Very nice hotel, great location, very nice food, but limited choice if on Great Rail holiday. Extremely friendly staff.

Ambivalent: dream location on promenade, good, modern room equipment. Unfortunately rooms without view (blind-folded tilting windows) and poor ventilation possibility. Breakfast sparse in choice and arrangement, no local specialties (such as Manx Kippers), Eggs Benedict a lovelessly fiddled-together sadness.

Sunday brunch it excellent value, great food and great service!

It is a good hotel with a spectacular view of the exquisitely treated promenade on the part of the. Staff finding native Spanish staff what makes us all very easy.

Cant praise the service highly enough. Patricia is fantastic! A bad experience elsewhere has been transformed into a wonderful one.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Claremont for 3 nights. The room we stayed in was exceptional, very modern and spacious. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the food at the "Coast" restaurant was also exceptional. In fact staying here, then staying a couple of days at the Hilton in Liverpool just made us realise how fantastic the Claremont was. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Isle of Man.

Delicious food, great prosecco at a window table overlooking Douglas Bay at a sunny lunchtime. Glorious!

Claremont hotel Is situated right at the start of the Douglas promenade. It is built in the Victorian architecture and is surely a heritage building. The rooms are very clean and maintained that way. Breakfast is huge and very tasty. There is a Michelin started restaurant part of the establishment. The room is huge and well insulated. The staff are courteous and helpful. Best place to stay if you are planning to stay in Isle of Man.

Lovely, very quiet, service and views are great. Have been twice for breakfast. The first time my eggs were underdone and second time overdone… so breakfast eggs may be a problem. However the waiter noticed the issue the second time and was very keen to rectify the problem; the replacement dish was perfect. Overall, highly recommended and deserves to be much busier. Edited to add: had a family dinner there last week. Dining experience lacked finesse and we felt some attention to detail / overall management was lacking. Our candles were not lit (till we asked) and our table had no napkins until we requested them after the first course. There was no great urgency to rectify this and I watched the waitress at the bar fold them and put napkin rings on at a leisurely pace before bringing them eventually. My daughter requested her burger without most of the extras mentioned in the description and specifically with no sauce or mayo. It came with an item not listed (onion relish we think) and with so much mayo she could not even scrape it off enough to eat it, despite attempting to do so. We then had to wait over 20 minutes for a new burger for her, which seemed painfully slow. She also requested a side salad with no dressing, which arrived with oil on it. It seemed like perhaps there was a language barrier at work with the waitresses. The French waiter who appeared later seemed much more capable and polished.

Very good food. Convenient location. However, few issues. Very small room, especially for its cost. Better alternatives are available in the area.

Nice hotel. Spotless and a cosy feel to it. Big shower, nice 'lounge' lacking a bath and a bit too hot.

Very nice hotel. It was very quiet so you had draw attention for a drink in the lounge. Restaurant was wonderful and service was great. Food quality to a high standard.

Not much atmosphere, quiet and food is mediocre. Coffee not brilliant either.

Good breakfast and about the best accommodation you will find on the island, but some rooms are fairly small and can be very hot in the summer.

Melt in your mouth steak, great puddings, and reasonable prices. Great service was the icing on the experience cake!

What a lovely hotel. We were looked after from the minute we arrived. We were given a lovely suite of rooms as a surprise, this made our stay even more memorable. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Although it says 4 Stars on the door, this hotel is definately worth more than that as the service is second to none on the Island and the facilities are of a first class standard.
