At hotel for afternoon tea it was delicious and staff were really nice would definitely recommend it.

To be honest my wife and I were here as part of an itison deal, how glad were we? Really glad because from the time we arrived the staff were fantastically nice, we had a drink and then shown to our table, starters and main courses were excellent and could not be faulted. We look look forward to a return very soon, thanks to the staff.

Perfect atmosphere and lovely staff.

This is our third visit to Aberdeen and our third stay at the Copthorne. The location is great, friendly staff, nice rooms and the food is excellent. Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else while in Aberdeen and would highly recommend this hotel.

Not helpful at all! Tried to re arrange our stay to another date as our flight & concert were cancelled on us & ‘its not their problem’ quality customer service at its best!

The service was terrible had to keep asking for more tea and the sandwiches were awful and stale and the variety of cakes was shocking wouldn't recommend it there was no persona won't be back there.

Booked a night in One of Aberdeen’s few “4” Star hotels, and was rather disappointed… in fact very disappointed. Upon arrival I was given a very warm welcome by the front desk member of staff which I thought was the start of a pleasant stay. Was issued our room which was 306 on first appearance the big wooden door it seemed rather nice. Then I opened the door to be met with a very damp stale odour emitting from the bathroom. On further inspection when my partner wen…t to have a relaxing bath in what can only be described as a medieval trough she found that the Bath mat and shower curtain were the howling culprits which cut that “relaxing” bath to an abrupt halt. I then went to shower before we went out for our meal, unless you are 3 foot nothing or a contortionist it was very uncomfortable as the curvature of the bath made getting under the HP jetting nozzle of a shower head very difficult, that being said I can’t complain about the temperature or shower pressure, It took the tiles and grout back to when it was originally fitted. When we called it a night we climbed into bed to enjoy a peaceful slumber or so we thought, It’s a good job I was sharing the bed with whom someone I love as no matter how many times I tried to lie on my side as with my partner we seemed to always end up rolling into the middle of the San Andreas fault in the middle!

The staff are amazing, managers very fair and very approachable, can't do enough for you, extremely acomodation, foods great service great can't speak more highly of them from start to Finnish x x.

Utterly disappointing and i'm not even there yet! Have been informed that the hotel I booked which advertised free parking is not able to accommodate my car and I am to pay city prices to park it in a car park off site…? At no point was I made aware I had to book my space in the hotels free car park (this is not something I have had to do at any hotel before). Truly disappointed at what meant is to be a quality hotel.

Where do I start? Dusty lamp, broken shade on another lamp, lamp flickering on and off, clearly a fault somewhere, reception didn’t offer an alternative to the flickering lamp, awful patch work to a hole in the wall, (looked like ductape been painted) headboard was broken.

Good location and rooms clean and large. Food and restaurant not enthusiastic.

Unfortunately very old fashioned room and tiny bed. The new rooms which are shown when booking are available through an upgrade at the reception. Very warm at night even with opened window. We had the continental breakfast once which was unfortunately a mistake. Personal nice and friendly though!

Stayed here for a night and it was only 44 pounds. Hotel internally is very pleasant and well decorated. I did however find it a very noisy hotel both with a lot of wooden doors being banged. No noise reduction and some buzzing during the night from outside. Staff were pleasant and helpful but as we in city centre the views were not great.

Just had a two nights stay to visit friends the hotel is excellently located and is clean and tidy. The room we had was a little on the small side as was the bed but newly decorated and very clean. The room had all you would need TV kettle small fridge iron and board and hairdryer. There was a great selection for breakfast and a lovely spacious quiet room to eat in. We enjoyed and would definitely return under ground car park is very tight! Oh and in this warm weather complimentary bottles of water at reception… a God send.

From the start of our stay to the end, everything about the newly refurbished Copthorne Hotel was amazing! From the front of house staff to staff cleaning your room, all very friendly and attentive… Would recommend to anyone I know as we’ve had a very enjoyable stay. Wayne Gray.

Hotel has had a refurb, the rooms are really lovely, large 49" flat screen TV, s in the rooms that have been refurbished. Booked a standard room only online, on arrival they asked if we would like to upgrade to a newly refurbished room for £15 extrs to include breakfast and a complimentary drink of wine, beer or soft drink for the both of us, we are glad we did. Hotel is ideally located just of Aberdeen, s Union Street where you can find plenty of bars and restaurants. Union Square shopping centre is just a short walk away from Union Street, the city has three shopping centre, s. The city is a great place to stay and is gateway to the Highlands which offers spectacular views and great walking paths.

