We had our wedding last weekend and had a wonderful day. The venue and ground are just beautiful. All the staff were fantastic and friendly. Andrew and Jill made us feel very relaxed and nothing was a issue for them.

It is overpriced the food and most of the staff are really nice and so as the manager lovely lady however the staff that serves the drink really unwelcome attitude she was miserable. She should not be serving. Very nice place to visit and dine.

Can't recommend the Pittodrie House Hotel enough, it was my Mums birthday and she wanted to go somewhere in the evening to relax & have a few drinks with all the family. We had never been to the Pittodrie House before and entering up the long drive was almost like visiting a mansion. As we wandered into reception the girl was fantastic, so polite & friendly wishing my Mum a Happy Birthday then taking us through to the bar area. It was absolutely fantastic, such a big, grand hotel with a antique atmosphere making it an evening not too forget! The staff were so welcoming and made us feel at home, we will definitely be back for one of there festive evenings in December. My Mum had a fantastic birthday so thank you to everyone who made it special.

We recently got married here and could not reccomend it more. The team are fab, the food was outstanding and you just can't beat the gorgeous scenery.

Fantastic location, wonderful staff who couldn't do enough. I Had 4 nights, the food is fantastic, and the smoked haddock at breakfast was divine. Ill need to get that in at home soon. Highly recommend.

We got married at Pittodrie House Hotel on 17/10/20 and we couldn’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived at the hotel to check-in all the staff were on hand to help with making sure everything was just right and nothing was too much trouble. Particular mention goes out to Nicola our wedding co-ordinator, her attention to detail on the run up to the wedding keeping us up to date with with was going on we couldn’t thank you enough! You made sure everything ran smoothly and on time on the day! We had a marquee for ceremony and the food was amazing, including the 3 course wedding breakfast! The sparklers and fireworks to end our special day are something we will never never! We are so glad that we chose Pittodrie House hotel to get married and for making our wedding truly special we are so glad that we didn’t prospone it. Dr and Mrs Rutter.

We stayed here at the weekend and as usual such a wonderful place, with staff who go above and beyond to help despite the restrictions currently in place. We can't wait to stay again!

We got married at Pittodrie House on 20/11/20. From initially booking our date the day hospitality went into lockdown until the day after the wedding when we checked out — the venue and staff were faultless! Nicola was on hand with every query we had, helpful solutions and she just understood how difficult it was to organise a wedding during a pandemic! Even organising microphones for the speeches and making sure everything was ok for our zoom call! The Erskine suite was lovely and perfectly suited for us getting ready. Nicola ensured we had an easily accessed room for my elderly Nan so she could stay with us and be nearby. Canapés were delicious in the drawing room with the fire on was lovely on a cold November day.
Perfectly based for us all nipping in and out to get photos taken. Through to the ballroom for our reception. We had apple crates and hurricane lamps which the staff set out beautifully! Candelabras all lit and the twinkly lights it was so cosy and intimate. Although this room is for larger weddings even with our 20 guests the room didn’t feel too big. The food was fantastic! 3 course wedding breakfast with cheese boards in the evening. Nothing was ever too much bother for the staff, they were all very attentive without being intrusive and were always on hand sometimes before we even realised what we needed! I would 100% recommend Pittodrie House hotel as a wedding venue and the staff went a long way to make it the best day!

What a wonderful hotel, the staff were so polite and friendly with nothing being too much! We stayed here on Saturday night which exceed all expectations our meal was absolutely delicious 10/10! Breakfast was well organised too due to covid restrictions. Definitely will return and I can’t wait.

We stayed in the Huntly room and it was absolutely brilliant! Fabulous dinner and great recommendations from the staff, they were so helpful and tentative. Would definatly stay again. For dinner bed breakfast, drinks and room service it was definatly great value for money.

As a regular guest, we are NEVER disappointed when we visit this hotel and always receive a warm and friendly welcome. There is a wonderful ambiance in the Drawing Room, especially in the winter when the fire is lit. The staff are very professional and the service is excellent. Being quite picky with food, the chef is accommodating and am always served with a delicious meal! We would highly recommend this quaint, picturesque hotel.

