We had our Wedding Reception at the Northern Hotel, it was great, Clare was really helpful and the decorations on the tables etc were amazing. the food that we had during the reception was lovely and there were plenty of staff at the bar so you weren't waiting too long to be served. Our room was lovely and spotless, had a brilliant sleep! and the breakfast the next day was just what we needed. cannot recommend enough. all in all a great day and looking forward to coming back.

All good! apart from chef must have worked in a transport cafe! Even does a Vegetarian STEAK PIE! Doesn't seem to find beef to put in it!. But the staff were great! What a helpful lot nothing was a problem! Big thanks to you all!

I stayed two nights in a room on the third floor facing the street. The room was clean and comfortable and I slept very well. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant and a bar. The food is pretty good, I had the breakfast buffet and a dinner (haddock with chips). When I am back in Aberdeen, I'll stay at the Northern Hotel again.

Nice place and friendly staff. Went for a carvery on Sunday and didn't get much choice of meats or vegetables. The set menu was minimal and the gravy was too thin. What I did eat I enjoyed that's why this isn't a bad review.

Good for the price but can be very loud on a Saturday night if the function room is being used.

Rooms good, staff great and Highlander burger is just awesome! On street parking is free. Wi fi works and tea/coffee facility in the room. Looking forward to the breakfast.

Nice clean hotel. An older building but it's maintained well. Room and bathroom are spotless.

Must put this in for the 3 times we ve been with family members when carvery wasnt on. Excellent hot fresh turkey dinner with trimmings (half hr wait but ok if not in hurry n everything freshly cooked) staff always polite and do good job.

The staff is exceptional! My waitress was the sweetest, which makes a great difference. The food was also great, had breaded fish and chips and an exquisite hot chocolate. What they could improve on is the serving of the sauces.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good. Room is basic and comfortable. Main road outside is pretty noisy, so bring ear plugs! Bathroom is nice and adequate. 30s style of architecture is fab, including the lift!

Friendly staff good service, homemade burger was lovely. A well run local business.

Meal ok if you like your vegetables and onion rings from farmfoods. Certainly not value for money. Yet another establishment masquerading and charging fine dining prices for pub grub.

Nice clean public bar, good choice of beers, food a bit on the pricey side.

Despite being on the 3rd floor, I could hear the music from the function vibrating up through the building on the Saturday night. The heating wasn't great and the room was outdated. Bathroom was clean and modern; however the shower enclosure allowed water to spread over the floor when not angled into the corner. I've had much nicer hotels in Aberdeen for the same money.

I was in recently to enquire about my wedding reception and all the staff were fantastic answering all my questions and they have newly decorated upstairs and it looks amazing.

Basic rooms for what you pay, has been revamped with a lick of paint here and there and new carpets. Food is okay nothing special. You wouldn't take a date… staff are nice some not helpful though… Good for buffet night out.

Excellent venue for a wedding without breaking the bank. Fun and friendly staff.

Did a pretty successful Articuno raid, can recommend the hotel since you can reach the gym from the rooms.

The staff ware friendly enough, and the atmosphere was good. But we were very disappointed in our meal, the chicken was tough. Not sure how you make chicken this way, as it is so easy to cook we would not got there again.

Do not stay there. Worst experince ever. Blood on the sheets, mountain of dust, light hanging of the bed board, bar staff drinking on duty behind the bar, food straight from the freezer to the microwave, Continental breakfast, what a joke, 2 pieces of ham and grated cheese?! And don't expect a smile from the receptionist or a "good morning" The management should get fired at once! What a joke, ever Basil Forte couldn't do worse.
