Went for a meal this evening. Lovely fresh atmosphere, great quality food and the staff were brilliant and very attentive.

The staff was friendly and helpful hotel was a lovely building and close to the sea great views from dinning room. The steak pie and chips was lovely and the Scottish breakfast the next day would stay here again when in Aberdeen.

Had our first but definitely not last takeaway tonight, pre-ordered on Wednesday, delivery bang on time and food was fantastic, Chefs special burger and steak pie, thank you for my Saturday night tea!

Family run hotel with view over the north sea. Staff will make you welcome and are happy to meet your needs. Food standers are high and prepared by their dedicated chefs. Highly recommend.

Family catch up over lunch yesterday afternoon. Service was friendly and efficient and menu had good selection. Food didn’t disappoint either, so definitely be heading back in the near future thanks.

We were lucky to win a night here for Valentines night. Staff are lovely, views to die for, food is wonderful, room cosy and lovely bathroom with white fluffy towels. Highly recommend for folks far and wide. A beautiful coast to walk on the doorstep too. Will be back to this gem of a place x.

1st visit was last night. Lovely meal, didn't have long to wait for the courses to come. Very relaxed. I'm sure I'll be back again.

It's not a hotel, it's a hostel or inn. The room was clean and comfortable. The internet connection was not very good and logged out every 5 minutes (good for watching the mail and checking something punctual, but bad for watching a movie on Netflix, for example). Good breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was the best (special mention here to the Cullen Skink). It has many stairs, so it is uncomfortable if you are travelling with bulky or heavy suitcases.

Lovely place and great food. Very friendly. If you can survive Boots nights outs and especially Janice Strath you are ok. Xx.

Great pub grub — plain and simple fare well presented and in good portion sizes. Not a lot you can complain about! Nice sea views from the restraunt.

It's a relaxing and clean place to take a break. The sea view is amazing. The hosts are kind and the food is good (the included breakfast is plentiful). The parking is free. There are no elevators.

Cannot rate the Cove Bay Hotel highly enough! The food is always fantastic quality and delicious. Proper vegetable are served with the meals, not the frozen rubbish you get at most restaurants. They also have a section of the menu devoted to smaller versions of their main meals if you aren't starving or are trying to be healthier!

Great place to stay. Staff are all very friendly and the food is very good especially the breakfast. The rooms are good however the bathroom in room one floor is tired and could do with up an upgrade. The view of the coastline is another thing simply stunning.

We had a meal at Cove Bay Hotel on Good Friday. Meal was lovely, view great. Most of the staff were friendly and polite and for that reason we will definately be back. However the waitress on that day was rude, unhelpful and spoilt an otherwise good experience. Perhaps the management should provide training on customer service sooner rather than later to avoid losing old and new customers.

Good stuff. Easy Sunday afternoon eating at a decent price, safe in the knowledge that you get what you pay for. Good service is of particular note.

Excellent food. Loved the breadcrumbs battered fish. The Cullen skink as a starter was also very nice and creamy. Service was rapid and excellent. The view of the North sea from the large windows was superb. Will definitely go back to sample more dishes!

Nice local bar and restaurant. It was our first visit after being recommended by friends for its delicious menu. Staff were friendly and welcoming and although it was dark, there was a sea view to the rear. Food was tasty, one meal did have to be sent back as it wasn't hot enough but the staff seen to this straight away. Overall we enjoyed our visit and would return.

Went for dinner Sunday evening without booking a table (we live locally), but this wasn’t a problem. Greeted promptly and seated. Staff member asked how we were as she’d not seen us in a while (nice touch). Drinks arrived quickly and given time to go over the menu. Food was lovely, staff checked with us that everything was ok. When we’d finished was offered dessert menus, which we declined, but they left us in peace to finish up our drinks. No rush what so ever, and they were busy. So thank you to everyone we won’t leave it so long between visits.

Lovely lunch,,, stunning views.

Food was excellent especially the sticky toffee pudding. Service was slow but ok with that as having a good catch up with a friend.

The room was great. The dining experience less impressive; full of screaming children and shouting adults.

The new menus are varied and the food is well presented. The food has been very good from all the times i've been there.

High chair was quite dirty. Food was very good though and service was reasonable.

Visited with my family on Sat 17th June 2017 the waiter tried to seat our two children on top of rotting food from the previous guests. Heavy leftovers on both seats and floor. Eventually moved to a different table but left sitting with no menus. We left and tried to rebook the following day for lunch but were told it did not suit them and they would prefer we came at night time. We would not recommend this restaurant.

Brilliant bar and kitchen that we visit very frequently. Very friendly staff and friendly regulars, never had a bad night there.
