Nice hotel friendly staff clean expensive but slow awaiting to get our rooms ready waited 3 hours swimming pool nice but gym out dated.

Great location for visiting all parts of North Wales 'friendly welcoming hotel, great facilities, lovely swimming pool, good bar selection of food and drinks, would definitely recommend.

Just stayed here for two nights with our six year old son, we all loved it, spotless and clean rooms, perfect service from all staff, child friendly with large pool and spa facilities which are open from 7am — 9pm with no restrictions or time slots which was wonderful finally. Lots of lovely walks around town and plenty of nice places to eat, highly recommend the Greek restaurant in the town which is within walking distance, We will definitely be back again soon x Thank you for a perfect weekend away x.

As a non-resident booked a table for 2 for Sunday lunch which was roast beef which had been slow cooked as the beef was nice and tender. The price of a Sunday Roast was excellent for the amount received.

The staff make the hotel. They are such a friendly, helpful team. They do all they can to accommodate your requests. I was impressed to be offered fruit salad for breakfast as I don't eat cooked breakfasts usually it's just toast on offer! The food was tasty and sensible portions.
The only downside was the Wi-Fi was unreliable in the evening in our room.
We look forward to visiting again. The staff have coped admirably with the covid restrictions.

My daughter and her now husband got married and also had their reception at the Celtic Cant thank Kelly duty manager enough who was very helpful with everything. Especially with covid restrictions, we had a lovely day and the waiting on staff waiters and waitresses worked very hard as it was a very hot and muggy day which they had to leave their masks on. Well done Kelly and staff.

Service is very poor, had to ask for my coffee 3 times over 30 mins before getting it, then it came with no milk or sugar.

Caters to the older coach tour and younger hen party crowds, but great pool, sauna & steam room. Above average dining. Nice bar. Lots of stairs, even if you take the elevators, so definitely NOT wheelchair-friendly. Full English breakfast included but avoid the poached (? ) eggs and go for the scramble. Will definitely return.

My hubby and I stayed there valentines weekend. Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff, food lovely and lots to do and see in the area. Only downfall was the lift was out off service all weekend whilst new lift fitted. Wewould go again in the summer would be lovely thank you xx.

This is a modern hotel with boutique style decor. Rooms are spread over 3 floors and we well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. The only lift broke down on the first night we were there but was repaired quickly and was working by the second day. I mention this because they have disabled rooms with lowered sinks etc which is excellent and worth knowing about! Location is great, plenty of parking, and the food is excellent. Only complaint I had is something that's not unique to this hotel — smokers gather outside the front of the building which if you have issues with cigarette smoke and have a room overlooking the front, or are in one of the two dining areas next to an open window can be off putting. Also worth mentioning — free complimentary Wi-Fi. Wish more hotels did this. We'll certainly be back.

Lovely room, excellent staff and facilities. Wonderful breakfast. Excellent location for caernarfon, walking distance. Only downside to whole stay… Drinks in bar slightly pricey. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic hotel and location. Great pool. Lovely service. Family room an odd layout but with only one window ventilation was a bit low and would have been quite stuffy in warmer weather.

Went to this hotel on a group dance weekend. Room was clean. Staff were lovely. Thankyou to the porter who found my dance shoes. Check in was quick and the food good. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Stayed one night at this hotel with four of my children. Very clean hotel, great pool and very friendly and accomodating staff. We have a special diet and the hotel heated up our meals for us and served it in their restaurant. Will definately return. Great location.

This place is amazing. The pool is lovely. Very big hotel with over 200 rooms. It is good value. You get what you paid for which is a lovely stay.

Location is good for town. Staff are very helpful. Evening meal (Thai Green Curry) was delicious. Only observation I'd make was the TV in the room clearly an afterthought. My phone has a bigger screen! But I'll be back.

We stayed here just for one night as a last minute night away for easter weekend. Needless to say our options were limited but I am so glad we ended up here. We didn't pay a lot for bed and breakfast so we weren't expecting too much but talk about over delivering. Our triple room was huge, the breakfast was spot on and the staff were all extremely helpful. With just a short stroll (5 mins if that) to the castle this hotel was perfect.

We stayed here for a family holiday. The hotel is a bit old and tired but this also gives it a certain charm. The key card for the room were very frustrating (the old style where you have to put it into the slot and take it out to unlock the door). The card kept not working and we were told it might have been because it was near other cards or mobile phones. This was not great and difficult to avoid. We ate in the hotel every evening and all enjoyed the meal. Our regular waitress was Christina (I believe I am spelling her name correctly) and she was brilliant — first class — a real asset to the Celtic Royal. An issue was that our 3 year old could let himself out of our room. Most "family friendly" hotels we have stayed at recently have a lock/chain at a hight above toddler/ the hight of a 3 year old. It can cause all kinds of issues not having doors little children can't open and can cause stress. The location was excellent.

