Reviews of Burnett Arms Hotel 3*
A very large sprawling building on the main street. The ground floor is built on different levels so it is not very wheelchair friendly, especially the toilet facilities where the steps (only about 5) have no grab rail on the wall. The menu is varied and all the meals are freshly cooked. The chef is a master of his craft.
We ended up in here (bar side PEPPA & FROGG? ) because The Bus Stop HAD BEEN SHUTDOWN FOR OVER A YEAR WE WERE INFORMED by the guy behind the bar. Anyway ordered drinks, and 2 baked Potatoes with chicken and bacon. The chap asked us both 2 secs into starting the meal was everything OK, my husband auto-answered I said NOTHING, AT THAT POINT I WAS FINDING COLD PARTS, The baked potatoes were half baked and cold. Think the chef has done a bunk, because this isn't cooked food, it's microwaved reheats. the side crisps were delicious. One STAR for the CRISPS. Never be back! the bus stop is permanently closed, there is no refurbishment going on. The cobwebs told us the truth!

Good high tea here 5-6:30 pm on Sundays. Really made welcome by the staff and they could not be more helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
