and request stop. Breakfast included and was available from 4am when I stayed — can't comment as we didn't have breakfast.

I got the the shuttle right outside the airport building to the main entrance at the hotel. I was checked in by a very pleasant receptionist, who shared all the relevant information about the hotel facilities and about the bus transfer service to the airport in the morning. I was given a ticket to ptesent to the driver the following morning for my free transfer. I am sure that I had yo pay for this service 2 years ago. It was nice to see yhere was no charge this time. My room was modern and clean and had all the facilities needed including a large double bed and sofa. The bathroom was clean and modern. I never dined at the hotel, but most other guests appeared to be enjoying their food. I did have a few beers in the pleasant bar / dining area. I had a 5am departure and never went down for the cold buffet breakfast (there is a hot breakfast, but not till later in the morning). Overall a good stay in a pleasant hotel.

Quick overnight before an early flight. Room was perfect. Breakfast was appropriate at the early hours. Walking to the airport is possible but not well signposted. Get the bus!

Check-in was quick and hassle free. Room was great, clean and well provisioned. Bed was comfy. Early morning flight so checked out quite early and shuttle bus was waiting outside. Didn't eat there so can't comment on food.

Convent for passengers arriving back on late flights. Rooms are not sound proof and you hear every noise from alarms, nose blowing, plugging and un-plugging of electrical equpiment. Female Reception staff on the morning of our check out (Monday 23rd Oct) was not customer friendly. (9:30am) Note: Be aware about the shuttle bus. You. Need to Make sure the staff actually make a call for shuttle bus to attend the hotel or you'll wait, and wait, and wait… This happened to us and it really spoiled our start to the day. 25mins. When the journey time is only 7mins… We could have had 3 bus journeys in that time. You actually see the top of it, come and go, in and out of the long stay car park… Very annoying…

The pork medallions were so tough, it was difficult to cut through them. When we returned the four cheese ravioli because the filling tasted completed rancid and bitter, I was told that that's what the four cheeses taste like when combined. Really? The attitude of the staff was appalling as though I was the one at fault. I do feel sorry for visitors to Scotland if that's their final impression of Scots hospitality. Won't be going back — ever.

Room was clean, comfortable and quieter than I expected given proximity to the airport, although was a little chilly at night (the room's feeble electric heater didn't help much). Breakfast and dinner was okay if a bit limited for vegetarians. Overall a perfectly reasonable place to stop over before/after a flight — it's around 15m walk from the airport so I'd recommend taking the shuttle bus (small fee) or a car (free parking).

Just stayed the one night before going to Airport in morning, nice enough hotel, bit disappointed to be told they had a party arriving that evening, (about 14), so the menu was cut down, fish, burger, ravioli or sandwich, not much choice at all.

Good for it's purpose. Service is good. But it's an airport hotel so don't expect much. U don't hear a lot of plane engine noise though even though it's at the airport.

Clean and nice rooms, was looking forward to a relaxing night before the flight just to learn that the resturaunt wouldn't be serving any of the normal hotel guests for an hour during peak time (6-7) making us feel like second class citizens and unimportant. Crappy management not to inform us when we talked to the staff an hour earlier let alone their massive failure managing a kitchen.

Disappointing when you think you have been booked into the new holiday inn in the centre of the airport to find you are in an express out amongst the 3rd party parking, a bus ride from the airport. However food was fine room comfey and quiet and breakfast par for buffet standard. Not my first choice but servers the purpose.

Very clean and modern Holiday Inn. Immenently suitable as a stop while waiting for a flight out — an airport bus makes regular (every 15 minutes) stops at the hotel (the hotel is right on the edge of the Edinburgh International Airport). Keep in mind that buildings in Scotland (& in Britain as a whole) have no air-conditioning. The night we stayed was the hottest on record ever, according to the news meteorologist, and it was too warm to sleep without the windows wide open. But, as mentioned by the hotel, flights at the airport stop around midnight. The bathroom was immaculate and amazing. (I'm easily amazed…) The sink was smaller than normal, but placed at chest height. This made it perfect for easily washing one's face or shaving. And the shower had a classy thick glass surround which, amazingly, was spot free the next morning. (Scotland's water is naturally soft, however. At no point did I ever notice limescale at any facility. ) Continental Breakfast runs from 4:00 am to 7:00 am, allowing you time to catch an early flight. It consists of the usual selection of cereals, muffins, toast, various juices, a coffee machine that brews and serves ten types of coffee (and did that to perfection). Starting at 7:00 am you can get a cooked breakfast, if desired. Can't forget to mention — all the staff were friendly and helpful.

For being a holiday Inn express, it's good. For the price, it's not very good. Nice and modern rooms but very poor isolation. I would have give 3/5, but since the breakfast is a joke it will be 2/5. Seriously guys, couldn't you even provide some cheese, ham and/or vegetables to put on the toast?

Staff efficient, rooms comfortable, breakfast very welcome before flying out to holiday destination and finally shuttle to take you to the airport at very reasonable rate!

Receptionist on arrival didn't even gives as much as a smile and room freezing on arrival. Food menu is poor and prices are far to pricey for the quality of the food and again the bar staff are so happy! Would rather travel over night than stay here again.

I was taken to the inn at about 7 p m on Wednesday, 11th November. Having checked in to a twin-bedded room I was told my room number but no-one offered to take my luggage. My room was cold. I did not want dinner, but thought a cup of tea and a biscuit would be nice. There were no biscuits. As I was to catch a bus at 4.50, I went to bed very early, after a shower, but found I could not sleep with the cold. This was improved by taking clothes off the other bed, and I then slept reasonably. As I was leaving, again there was no help with my luggage. At £126.50 I would have expected a few luxuries, but no offer of help with luggage, no biscuits, thin bedding. I maintain that that price was extortionate for the service given. I imagine the price includes breakfast, but who wants breakfast at 4 in the morning? I would have to be desperate to use this hotel again.

Getting refurbished, rooms very nice, breakfast, hot and plenty, people friendly. Prices behind bar, steep!

The pros: It's really close to the airport, decently priced, and they have a so-so breakfast. The cons: it's a bit noisy sometimes. Summary: Great if you're travelling and need to spend one night in an overlay. Book online for discounts.

I can understand naming your hotel after some defining characteristic or local feature. But I've always been a little sceptical about hotels calling themselves "quality". If you have to use the word in the hotel name, the chances are the reality will be anything but quality. I should point out that the 4 of us didn't choose to stay here; British Airways put us up overnight when their lateness made us miss a connecting flight. And, to be fair to the staff they were friendly and efficient. Our twin rooms (why twin, we are two couples? ) we're a little sad and, well, little. Beds were moderately comfortable but the main barrier to sleep was the constant noise of the other guests milling around in the corridor outside, banging the doors and speaking loudly. At least the rooms were clean. The hotel's restaurant was surprisingly good, though. I don't think there is much choice if you're looking to stay at Edinburgh Airport but, if you're in any doubt, try the Hilton up the road. Didn't stay there and can't be sure it's any better — but at least its name doesn't have you thinking about calling Trading Standards.