Beautiful comfortable rooms and a gorgeous all round interior. Lovely pool and gym too! Had a brilliant stay and would happily go back.

Recently spent two nights at this hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful and smiling. Rooms were smart and very clean. Lovely lounge spaces which added a touch of luxury to the stay. Dining room tastefully decorated. Food was excellent and very well priced for quality. Location was right in Caernarfon so ideal for town and snowdonia. Parking on site which made for ease. Leisure facilities very clean and good standard. Would highly recommend this hotel — certainly more than a 3 star. Would deffo stay again.

Currently lying awake listening to every word, cough and movement from the (thankfully perfectly pleasant) family next door. The rooms have an adjoining door through which all the sound flows, I wonder any of the staff have ever spent a night here. The sound proofing is appalling from the corridor too, I feel like I am sharing my space with the world and his wife. The food in the restaurant is not amazing at all despite having had it recommended. The tempura prawns were soggy and pale and were served with something baring a striking resemblance to HP brown sauce loaded with cinnamon. Odd. I haven't tried out the pool area yet and staff are friendly but my goodness if you do book a room here be specific and request a completely independent one and check before you accept that there are no adjoining doors!

Stayed for two nights. Would recommend highly. Food was superb and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again.

Great hotel, great pool (£1 for lockers) breakfast staff were good but struggled alittle with being understood. Rooms nice and well equipped. Sad bit, my car was damaged in the car park due to local driver.

We've stayed at the Celtic royal hotel for four nights. The staff are very helpful, rooms are excellent, breakfast delicious and plentiful and to top it off the spa also excellent. Fantastic value for money would definitely recommend.

We held my daughter’s baby shower in the Caernarfon Room for a small gathering of family and friends. The room was spacious and clean, with crisp white table linen and napkins. Vintage place setting added ambiance to the atmosphere of an afternoon tea setting. The finger food supplied was delicious and plenty of tea and coffee were on hand. My daughter was very happy with her baby shower being held at The Celtic Royal Hotel. Thank you to the staff for their service.

Breakfasts and eening meals were all really lovely, menu changed daily so plenty of choice over my 3 day stay. Buffet lunches at the conference I was attending were a bit disappointing as they were pretty ordinary. Bed was comfy, rooms wete spotless, and it was lovely to be able to have a swim every morning and evening during my stay.

Attended a retirement lunch. Great effort by staff to lay the table… unexpected and very pleased. Lovely food and pleasant staff. Definitely visit again.

Had a fab night stay at the hotel. Room was comfortable and warm. Came to the Xmas party night. Excellent food service fantastic thanks to all the waiters and waitresses. Disco good however as it was Xmas would suggest they had more Xmas songs for the party to be in the festive mood. Only 2 songs played at end if night which was a shame. Breakfast also good. Would highly recommend. Thanks to all the polite staff.

Lovely hotel. Arrival is memorable, the reception is really nice. And the staff were Excellent, friendly, efficient and attentive. The decor is attractive, I had a good size room, large comfortable bed. One issue was a small amount of black mould evident above the shower. I was surprised that this hadn't been treated as it did detract from the room a bit. The hotel car park is large, and the grounds were well looked after. Overall a good visit.

Went to my grandmother's 80th birthday party. Food was lovely; staff were great. She had a wonderful time.

Good location, parking, access to town, castle and major roads. Breakfast was good enough but v busy when I was there. Rooms were ordinary though good enough. Would have liked to have had complimentary water in the room.

Stayed in the Celtic Royal Hotel last weekend 20-22nd October 2017. Nice size room, found the bed a little hard for my liking. Found the food excellent, also nice choice at breakfast. I will return again.

Lovely Hotel not stayed here for years. When I stayed it was grand, but do use leisure facilities here. Pool, steam room and gym are excellent and the sauna especially so, I've never visited when its not up to temperature.

Fantastic facilities, comfortable bed, pool and location for getting around. Town and Castle are a few minutes walk. Recommend The Black Boy inn for a great meal out with good portions.

Came with my husband and daughter staff were very nice and friendly when my hubby explained we needed a disabled friendly room they bought handles that were suction and could be put where I need them we explained I needed a frame around the loo to help me get up, and they got me a Zimmer frame on wheels which wasn’t ideal, was disappointed they had no disabled changing facilities for the pool I was told each changing room had disabled friendly showers but as a disabled lady I wouldn’t say they was there was no fold down chair for me to sit and I couldn’t use my chair because it is an electric one and I couldn’t stand as I had nothing to hold on to again no rails apart from that it is a beautiful hotel and the staff are great but I think a bit more could be done to accommodate disabled guests.

