Just returned from a lovely Easter weekend in Barmouth, we stayed at the Bae Abermaw hotel. I would recommend 100% to stay here the staff are warm, friendly, helpful & welcoming, my room was amazing, great views, amazing location. The hotel bar, the out doors space, the restaurant the food just fabulous,. So if your looking to stay in Barmouth please stay at this hotel you won’t be disappointed 🙏

Fantastic easter sunday BBQ, we had a wonderful time with gorgeous food and great entertainment. Best egg hunt we’ve ever been to thank you very much to all the staff 5🌟

Highly recommend beautiful hotel with amazing views, friendly helpful staff, amazing food. Rooms are clean comfy and to a high standard. Just a short walk in to town. This was a return visit and it did not disappoint.

Just back from an overnight stay and can honestly say we could not fault anything with the hotel … Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble! The bar was well stocked & welcoming and the breakfasts are very good quality & super tasty 😋 We had a very comfortable stay in the newly decorated rooms, which have been tastefully refurbished along with the stunning bathrooms 😊 We will definitely come back again & would highly recommend 🥰👏🏻

Had a fantastic long weekend stayed here. Views outstanding. They have recently refurbished the whole hotel, again to a high standard. Food was beautiful too. Rooms fabulous, highly recommend a visit, you won't regret it! Enjoy. Room 9

Excellent food in every sense. Breakfast and evening meals.
Rooms are comfortable and clean and if you have a dog, they go the extra mile.
The views across the bay are second to none.
The Chef knows how to cook a wide range of meals… Thai Green with Monkfish was fantastic as was the Sea Bass with Veg and various Potatoes that was excellent in presentation and taste.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The service was very attentive, nothing seemed too much bother for anyone. The food was delicious and the views were amazing! Would definitely recommend them for a good roast dinner.

Lovely old building with spacious rooms, lovely sea views from our room. Staff are so very friendly, great breakfast and huge bonus, it’s dog friendly.

We recently got married at the Bae Abermaw. Throughout the whole process, the run up, the actual day and in the days following the service we received was fantastic. The staff are super friendly and went out of their way to help us. The views were amazing. We stayed at the hotel and the room was clean, the bed comfy and the breakfast amazing! The service and food on the day were both fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

The most amazing views, excellent food (lamb and leek pie was to die for), lovely rooms and cosy but spacious lounge. Oh and lovely hosts too with nothing too much trouble.

The bar area and restaurant comfy, quaint and stylish with beautiful views which are stunning, well kept lovely gardens and great service with delicious food highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time at Bae Abermaw! Rosie and her staff especially Charlotte were lovely nothing was too much trouble! The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was amazing and the view fabulous! Would definitely recommend and look forward to going back!

Went for a meal on Saturday night. Food was absolutely superb — we all got 3 courses and everything was delicious. Staff are all lovely, welcoming and friendly. Fantastic bar and lounge area to relax before dinner and gorgeous views over the harbour from all the windows.

Had a fantastic meal today, thank you. Plenty to eat and service was great, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return x.

We popped in for a drink at the bar but there was no one there, we waited ages but no one came so we used the toilet, the kids played a game and then we left! Nice enough looking place though and I can imagine some of the room have wonderful views.

Wonderful place to stay! Fabulous views of the estuary, nice staff and facilities, and an excellent breakfast. A short walk to the town center and the beach.

The best view I've ever had in a hotel window! The team is super nice and efficient, and I definitely recommend the restaurant, the food is absolutely delicious!

We had Sunday lunch here and it was truly fantastic. The whole experience was amazing from the warm friendly atmosphere to the most wonderful manager Rosie. She really makes the place that extra special which is quite something as it is such a lovely place.

Booked 11 rooms for one night stay after charity bike ride. Hotel is in a fabulous location with stunning views. Staff very friendly. Food was plentiful and of great quality. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you Rosie for you efforts.

Just enjoyed and amazing Sunday lunch! My partner had lamb. I had delicious vegetarian pancakes. The vegetables were fresh and roast potatoes lovely. We had rhubarb and apple crumble for desert which included fresh rhubarb from the hotel garden. You will not be disappointed with Sunday lunch here.

Wonderful stay at this lovely hotel over the weekend. Clean and comfortable rooms with gorgeous views over Barmouth Harbour. Food was excellent (both breakfast and evening meal), the bar was well-stocked and reasonably priced and the staff warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience. The staff was so accommodating. We had returned late one evening absolutely famished, asked one of the night staff for a small snack and he opened the kitchen and cooked for us.