Lovely Prosecco afternoon tea, great food, great setting, lovely place, only negative was as there was a wedding, felt neglected on the service.

Treated my mum to tea for 2 today it was lovely, nice treats and nice staff. My dad used to be night manager here over 15 years ago so myself and my mum have fond memories of the hotel and the family fun days they would put on for their staff back in the day. We unfortunately lost my dad just last year so we thought we would pick here to revisit some of those memories and we weren't disappointed ❤️

Rudeness is not classy. Rude staff spoiled my Mum (and now Dad) 's wedding night last night. Being friendly and welcoming to guests should be simple. How sad that a once fine establishment has gone downhill.

Had afternoon tea today and oh my goodness it was delicious! Plenty food and very tasty served with copious amounts of tea and coffee. Staff were lovely… all very smart and pleasant.
Will definitely be back x.

I did wonder what the wife had booked as we drove up the long drive… and what a Gem we found, beautiful gardens, lovely historic home that’s now a fantastic place to stay… the staff were nothing short of excellent and the food was even better (if that’s possible! ) Its a long way from Australia… but I hope to make it back for a longer stay next time… Thanks to your wonderful staff, we had a most enjoyable stay…

We are 6 friends who travelled from Norway to spend 3 nights at this wonderful hotel!
I cannot describe the wonderful welcome we received and all the friendly attention the staff gave us throughout our stay at Pittodrie House.
The fun events that were arranged for us, the most delicious meals we had and just to experience this beautiful country hotel in Scotland was a memory we will never forget.
I cannot recommend this enough!
You will not be disappointed booking a trip here!

My best friend just got married here and we had the best time! The staff was accommodating, friendly and so professional! Our suite was so clean! There are a LOT of bees around this beautiful place so be careful if allergic!

Warm welcome on arrival and told where everything was. Room 11 was spacious and had all we needed bathroom was beautiful large shower and stand alone bath. Dinner both nights and food was excellent staff pleasant and helpful. Would go back.

I stayed at this hotel in April 2018 for one night. I booked through Expedia. Although the hotel property is fine, I experienced a very unusual customer service issue. I was charged for two nights stay on my Visa. I contacted the hotel when I noticed the mistake. I spoke to someone at the front desk who told me they would look into the issue and contact me back. I had to call 2 weeks later after no response and start over again with someone new. I was again promised a call back which never materialized. Finally, 1.5 months after first contact, I called back and made a firm request to speak with someone today — they put me through to their accounts manager who promised to call me back after looking into the issue. He did call me back later that day and confirmed that the hotel had charged an extra day in error and promised a refund on my credit card. That was a few weeks ago and the refund has not been processed. I had to call back today and waste more of my time trying to sort our their mistake. Although apologetic today, this interaction with the hotel has been very frustrating and I am bewildered that the problem has not been resolved 3 months after an inappropriate change on my credit card.

Spent an overnight stay having dinner, bed and breakfast with friends on a very good offer in this lovely hotel.
The building, public rooms and grounds are beautiful and very much in keeping with a Scottish mansion house. Bedrooms are very well appointed having extremely comfortable beds and most commanding lovely views over the surrounding rural area. The staff are all smartly uniformed and friendly.
However, we did experience some difficulties in the evening when we visited the snug bar and found we had to go in search of a barman, at dinner where it took 3 hours to have 2 courses and having coffee and liqueurs in the drawing room afterwards where it took some considerable time to serve and to find that the bar had no Drambuie, very unusual for a Scottish hotel of such standing.
I am surprised to note although similar observations from other guests have been noted, over a fairly lengthy time, the problem still exists. I would have thought having had the same problems flagged by several guests would have had those issues addressed as is surely the point of asking for reviews.
Breakfast was good and served efficiently.
All in all we had a very nice stay enjoying being with friends in very comfortable and unique surroundings and would hope that future visits would show an improvement in issues mentioned.

Spectacular venue. Been a few times over the past couple of years and celebrated my wedding here in 2016. Set in a stunning location by the foot of Bennachie near Chapel of Garioch, definitely worth a visit.

