Had Christmas lunch with my sister & niece, the food was amazing! Such a nice atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, planning my next visit.

Lovely lunch, friendly staff!

On the 13th November my husband and I had a great meal at Saplinbrae hotel. The service was great and everyone so friendly. I had Monkfish and my partner had chicken both cooked perfectly. Will certainly be back again.

Always love coming to this place with my family. Food is the best in the area and staff are great. Went for a walk after around the lake beside the hotel. Perfect afternoon x.

I was for meals a couple of times over the Christmas period and the food was amazing and such a lovely setting and friendly staff. Today we had a takeaway afternoon tea because of the circumstances, it was an absolute treat and hope to be back soon once open again.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Standard of everything is exceptional. Free room upgrade last night which was very much appreciated. Lovely clean room. Delicious food as always, served by very friendly staff.

Have been on several occasions lovely location, great service and a fantastic meal every time.

What a fantastic meal we had on Saturday. Staff and chef couldn’t do enough for us. 2nd time here and certainly wont be our last. Very very high standards. Thank you for making our friends and ourselves feel part of your family x.

Highly recommend going in November for an evening meal. Absolutely faultless 3 courses had last night, thoroughly enjoyed our meal. 5

Everything about our visit has been spot on. We have a great chalet tonight and took the opportunity to dine in their dining area tonight. Beautiful food and the entire team that we met tonight are really friendly and courteous. Fantastic location, very quiet and peaceful. Can definitely highly recommend a stay at Saplinbrae Hotel and Lodges.

We were tonight for an excellent meal. Have been before but we had a voucher we were given from our daughter and her hubby for Christmas past and have just gotten round to using it.
Would definitely recommend Saplinbrae for eating.

Saplin Brae is fantastic. The food is amazing, the service is great, it’s welcoming, and to top it all off… its set in the most beautiful area. Highly recommend anyone to visit. You won’t be disappointed 5

Fantastic and creative afternoon tea, amazing attention to detail, with lovely local produce. It all tasted fabulous. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive.

As usual, Saplinbrae did us proud for our AuRora Choir night out! Great food and very tolerant staff (considering all the singing etc! )

We travelled as a family of six with another family of four plus dogs! Saplinbrae was more than up to the task of welcoming us all and making us very comfortable in the Old Hunting Lodge. We were late in arriving and unable to book in for dinner, so they went above and beyond by providing the most delicious tray bake shepherd's pie and steamed vegetables that I had enjoyed in a very long time and they even delivered it up to the lodge for us. The Old Hunting Lodge was perfectly sized for us all and the facilities were excellent for our needs. There is plenty of lovely walks around the lake and grounds to keep the children and dogs entertained in the evenings. Breakfast was excellent and well-catered. I haven't taken any stars off, but we did have the unfortunate experience of a plumbing fault in one of the bedrooms. The sink and faucets were unusable and there was damp carpet from what appears to have been a slow leak. The tiles had fallen off the sink surround as well. It didn't really detract from our positive experience, just something that indicates an oversight in housekeeping prior to our arrival. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone, but particularly those travelling as a large group or with children.

Nice surroundings — different menu and very good food. Good service from fruendly staff.

Lovely staff, cosy décor. Starter and mains were fantastic! Dropped a star for the dessert: lemon tart was clearly undercooked & there really shouldn't be raisins or dates in a brownie unless specified in the menu.

Okay nothing great. Beautiful view but food okay nothing special.

Lovely fresh flowers at reception and on tables. Friendly staff to welcome you, lovely fresh and clean facilities. Great home cooking and baking. Will definately recommend saplingbrae hotel.

Had a lovely afternoon tea today with friends-we all throughly enjoyed the sandwiches and savoury bites to eat. The scones were perfect and all our fine pieces just tasted wonderful and the hotel kitchen was accommodating for my nut allergy. Would highly recommend for a cosy afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings.

Had high tea tonight 2 adults 2 children. Lovely place, cosy and welcoming and service good. Meals were freshly prepared, nicely presented and hot. I wasn’t too keen on my lamb shank but it did not take away from the overall experience. The cakes to follow were absolutely delicious you could tell they were home made. Good value at £16 per adult.

What a fantastic hotel. Couldn't fault it. Great staff couldn't do enough for you and so natural and friendly. Great food and beautiful rooms. Best hotel I've stayed in for a long time. Defiantly recommend this one to people I know.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. Service was phenomenal, food was excellent. Rooms lovely, very clean. Would absolutely stay here again.

Tea, sandwiches and cakes were lovely but reason not a 5 is because I had to ask for the tea to be brought out. And it was a good 10 mins after the cakes etc came out.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here with friends. Staff very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. We'll be back soon! Hopefully next time it won't be raining and we'll get a chance to walk off our excesses in some beautiful historic countryside. Ian T.

Incredible hotel. Decor and quality of rooms amongst the best I've stayed. I travel across the country and look forward to this stay every time. Food is just incredible also!

Had my sons birthday party and the staff were brilliant in engaging with us. Food was brilliant and service was also faultless.

The cabins are great for families, the people were fabulous, dinner was excellent.

Loved the High Tea, good service and great value for money.

Booked the two lodges for a weekend for my daughter's 21st… great time had by all.

We had a meal at saplinbrae yesterday evening and it was lovely. Have been a few times for various meals and afternoon tea and have always enjoyed coming but last night was definitely my favourite. Friendly staff and prompt service on top of the great food, so overall a great experience!

Google maps have good to point direction. Hotel stay in the lodge was super. Self cooking was possible. Staff very courteous and great place to walk around.

Really lovely hotel beautiful four poster bed for our wedding anniversary Definitely stay again when next in the area.
