We booked a wine and dine deal on the 17/08/2018 as we were going to Aberdeen on the day after anyway, and didn't expect much, especially for the price. We were wrong. The hotel itself suffered a fire so is a little run down, but it was spotlessly clean throughout. The staff were as welcoming and accommodating as possible, going out of their way for us. The food was absolutely great, though the selection was a tad limited, it tasted amazing and even our little fussy eaters enjoyed it. The room was clean and well turned out, though the mattresses could do with a topper. The beds were fine though and we all slept well. No air con, so not sure about if the weather was especially hot or cold how the room would be, but there are heaters. Also one of the few hotels that can accommodate a family of 5 in one room. Overall I would happily stay there again.

Stayed here 5 nights/days while looking for long term accommodation. Friendly, helpful staff. The fish tea was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Room cleaned properly, daily. Good shower.

Really clean rooms with an adequate t. V with Freeview. Rooms could be a bit more modern especially with the amount of customers it have through its doors. Really friendly staff with a decent breakfast buffet. A nice pint at the bar with some lovely staff to have a bit of banter with. A lot of out of town workers so expect to see your average brickies labourer half caned making a c@ of himself. (Cut him some slack he's just an apprentice).

Lovely place. Lovely staff… For your money you wouldn't complain. Its not the ritz bit it's warm and clean.

Clean and tidy hotel. Basic but everything that is needed for a work visit. Food pretty good and a different food deal every night.

The room was great. Really big with everything you need. Really friendly staff and great food at great prices. Would highly recommend. I will be staying again.

Hotel fine. Slightly old decor but clean. No shower gel in dispenser so used the soap but not quite the same. Large lorry parked right outside our window and staff proceeded with loading it with something while chatting at full volume and throwing things about with some energy — all at 5-6am. So not really ideal. Barely slept a wink between that and the noisy floorboards in the halls. But £39 so…

Very dated hotel with over priced Wi-Fi and breakfast. Uncomfortable bed and fire alarm ruined a good night sleep with no explanation.

For the price. Very good. But if you want want Wi-Fi and breakfast (extras) book elsewhere it will work out cheaper.

Cheap and cheerful friendly staff clean room reasonably priced drinks all for £31 Happy days I will be back again.

Good for a nights stay. Nice friendly staff. Not much alcohol to choose from no sports on TV. Have to pay for Wi-Fi. Good breakfast.

Still undergoing renovations whilst I stayed but the rooms where very spacious and comfortable.

Good atmosphere. The manager and staff were very helpful. It was sad that the entertainment wasn't as good.

Can't fault this hotel at £29 a night. Bit dated but clean enough and warm. Hot water for shower/bath day and night. Plenty of parking is also available. The staff were friendly and happy to help. A decent experience overall in my opinion.

I would rather sleep on a slab outside. Never ever again also certain members of staff are a joke.

The gym was destroyed in a fire which is not the best. Food is ok and the rooms were basic. You only get 40 mins of free Wi-Fi then have to pay.

It looks nice in the main reception and dining area. Then you have a hike around lots of twisting corridors until you come to the lift. We were told it had been refurbished a couple of months ago, but paper was peeling off the walls in our room, Windows did not close properly and everything was very dated, you could also hear conversations in the next rooms. In the restaurant they have a good value deal of two courses for £13.95 but when we asked just for soup we were told it was still £13.95 so not such a great deal.

Absolutely disgusting… Starting from, dust/dirt is everywhere — it looks like nobody hoover/clean this room for a while; in the bathroom water leaking from the ceiling; can't close the window … When I reported that to the staff/ reception — nobody seems to be bother with it. I will definetly not stay there any more … I think that one star is too much for this place.

Just stayed 3 days with national holidays hotel very run down the 1st room we was given had holes in the wall the headboard hanging off bed and the bathroom was terrible… to say that they did move us as soon as we complained… all in all it very dated needs complete renovation.

Great until some idiot burned it down. Friendly staff.

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It is great and close to the bus stop either to the Airport or the downtown of Aberdeen. It is very comfortable.

Attended a wedding at the hotel, was decorated to a high standard prices at the bar were very good and I would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant place, very friendly staff from minute we walked in till we left, perfect location perfect food, couldn't AV asked for better.

Filthy, rude staff, no water. Worst place to stay that you can imagine.

Good hotel away from the city. Spacious rooms and large bathroom. Only 20 minutes Wi-Fi per day for free.

I only visited to check for available rooms but the place looks nice and I think that I will book a night there.

Had a bad stay this week mould around the bath, toilet seat chipped and in need of replacement, telly didnt work phoned reception twice and noone appeared were told there was nobody there to fix it!. Got up in the morning no hot water at all for shower or a bath. Complained at desk with the reply 'theres nothing we can do about it' unbelievable! Dont bother stayin here its awful.

Excellent, reasonably priced hotel at Aberdeen Bucksburn at short notice. Allowed dogs which was a huge plus.

Carpet not clened by room service. Change room steaming room nasty. Not ac in the room. Some hostels are better. Shithole like taxi drivers says.

Being right now in a room without Windows. And the smell… Chlorine and paint. I dont care if the staff is friendly or not (hint: they are not) … But the minimum I should get in a room is a window.

Everything was normal until I checked my bank account after a week. They charged me double price. I am still trying to take my money back with out any success. Avoid this hotel. They are not professionals.

My husband and I went for a short break, we had never visited Aberdeen and booked through Caladonian Travel at £99 each. After reading the low star reviews we thought we had made a big mistake, but we were pleasantly surprised. Quick ckeck in, lovely large, clean room with bath and shower, breakfast and dinner was excellent, nice small leasure ce centre and friendly staff, good value, we would recommend and we would visit again.

Labyrinthine hotel without elevator. Dingy room with heater not working. Wi-Fi only in lobby. Poor breakfast and damp (it was raining in the dining room and the water was collected from a bucket! ).

Room was ok until a stranger walked in at 11 PM as I was sleeping. Staff taking food from the buffet with their fingers. Rather stay in a tent on a roundabout of which there are loads.

Needs modernisation but life's crap deal with it, people are starving in the world.

In desperate need of refurbishment. The only awailable hotel in Aberdeen. Was shocked to find the price per night to be £399! and that was without breakfast included! + £7, 50. Never again if possible The only thing I can recommend is a fantastic cheese cake.

I stayed only one night but was greeted by a very welcoming face at the front desk. On arriving in my room I found the shower was broken and phoned to reception, the girl was apologetic and requested I return to the foyer. My room was changed and the second room was more than adequate. If returning to Aberdeen I will be sure to use the Brittania again.

Have stayed here over the lasr few years and wont be coming back needs a total over haul both the hotel and staff very disappointed.

Needs a eight good revamp.
