To be honest I wouldn't even give it 1 star. I have submitted a complaint to their head office. For starters as you walk in the reception is very dated, they are undergoing a renovation but this doesn't seem to be carried out systematically and there are walls with wires hanging down, loose plaster and on the stairway a radiator hanging off its wall mounting. The banisters are filthy and you can see the years of neglect all the way up the stairs. The first room I had the "pleasure" of staying in had curtains hanging off the rail and didn't fit the window in the first place, the bed was creaking and every time I moved the headboard hit the wall. I complained about this and was moved to a newly renovated room that hadn't entertained a guest since renovation. The second room had a security light from the neighbouring hotel shining right in the window, no blackout curtains so no sleep for me for a second night. Also with the renovated room there were still problems with the bed as again it creaked and groaned every time I moved. Now whilst I may not be the most slender of the human race I am certainly not in the realms of overweight. The only two positives I can say about the hotel are the staff, the receptionist was excellent and tried to do all she could, and the location is fantastic. I will see what the results of my formal complaint are in 5 days but if you want my advice you would be more comfortable on a park bench.

Worth paying the extra for a seaview room. Lovely big room. Brilliant shower. Hallway and stair case partly refurbished. Excellent pleasant staff. Would definately stay again. Budget hotel.

The place isn't as bad as what some of the reviews say it is. Yes some of the hotel looks a little tired but it's not that bad. I had room 101, nice big room, clean, brilliant sea views through three large windows. Nice clean and modern bathroom. The breakfast was good too. The staff were excellent, I would like to say special thanks to Monica, so hard working yet always smiling and pleasant. I would visit again.

This place for the price was fantastic, the breakfast which is included in the price was first rate. Bed rooms and beds were very comfortable. And all out door amenities were less than a few mins away. Would definately stay here again…

Me and my partner stayed here for a few days over Valentine's. The room was a very nice size and we had a great view of the beach and the see. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at the elsinore and would like to thank the staff for making our stay as great as what is was.

This is a great deal. Clean. Tidy. But under rewiring upgrade. £36 for room on a Saturday night with no sea views. £40 WITH sea views. Awesome. B&B… Staff very helpful. This was in mid January. The place was packed out. Breakfast toast cereal. Full English with mushrooms. Unlimited tea and coffee.

A basic stay in a very friendly hotel. Appreciate that the hotel is undergoing refurbishment but the room and bathroom was clean, well appointed and warm. Price reflected the current condition and was very fair for room and breakfast. Enjoyed the stay.

I love coming here every time we come to Llandudno. The rooms are good for the price and my bed was comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the service is excellent. The staff go out of their way to help and carry you bags. Overall its wonderful, yet the decor is a bit shabby.

Really great hotel, incredible price. Only down side is no sanitary bin in the bathroom, other than that a perfect stay.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. The guy on reception was very welcoming, sadly we missed out on the breakfast which was included in the price, but the room was lovely and modern with plenty of storage space and a hairdryer. We were pleasantly surprised to find an overhead shower rather than just a bath as the website said. The room was also a little too warm for my personal liking, however based on the price and amenities, we definitely would stay here again.

This Hotel is in a great Location for Shops Restaurants & Pubs and all other Amenities wee stayed for 3 nights Staff Were friendly & Helpfull Price & Breakfast was good / Hotel itself is a bit Tired and in the process of Renovations so hopefully will Be Nice wee Hotel once finished for future Guest's ☕✔✔✔

Staff are nice enough but the place is tired, dirty and not looked after. Its in the middle of a renovation, the room we stopped in was a bit 'halfway house' sort of done but not finished. The whole update seems to have no rhyme or reason, looks like low rate builders are running amok. Its in a great location and the staff were fab, very welcoming. Fingers crossed it can be turned around.

In middle of renovation I think. Room has been finished but bed uncomfortable, lumpy and not level. Didn't sleep well especially as curtains too small, thin and let a lot of security lighting in all night long. Corridors are narrow and depressing. Bathroom modern and clean. Plenty of heating. Not bad value @£39 and 10pm check-in make it OK for business travel. Staff are smart and polite. I wish them the best with a speedy renovation.