Central hotel, but old: the room was warm and unfortunately devoid of air conditioners (the window only opened for a few cm), uncomfortable mattress, fixed wall shower with jet in the bathtub (uncomfortable with risk of falling). Also, not even the equipment of the toilet cleaning sunscreen. To conclude the bathroom was windowless and from the suction, which did not go, smelled of food. Dinner and poor breakfast. The staff were nice and before we came away, when we wanted to buy a bottle of water, we gave it away. Despite this I wouldn't go back.

Friendly staff. Reception was understaffed though, on arrival had to wait 20 minutes to check in. Receptionist kept answering the phone while trying to check people in, caused more delay. Club room had a nice big TV but small bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good but watermelons slices were "off". Car park is v. V. Tight! Not much room to maneuver and spaces are small. Cars double parked and because drivers aren't asked to leave their car registration number when they check in, we couldn't find who had blocked us in.

Amazing hotel and great friendly staff. Room was great very comfortable beds!

Good central location, room looks very outdated, my rooms door frame was badly patched up in the past, the curtains are starting to fall off the wall, Wi-Fi is painfully slow — 200kbps, the staff is very very friendly, and the bed is very comfortable. Chromecast available in the room which is a major plus!

For the restaurant: cold service, no taste interest.

Stayed only one short night. Rooms look quite old already, well maintained but the hotel is very noisy. (Noise from the corridor, doors banging…) Hotel staff is very professional though.

Great night for a social event, friendly staff and not too expensive.

Had my wedding here, not one complaint. Staff are lovely, service was brilliant.

A bit off the centre. Nice and tiny hotel, clean, rooms well equipped and sufficiently large. Quiet except for the elevator. Excellent breakfast buffet. I however missed an adapter for central European plugs. Nevertheless worth the price.

I didn't like the manager ms. Snowden. He was rude and thought is was ok to serve parmesan too someone that clearly stated she was vegan! Stopped selling drinks when bar was open? Cuz they were lazy. Room keeping from 8-17pm. Very loud. No sleep.

Good hotel bit dated but still good very near city centre about 2min walk, food excellent.

Really excellent. My room was comfortable and had all of the necessary things to make my stay pleasant. The staff were all very polite and helpful. I didn't have time to sample breakfast, I'd imagine it's of a high standard. I'd certainly return for another stay.

Really poor, tired hotel. Service pretty lapse, tired dated rooms. Poor Wi-Fi. TV system not working. It was a terrible experience as a business traveller.

Attended the Hogmanay Gala Ball and stayed the night. We had an absolutely lovely time! The food was amazing. The entertainment great. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. Breakfast in the morning had a great selection on offer was delicious. We would absolutely stay again. The only negative we have is we just couldn't work out the light switches in our room, at 1 point we managed to plunge ourselves into total darkness and couldn't figure out what we'd done. However, we saw the funny side and it wasn't a big enough issue for us to drop a star over.

Great staff held back by out of date back office applications. Not made clear on booking is that parking needs to be pre-registered; that added £14 a day to my stay. Then there is an amazingly outdated parafinalia to be able to book expenses to one's room. And the Wi-Fi is a joke in today's environment. It's always slow and often not available.

Really nice hotel but in a really porridge area. Right next to council houses. Always hear junkies shouting.

It was being refurbished so I guess we didn't experience it at it's best as no restaurant or bar. Very big rooms though and definitely comfortable and relaxing.

Paid full four star rate for an allegedly superior 'Club' room, only parking for five cars, so didn't get a space, room was nothing special with a minimum size double bed, very warm but no air conditioning so couldn't sleep. Refurbishment was underway so no bar or restaurant, this wasn't explained until after check in and not indicated while booking using phone app. Breakfast was limited and self service in converted 4th floor meeting room. Not a four star experience, I felt thoroughly ripped off, won't be back at any Millennium Group hotel.

A good central location in the middle of Aberdeen. When I got here I was shocked to find that hotel was under major refurbishment and at the car park was unavailable. The receptionist Izabella, did everything she could to get me into the car park and make my stay very pleasurable one giving great service and worthy of the four stars for this hotel. The rest of the hotel was as follows: The rooms are pretty good and will be interesting to see what they look like after refurbishment. It's a nice touch for them to have the dental kit as a given rather than having to ask for it. Dinner was barely average, but breakfast was definitely better than most. Big disappointment was the awful Wi-Fi, without even an annoying option to purchase faster.