Staff were excellent, food was excellent. It is a lovely old building with a beautiful tree lined drive up to it.

Had an absolutely fantastic day at Mark & Matt's wedding … weather… company… food & entertainment was amazing… location was amazing too but bar prices are way over board! … if you want to charge these prices… you need to up your personal touches… ie. Make sure your toilets are checked for toilet rolls etc. And your ashtrays etc. Are emptied regulary and tables wiped. But fantastic building.

Tiny room without a view. Safe did not work. Internet did not work. Location is brilliant. Breakfast excellent.

Magnificent country Manor House, beautifully furnished. The rooms are fantastic, very large and extremely comfortable. Dinner washed down with a great glass of wine, what more can one ask.

Afternoon Tea yesterday was fabulous, best we have had here as this our fourth time
My 86 year old Mum loves the setting and yesterday raining and dark yet cosy with the open fire and radiators on made it very welcoming
Sandwiches lovely and fresh, scones still warm and the rhubarb and ginger jam very tasty
Carrot cake, lemon tarts, millionaire shortbread and wee macaroons all freshly made and delicious
So all in all very enjoyable, well done.

Lovely cream tea. Staff very friendly and happy to provide numerous top-ups to the tea pot.

Went for a wedding. Place looked nice but felt things could be improved. Had executive room which only had one towel. Room was nice. Breakfast was basic buffet — poor considering price of the place. Service was also slow. Bar prices are far Too high. Also ate of bar menu. It was tasty but £19 for been cheeks seemed expensive again.

The grounds are spectacular. The hotel is, beautiful, full of historic charm and the staff were amazing, nothing was too much, they were polite, friendly and efficient. I'd recommend a stay here whole heartedly.

We had a really good time here. The rooms are really comfy the staff are polite and welcoming. There was a vegan dinner waiting for us just as agreed. Will definitely return.

Went for a wedding and the staff were all lovely, food was very tasty and the venue itself was gorgeous, with beautiful views of the grounds and of Bennachie.

Had a lovely return to Pittodrie House for our anniversary. Beautiful settings at the base of Bennachie and our stay was made exceptional by the very attentive and thoughtful staff. Great food and traditional fires used around the house. The Tower room is lovely and very spacious. Can't wait to return.

Beautiful old mansion turned into hotel, had afternoon tea in lovely surroundings. This is at the bottom of the Bennachie which is a stunning backdrop to the gardens and hotel.

Terrible food, terrible service, wonderful building… Do not waste your money or time until the owners realise and rectify.

We visited to celebrate a birthday for someone close in the Ballroom. Whilst the initial bar person was very customer orientated and competent, later bar staff were rude and abrupt and one in particular (more mature lady) was almost at the point of aggressive. Any customer training undertaken was wasted money. The bar prices were beyond expensive (one could expect a price hike due to the venue however, it bordered on daylight robbery). Catering staff were very friendly, approachable and the food was basic but tasty (well done). All in all we refused to allow one harridan to mar our evening.

Beautiful hotel in nearly every way. Terrible Wi-fi.

Lovely, tidy place BUT — room was not ready for our arrival (though we did get another, presumably better room and a complimentary drink). The food was not worth the price — risotto was undercooked and tasted like a ready-mix (presentation was terrible, just a slop on the plate), it took ca. 30-45 min between servings, and I did find a little plastic bit in my dessert. The staff started cleaning up while we were still eating… The piano music was playing covers of 80s power ballads on repeat. Very Fawlty Towers service altogether — great accommodation, but the food and service were not worth being called "fine dining". Mediocre experience, unfortunately. Two stars, because the house and the rooms are absolutely beautiful.

Not ideal for people who struggle with stairs as no lift or wheelchair access to rooms. However overall stay was fantastic, service was great, food was very good sized portions and the place was very clean. Stunning views and a lovely venue for the wedding we were attending — staff couldn't do enough for the wedding party!