A duplicate payment was taken for my stay (one when booking and one on arrival so make sure you have your confirmation if you pay when booking! ) and I made a complaint about the stay itself (extremely uncomfortable bed made worse by the slats underneath coming away during the night, fire exit blocked in the bathroom, TV didn't work and the breakfast was lukewarm and disgusting). I heard nothing from anyone at the hotel about my complaint after a week and didn't know if my refund had been processed. After speaking to a member of reception, the manager, Michaela (not sure of the spelling) left an abrupt voicemail blaming my bank for taking their time for not processing the refund and that her staff had done their part. My issue was the fact my emails had not been dealt with and they had not contacted me at any point, neglecting basic customer service skills. I returned the manager's call and was immediately met with a bad attitude, again blaming my bank and also blaming her busy work schedule and personal life. She even accused me of having a personal problem with her when I had never spoken to or met her before! No apology was received for the duplicate payment and when I asked for a further refund for my stay due to the poor quality of service I'd received, she said "that's not going to happen" and hung up. She was the most rude woman I've ever spoken to and she definitely doesn't suit a role in customer service.

Have to admit was very surprised with this hotel after reading reviews only found out about ongoing building work after had booked and payed but after calling hotel b4 arrival I was met with a very friendly receptionist whof assured us that there would be no noise so we took chance and it payed off we was offerd a free room up grade (sea view room) would be 5 stars if no building work I don't see why ppl would slate this place u get wot u pay for if u want 5 star luxury then expect to pay for it for £50 with free breakfast and room upgrade we were 100 satisfied.

I was a bit hesitant at first when visiting this hotel as I had gone to these reviews to see what it was like and from what I'd read it seemed like it was going to be bad. When I got there even though the reception could have been better the rooms couldn't. They were spacious and well maintained, sheets were clean and the bathroom was pristine with a huge shower. Would definetly stay here again and would reccomend it to anyone.

Lovely staff. Shame about the hotel. Room was awful, no light in bathroom, shower didn't works, cracks down walls. Be warned. Don't eat in room or you could be charged £70! (they don't serve an evening meal. You have to book at sister hotel before 5. Need to make this clear on website. ) That bad I took a video diary (have heard of people being charged for being honest reviewing other hotels. Any issues for writing this and I will post the video online. ) Skipped the breakfast… after the state of the bedroom. Didn't want to know what the kitchen was like! My suggestion. Go check out the hostels instead.

Worst hotel experience ever. The room was cold with no heating. The bed was very uncomfortable (thin matrass with poking springs). Stains on pretty much everything. Red hot exposed water pipe running up through bathroom was only source of heat. A lick of paint, unstained towels and some heating would have been enough for 4 stars for me. I'm only giving 2 stars because the staff where friendly and the breakfast was nice. Owners clearly just in it for the money.

Cheap. With a great sea view. But poor quality accommodation.

Really welcoming and very pleasant staff, the lyoung romaninan waitress who took care of everyone for breakfast was extremely friendly and served us a very nice little breakfast which kept us all full till well after lunchtime! I can understand why a few of the reviews are less than complementary however it is a very cheap and cheerful stay and I would happily return.

I've stayed here on business, and will be again in the future. It's alright, the beds are comfy and it's nice and warm and located in a great place.

Staff fantastic 1st class breakfast couldnt do any better. Needs new beds n a lick of paint. Quilt lovely n warm. Nice place.

Used the hotel loads of times, very cheap, very clean and nicely located, bargain hunters looking for luxury 5 stars at no stars prices should go elsewhere, I am intrigued as to how these comments like urine stained come from are they urologists? These whinging moaners really need to get a life.

What a joke the first sight after walking through the door was a filthy fish tang and two blokes carrying a urine stained mattress up stairs but then was told by the receptionist who really did not seem interested that my booking had been cancelled dont book this hotel looking back im glad it was cancelled after the horror stories we heard from another hotel receptionist a few doors down it appears it has a very bad reputation and the locals named it hellsinore Hotel.