Hotel is fine but I was never told the restaurant was closed for refurbishment when I made the booking.

All positive: the room clean and in order, the necessary for the bathroom (the shower is a bit awkward to do), dinner is good and you can abundant with sweets. The international breakfast is complete, even if the croissants are salty. The staff is friendly as always and the place is not far from the centre and from the shops.

Central location, very nice rooms and the staff were great. Only complaint was no cider left at the bar but I'll assume that was a one off.

The bed was small as a double but comfotable. Cracked tiles on bathroom floor unsightly. Overall room was good for price we paid. Disappointed we had to have cold showers as no hot water at all. We did report it to receptionist on leaving but she did not appear too interested in offering us any kind off sympathy or customer service regarding this. Good shower is a must when we book an hotel stay. Bar staff friendly at night and, sure it was a manager in morning after breakfast that was very friendly and chatty. Sausages at breakfast tasted off but rest good.

We expected and accepted dated decor and furniture, but NOT damaged furniture. 1. Large tears in lampshades. 2. Damaged bed headboard. 3. Cracked bathroom tiles. 4. Damaged wardrobe. The Wifi may have been free, but due to such poor reception it was rendered useless. The room was too hot, we can only assume due to an internal heating system, as our room heater was off and the window open. Noisy fridge and some sort of noisy system in the walls. It is not acceptable to charge people for a room with damaged furniture.

This positive review belongs mainly to the restaurant. We stayed in the hotel and decided to have a dinner there and… the food was very very good! My partner had fish and chips which was ok. I chose chicken with mushrooms and blueberry-apple dessert and it was really delicious! The venue is lovely, the staff very friendly. I would come again and can only recommend this restaurant.

A bit pricey for drinks but nice enough.

We attended a quiz night in one of the function rooms and the chandeliers were what caught our eye first. Good venue, disabled access. Drinks as per hotel type prices.

A nice hotel with a welcoming bar and good value restaurant. We were a little disappointed with our room however. There was a noticeable humming noise that I think came from a boiler of some sort and the TV in the room didn't work at all. For £42 for a night we would stay again.

The location waa reasonable. However for being a 4* hotel, the rooms was dated, shabby and many things broken. The shower was rubbish and the hairdryer wss something like a 1960's prototype that overheated easily. The Wi-Fi was shoddy and we found the barman very rude. Not a good experience at all.

Spacious room, friendly staff and a great location. Only downside is parking is limited so you have to get in quick if you need a spot.

Professional associations use their rooms for meetings and presentations. Facilities are a bit worn out but OK. Staff is always friendly and willing to help.

I stayed at this hotel during a business trip last July and found myself quite well.
The room was comfortable and breakfast was plentiful and internationally.
For short breaks is a viable solution.

Was in Aberdeen for a business trip and stayed at the Copthorne hotel, stayed only one night but was still a nice stay, the room was very comfortable and located in the city center in a very nice neighborhood. I recommend this Hotel.

Hotel was very good and great value, well located with car parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful particularly one called Eva and another called Karolina. I will be back.

Although the hotel has good beds for tall people, and the service is excellent, the rooms are rather old fashioned and lacking in facilities for IT workers. The Wi-Fi is insufficient for video connections. There's also a lack of wall plugs for electronics to charge phones, laptops, etc. I miss charging my phone next to my bed. Staying here for two weeks I figured I'd bring my Xbox. Unfortunately the tv's don't support external devices of any kind, and arent flat screen as advertised at all. I would not even have minded composite standard definition play. On a whole I would not stay here again especially the two weeks I stayed during winter felt a bit long. For £11, 90 I expected a better breakfast as well. It smelled a bit of ammonia. Hotel bathtub could do with a mixer tap and in general more sound isolation would've been nice.

The hotel food and staff are excellent, but the hotel itself is in need of some TLC. Friday night saw a function taking place which meant the entire hotel was subject to loud music all night not vert 4 star — ish, have to question how this hotel gets this rating. Toilet in room did not flush properly, beds were old and well used.

This is not a hotel you want to stay. Front desk unfriendly. The room had not been touched for the last 20 years. The bed was broken. Need I say more.