Visited for a 3 day work conference. Lovely food, nice location, Andrew is a star but has to wear far too many hats, the other front of house staff hopeless, took 3 reminders for most things for anything to happen. Room not cleaned for arrival, toilet seat broken (another 3 reminders) Wi-Fi from the dark ages added to the performance issues as did lack of phone signal (but good if seeking isolation from civilisation) and the constant piped piano music made me look for where the wake was being held. Way below par, would not pay for this nor recommend company uses again. Good potential but Fawlty towers mode of operation.

This charming hotel has so many beautiful features. My room was big and my bed was so comfy, I got a great night sleep (which I never do in hotels), the food was served in a charming little room next to the bar.

Attended an evening reception at this hotel. Really nice setting, with a great view of Bennachie. The staff were really friendly and efficient and the buffet served (sandwiches and sausage rolls) were decent. Enjoyable experience overall.

A lovely country hotel. Comfortable rooms, outstanding food and drink, gracious hospitality and, wonderful views plus a very pretty walled garden. A great stop over on our way north.

4 star venue expectations are high, certainly 2 things you'd never dream of being concerned about, quality of food & service. Table decor was non Christmassy not even a Christmas cracker considering it was an Xmas meal. The faulty towers service was unexpected & new staff excuses don't wash in a 4 star rated venue. Food was absolutely terrible, soup had what felt like shards of wood chip which I had to spit out and turkey was bland with no stuffing and the dessert was positively horrific. Sledge hammer required! So bad that even Graeme the chap in charge that evening was embarrassed. The chef (s) that night should be re trained or even better renewed! Addressed the problems to management the day after who were very apologetic. What a missed opportunity to gain a lot of local business which I fear now the experiences 45 ladies had that evening has had a huge detrimental effect. Let's hope the afternoon teas have improved as the reviews are not looking all too good (I must admit I've personally had 2 afternoon teas both lovely maybe different chefs were on! )

Beautiful place, (hence two stars) sadly the afternoon tea was awful. The scones were like bricks, a mini pot of jam had been opened and used by someone else, cakes were small, hard at the edges and bland, and the profiterole was hard and had no cream in it, sandwiches were ok. Service wasn't great either — had to ask for more tea and no one checked on us at any point. Complained about the scones, but staff didn't appear bothered. Disappointing…

I was only at the hotel for a couple of hours, but it's a beautiful building set in beautiful surroundings — lovely stuff.

And completely immersed in Scottish forest, manicured gardens and staff very friendly and helpful. The structure has its age, but it is very well maintained. Perfect dinner with dishes very well made. A fully stocked bar. Recommended!

Had a meeting in the ball of the hotel which was a very nice venue the catering put on was lovely and the grounds and setting were beautiful. Very nice hotel in all can't comment about the rooms as didn't use them.

I attended a wedding reception at Pittodrie House and really enjoyed the beautiful building, the lovely grounds and chatting with the very nice staff.

Having just attended a wedding I can say the over priced drinks ruined the whole day, the service regarding check in was a shambles, getting wrong room number under the wrong name, and no information about breakfast which was not served until 9am. The room was way over priced as the shower, if you can call it a shower was awful. Would NOT recommend this Hotel for any function, a BIG let down. The bride and groom made our day so special its such a shame the venue let us down.

Beautiful on the outside, terrible service on the inside. I booked an afternoon tea here. I arrived and checked in. I was told to wait in a large, lovely waiting room. 25 minutes later, my mobile rang from Pittodrie House, asking where I was. I said I was in the waiting room. Oh, I'm sorry, they said. Next they brought me and my friend into the dining room for our tea. They brought tea as requested by forgot spoons and milk. I had to ask for them, thinking they would be embarrassed, but instead the staff disappeared without a word to fetch them, taking a long time in the process. The three-tier stand of goodies looked nice but tasted old and stale. The sandwiches seemed fresh, but the rest of it tasted like it was from the "whoops" section of asda. The scones were dry and literally hard. A few minutes after we were seated, the lovely background music stopped, and we sat in terrifying silence the rest of the afternoon tea, hearing each other swallow. As we were leaving, someone noticed the music had been off for over an hour and turned it back on. I will not be returning, it's a shame because it's such a lovely place.
