I think they have had a new Chef and he is Amazing! We had lunch time meal here celebrating a friend's birthday. I had a the course meal and each dish was the best meal I have had in Caernarfon. I would highly recommend the pork starter and the beef check rice dish as a main. what also makes it a lovely experience is that the chef is in and out of the kitchen, he was serving the meals and also greeting guests. It was lovely seeing someone who really cared about the service he gave. It was a great being able to meet him and also let him know the food was fantastic.

Buffet amazing for my auntie Wake. More than enough food for 50 people could of catered 100. Staff was very pleasant and all family are thankful for everything. Would highly Recommend for a wake.

Staff were nice, but didn’t like England beating Denmark, it’s coming home, it’s coming home.

Food was amazing, potato and leek soup delicious and the Soda bread so soft and tasty, and enough for 2, really large portion.
Amazing chips, and Vegan sticky rice bowl was very flavourful and filling.
Would highly recommend, and will definitely visit again next time we're in Canaerfon.

Excellent meal, very friendly and accommodating staff, to the point of fetching the driver an alcohol free lager! Would highly recommend a visit, you have to have the Lemon Posset with a plum! Table of 6 ladies from Oxford allowed out on a school night!

Had family Birthday party at the Castle. The food was amazing. Plenty of food. Every one of the staff were polite / friendly. Tea /Coffee served as much as you wanted. Nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely book another Parti or Baby Shower /Afternoon tea. X 10/10 service. Diolch / Thank you. Also have had a Childs party at the Copa. Which was another great party fun and plenty of room to run about. I had a Disco. Kids party food awesome once again and loads spare. Definitely recommend.

We checked when we arrived that they could cater for our party (no problem they said), but the meal came in dribs and drabs, the beef was only well done and we couldn't order rare for our French guests because it had already been cooked, the vegetarian sausage came ages before the veg that was to accompany it and they forgot that I had ordered a jacket potato. When that came it was hard. I had to ask twice for water for the table. Having arrived just after one, we weren't …able to finish our meal until 3.30 pm, leaving us 30min to visit the castle, for which we had pre-paid a visit, before the coach left. When I complained, the chef said he was on his own — I pointed out that if he'd admitted they couldn't cope we'd have gone somewhere else and dined in time. They refused to give any reduction for this incredibly poor dining experience. It gave a very bad impression to our French guests.

Despite it prime position on Castle Square once inside the building and decor looked tired, the barman was fine and helpful but our first choice on the menu was off so we had to settle for somthing else, not really an issue but would have been better to be told when we were handed the menu's. The food was ok the beer was good, just thought it might have been better with its prime location, love pub food so no real complaints and we got what we paid for hence the 3. As it was a bit tatty.

Visited yesterday the menu stated my meal came with Mash and Black pudding I don't like black pudding but ordered it anyway. I had planned to give it away to my friend. I was disappointed to find the black pudding mixed in with the mashed potato. Not mentioned on the menu. Rendering both items inedible to me. The meat and veg were tasty. However overall the dish was quite cold when served. My two friends meals were also very cold and looked very dry they did not finish their meals because of this.
