Everything… and I mean everything from a warm welcome, fabulous spacious room, hearty breakfast, wonderful views.
The only thing I was disappointed with was I was only there for one night. I can’t speak high enough of the owners. Back again soon.

This has to be one of if not the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Our 2 nights 5 & 6 Aug were to attend golf at Builth. The welcome by Jane and Robert could not have been more sincere and the room was exceptional. At breakfast we were greeted by the best full welsh I have ever seen. It was a challenge but by clearing the plate we were set for the day. Attention to detail and the personal touches make this an exemplary B&B. We will return and cannot recommend it enough. Well done on a great job.

Lovely, well looked after large rooms in a beautiful house surrounded by stunning relaxing location.

Second time I’ve stayed here work related. It’s an absolute haven … I love to run and I enjoy my space and time between working. Here is a beautiful environment to do so. When working, I often travel alone, but at Pwllgwilym. I feel safe and not alone at all. In fact so at home this time. Hosts are incredibly kind … nothing’s to much trouble … and the breakfast is simply delicious! Bedrooms are of a very high standard. And I’m looking fwd to visiting again. Beautiful…

We had all three cottages for my husband's 40th birthday. It was just perfect, lovely hot tubs and beautiful surroundings. Richard and Jane were very helpful and accomodating. We will definitely be returning. We went into the Town on Saturday morning to do the new local Park run and then had lunch at the Strand Cafe in the Town which was also very helpful and accommodating for a large group. — с Zofia Weaver и ещё 6.

Lovely place to stay, beautiful views, peaceful, spaces and Very welcoming. Breakfast is served very generous and delicious. Also, there is lovely pub near by you can walk or drive lest than 5 minutes if you looking for Nice cosy place for Dinner. ***** for staying here.

Such a wonderful place! Run by a truly hospitable couple, Jane and Richard, that make your stay special in every aspect. Spatious room, rich breakfast and plenty of good advice for your itinerary! Would love to go there again!

Stayed here for 1 night for work and can highly recommend. Super relaxed host's with an enormous breakfast that will keep you going all day. Super clean and amazing rooms in a lovely quiet setting. Pub within walking distance that serves food. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

On arrival our room was every bit as what we expected and more. The bed was comfy and we slept well. What a wonderful breakfast — not for the faint hearted. No need for anything else ALL day. Jane and Richard, what can we say except a huge Thank You. We will most certainly recommend Pwllgwilym to all our friends who are likely to travel to Mid Wales.

Pwllgwilym cottages and B&B are a very friendly, accommodating and welcoming couple who own an idyllic house and adjacent cottages in the beautiful countryside just outside Builth Wells. I stayed in lambing season so there were little lambs everywhere! So adorable! And just outside your bedroom window.
I have stayed both in the cottages which are very quaint, clean and comfortable. Plus the outside hot tubs are the cherry on the cake!
The B&B is also extremely comfortable and the breakfast is to die for! All local produce cooked lovingly by the owner and chef! They are very accommodating indeed with anything you need.
I highly recommend this place!

Travelling home after a fantastic stay in two of the three cottages. We travelled from the East Midlands in the bad weather but unfortunately only made it as far as kington. Richard and Jane went way beyond any holiday home owner and came and picked us up so we could still enjoy our weekend away. The place is as beautiful as we remember it to be after visting a few years ago. We will definitely be back and cannot thank you enough for all your help this weekend. Lucy and Jordan x.

Beautiful setting with great hosts.

Clean and well stocked kitchens. Ample space for the number of guests. Stone floors throughout the ground floor so no worries with muddy boots or wet feet from the hot tub. A great place to stay and excellent value.

Top class cottages and friendly owners.

Superb hosts, lovely room and the biggest breakfast you'll ever have. Highly recommended.

What an amazing B&B. It definitely deserves the best B&B award that it won! Our room was the Glyndwr room on the ground floor which is fully accessible for people with mobility problems, and includes a wet room. The room was absolutely huge with the biggest and most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The facilities were brilliant, with our very own sofa, large fridge and ample storage. The breakfast was the best breakfast in a B&B that I have ever had. The fresh fruit and Greek yogurt was delightful and my omelette was delicious. My partners full Welsh breakfast was excellent and Richards homemade bread was so tasty! The B&B is in a great location to explore mid Wales and I would highly recommend taking advantage of the other business that is run from here, which is the Welsh Overland Safari's. Richard took us out for a full day exploring Mid Wales and it was a wonderful experience. There is also a nice pub within walking distance of the B&B (which Jane kindly offered to book us a table in) and it was lovely and easy to find. Richard and Jane also have some beautiful cottages with hot tubs available to rent out next to the B&B. These really were beautiful. The fixtures and fittings in all accommodation are to the highest possible standards. We will definitely be back to this wonderful B&B! Richard and Jane are very welcoming and we absolutely loved our stay.

An absolutely fantastic place! Beautiful surroundings set well away from the road, so very peaceful. The grounds are extensive so you can escape the very well presented rooms (or self contained cottages), that are on offer here, and go for a wander in the surrounding fields without the fear of upsetting a farmer! The hosts Richard and Jane are so welcoming and only too happy to help. If you've a big walk planned, if you fancy a large one, Richards rather mountainous breakfast will supply ample sustenance for your day, if not the week! I couldn't recommend highly enough. If you need to know anything about the area you would do well to pick Richards brain as he knows every where that anyone would want to see, as he runs tours of the surrounding area from this place too. It really is a one stop shop for any tourist that wants that little bit extra.

My wife has already written a review but it deserves two! Beautiful setting, spacious room with all you could need, friendly helpful hosts and enough breakfast to stop me eating for the rest of the day. Can't recommend highly enough. For my wife Richard gave an uncut, freshly baked by himself, crusty white loaf which we have just enjoyed for tea.