Lovely and very helpful staff, nice view, comfy bed, good shower, great complementary full Welsh and veggie Welsh breakfast, upgraded on arrival, only downside is the small TV — not that you need it with the amazing surrounding mountains and views!

Greeted by a warm welcome on a cold evening. Lovely spacious rooms with some beautiful views depending which room you have (Room 12 FANTASTIC Views) A good night sleep followed by a Full Welsh Breakfast to start your day. Can recommend this hidden Gem for a get away for the weekend. Lots of tourist information leaflets by the main front door, also FREE Wi-Fi and FREE parking. There is also a Bar area which closes around 22:30. If you have a sunny day this place will blow your mind because it has an outside patio garden with an amazing view. I would Not recommend to bring any pets here, and if you have a disability, you will find it quite awkward with the amount of stairs and where this place is situated, it's Very Hilly indeed.

We stayed one night in room 5, the two of us and our dog.
Best things: Rosie the manager, the shower, the towels, the bottled water in the room, the comfy bed, the spotless linen, the amazing breakfast, the view.
Also worth a mention: blackout blinds in the bedroom, the peace and quiet, the seaweed gin in the bar, the friendly staff.
We will be staying again and look forward to seeing how the plans for the hotel develop.

A really lovely small hotel. Would benefit from vending machine, as there is no restaurant and it might be hard to find anything opened on a Sunday night.

Good spot in Barmouth as long as u can walk up the hill. Great views. Room OK… bit worn but clean. Quite a cold room due to old windows. Receptionist very happy and happy to help. Breakfast OK. Wi-Fi in main area but I struggled to get any mobile connection in the hotel and Barmouth! Lovely bath towels.

Beautiful view … unfortunately not always from your room even if you paid extra for a sea view when you booked. Breakfast was poor — lack of everything from bowls, cutlery to decent, well cooked breakfast … We will not be back after 10 years of booking here (Tillman all the way from now on)

The hotel is modern inside with great facilities, the rooms are large and really comfortable. The hotel clearly has high standards and is impeccably clean. The food was excellent really good quality and served by staff who are always smiling, no matter how busy they are. There's a great selection at the bar which includes local ales and a lounge/beer garden that has one of the best views in Wales! On top of that you've got incredible Staff who can't do enough to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. I'd recommend this place to absolute anyone and would gladly answer any question anybody has about the place based on my experience…

Great stay, very kind & helpful staff, our room was spotless, fantastic power shower in large bathroom that also had a bath, Lovely breakfast — very filling, food &drinks are good prices for nice quality, we will definitely return.

Second time at the hotel but first at restaurant. Excellent food, good service, good presentation. Fresh ingredients. Good range of wine. Recommended.

Easy to find as signposted off the main road into Barmouth. Great friendly welcome and help with bags to our room. Simply amazing view down the hill and across the bay. Wonderful. Very peaceful. Room was nice with good bed and furniture but the carpets were a little tired and the bathroom needs a minor refit. Wifi only available in public areas which was a bit of a problem but was clearly stated on the booking so can't complain. Public areas of the hotel were excellent and quite newly fitted. Good bar. Restaurant looked good but we didn't eat at the hotel. The walk into the town only takes a few minutes and was very peaceful and relaxing.

After researching a number of hotels within Barmouth, mostly similarly priced but elected to stay here for one night middle of November 2014 at short notice because weather forecast was good (for November) for 48 hours. We had a large bedroom with generously sized bathroom with bath (a reason for staying there) and power shower, very clean throughout and well run. Superb view of the estuary, Fairbourne and the sea beyond but within easy walking distance of the 'old' town of Barmouth and its harbour area. Excellent restaurant and lounge areas. Very attentive manager and staff. I commend the full Welsh breakfast. Good car parking and, for walkers, adjacent to the Panorama Way. Would happily return on another occasion.

Considering most local places use same food distributors it's ridiculously expensive.

Very nice hotel of a great standard. The only down side is that it is rather expensive.

We have just returned from a short break in Barmouth, staying at the Bae Abermaw. It is a superb hotel, very friendly staff, great food, great location. The bedroom was first class everything was very comfortable. Standards are excellent. Highly recommended.
