Great meal tonight, staff were brilliant and food was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend the ramen, the best I’ve ever had!

Enjoyed our first family meal out for a long time tonight. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend — make sure you book in advance. All social distancing, mask wearing and hand sanitising stations in place. We will be back, and soon!

Stumbled in here after long day touring castles. Staff friendly. Food good. Very comfortable and accommodating. Highly recommended as they offer good food, service and they gave quick service and were one of the best servers we have had. I don’t normally drone on and on about places so this is a must stop place for me.

Just stayed the one night for a wedding. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere and nice cooked brekky in morn.

Just stopped on our way home to have our Sunday roast. Service was good. The meal was really nice.

Went in for some food and chose the early bird menu with the steak which was excellent the chips were amazing! And the pudding fruit crumble was excellent who knew you could cram so much fruit into a ramiken dish! My partner had fish and chips and brownie which he alao really enjoyed.
Portion sizes of both meals were spot on compared to other bar/restaurants that over cram your plate. Would recommend to anyone.

Good find in Banchory. Good food, reasonably priced, in comfortable surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the visit.

Nice Restaurant. Has nice outside seating area at the back. Food was really nice and staff were helpful and friendly. The only let down was the doors are not disabled friendly. My husband struggled to get through the toilet door with his rotator and the entrance doors where a problem but a member of staff did help.

Family friendly hotel/pub with great bar food and excellent service. My favourite place in Banchory for a month and a bite to eat.

Room was clean if a little dated. Bathroom would benefit from be refreshed. Brief stay as attending a wedding. The bar looked nice when checking in and out, although did not use when here. Fine for a quick stay but if looking for something a bit nicer I would advise going elsewhere.

The two young ladies on the bar at lunchtime were happy and cheerful as they attended to their customers. The outside eating space must boast one of the best views in Banchory. The toilets were spotless.

Excellent beer but very much overpriced. Place empty, no food until 1700hrs. I think a review should be in placed.

We popped in to have a meal with friends on very short notice. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delivered quickly and was of a high quality and very tasty! Would definitely recommend.

Popped in just for a drink but sat in restaurant area. Dog friendly which is great. Lacked atmosphere.

A lovely pint of beer and friendly staff, good for a pop in, your can distract yourself with the football on the tv.

Recent major upgrade provides a select country retreat with a restaurant and bar served by people who really know what they are doing! Met at door, shown into comfortable bar for pre lunch drinks, shown to attractive dining room, restricted but tasty and beautifully presented lunch menu. Coffee in library, then given a tour of this historic country house. You get the picture? Must return for evening dinner and perhaps a stay.

Fish and chips was lovely. I had panko breaded fish and my partner had the beer battered both delicious and the fish was massive. Lovely staff too.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Main courses were lovely and piping hot. The brownie my father had got dessert was hard and dense he could not get it "broken up " to eat it. I doubt even if it was heated up if it would have been edibles the staff did offer to bring him something else but he declined. The other dessert and coffee were lovely. We will try again and hope everything is 100% next time.

Lovely lunch today, great to get a non run of the mill panini. Kids menu was great and everything freshly cooked. Well priced too.

Friendly wee place. Busy on the fair weekend! Decent bar which is popular with locals and visitors alike. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Good breakfast in the morning too!

As far as the bar goes it has friendly staff, nice atmosphere, pool and darts. What more could you want?

Travelled around the area for a few days and popped in here and found the food to be fantastic! My husband and I had eaten at various places on our travels but this place beat the lot of them! A warm friendly welcome, fast efficient service, a clean modern establishment and a very reasonable price, fabulous coffee and the best pot of tea! When we're next in the area we will be back. Highly recommended to all, thank you.

We visited The Douglas Arms when in Banchory for the beer festival. Got parked up on street right outside and checked in at the bar before taking dri ks on the terrace. A great selection of drinks on offer. We then went to our room which was plain but clean and spacious. I slept very well on the beds and although our room was on the main road there was no noise (this may be that the main road is quite quiet! ) Bathroom looked like it had been newly refurbished and was spotless. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked to order with a small menu of items available. A really friendly b&b which we'll probably use again. Staff were really nice and friendly and if we have tome we'd book into the popular restaurant as the menu looked tempting.