Great hotel, lovely welcome, superb spa and excellent food, only dropped a star as the en suite are too small to take a bath, but they fitted one anyway.

Staff are friendly, if a little confused. Service is generally good, but we did have to wait 15 minutes whilst the bar staff figured out how to make a mohito. Breakfast was included and very good. Rooms are clean and perfectly adequate. Mere minutes walk to the castle, but parking at the hotel is difficult. Arrive early if you want a spot.

This is a lovely hotel, the rooms are very nice and the food is fantastic. All staff are very helpful. The location is good for the town and castle both are just down the road. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I live in the Town of Caernarfon and had a negative experience recently! Went there a couple of nights ago to ask (as I have managed to quite successfully many times before) if I could photocopy 3 pages as I needed copies quite urgently! Young Lady behind reception asked Duty Manager who was in a room which was stuck to the reception and who's door was wide open if this was possible! Without any explanation the Duty Manager refused the request, and this was relayed back to me by the receptionist! When I asked young lady (Llinos) if it was possible to speak to Manager, She replied "Sorry, no — He's too busy"! All I wanted was a explanation, as I have been able to use the facilities on numerous occasions in the past! All He needed to do was to pop his head through the open door for a few seconds! I then asked the Receptionist if I could please have the name of the General Manager (whom this Guy wasn't) and She told me "No, Sorry this isn't possible! " Considering I have been a customer of this Hotel for 20 years or so, I don't think I'll be going back there any time soon if this is how they treat their local customers! By the way, I fully intended to pay for the photocopies, but wasn't allowed, with no reason given! Very poor show!

We had a mixed up of booking confirmation and courtesy they have moved us to this hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you are going away with your grandparents, the main receptions are nice has a warm feel and structure. However, we were given a room 302 and disliked the whole thing, we had a disabled bathroom with a lot of support bars for an OAP, the rooms decorations were as out dated, needs urgent upgrade if you are paying £100+. The staff are friendly and helped me change into another room 202… disappointed with the room as the staff described it as king size bed as nice bathroom. It was 2 single beds pushed together and the bathroom all had the same uniform tiles and the shower was like a jet spray for washing your car. Hot Breakfast was horrible, cheap sausages, bad quality bacon, the mushrooms was nice though, again not worth the price and should have more local produce. There is also a continental breakfast, nice and simple.

We stayed here for 1 night, and I must say it was lovely. Friendly staff. Evening meal in the restaurant was the best meal ive had in a long, long time. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was nice, only thing I would say was there was only enough towels for 1 person. But we made do.
We got to use the pool facilities, lovely and clean.
Breakfast was lovely, plenty available, the staff came back and fowards with tea/coffee and extra toast.
We will come back again. Thank you.

We stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The room had a four poster bed, a sea view and it was silent. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious and the bathroom was too. The food was superb and so was the service. We booked it as bed and breakfast but added on an evening meal and an afternoon tea. I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay again.

The dinner whilst well structured was incredibly boring and featured minimalist dishes; not an ideal setup for a roast. The live band were extremely loud and off-putting, unfortunately. The hotel however is lovely. The setting is great, interior clean and spacious and tbe staff rather friendly and helpful indeed.

Friendly enough staff, well presented. Trying to set up a bar tab seemed to be troublesome for the bar staff and they weren't particularly helpful in arranging it, to the point where one member of staff 'huffed' loudly when I explained the tab from the bar was supposed to have been taken to the bar in the function room but it hadnt been. Any other contact after this with this particular member of staff felt like an inconvenience and an irritation. Not very welcoming. Wouldn't hurry back.

Awful. Nothing about this hotel was good. The mattress was so hard and lumpy, also the springs were poking out. The shower had mold in it. The shower drain was clogged so it backed up and spilled onto the floor. We did alert management but it was not fixed during our stay. The room was also really hot and the windows had screws so they could only be opened a few inches & there is NO air conditioning! Not worth the money. Should have stayed at the B&B down the street.

Enjoyed a late booking … warm, friendly service, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Most enjoyed the Bistro. Excellent food. A fire in there in late autumn/winter would make it perfect! Oh, yes and ditch the extra hospital trolley beds. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Great Hotel. The atmosphere is perfect! The beds are a little rough. The bathroom was spacious, but they may want to add a shower curtain, because the half glass door is useless. After three people showered, the bathroom was more like a pool. But I would stay there again in a heart beat. Breakfast was delicious!
