We (family of 4) booked this as a last minute break. Feeling a little apprehensive on arrival, (we didn't know the area) we were quickly put at ease by the wonderful welcome from Victoria. She showed us to our cabin where we thrilled by the cleanliness and cosiness of it. Literally everything you need was in the cabin, felt completely at home. After we settled in we took the very short stroll to the lake… absolutely stunning, beautiful location. We took our kayak with us and was able to launch it from the bank. This was a fab way to explore the lake. (Not brave enough to have a dip). Best bits… wonderful welcome, beautiful location, cosy, warm clean cabins, use of the games room, use of washers and dryers and then, opening the curtains each morning to have wild friendly ducks looking up at you. Made me smile so much, great way to start the day. Thank you Victoria, Chris and family for sharing lochend with us. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic holiday. The chalets are light, spacious and well equipped. A true home from home. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook family meals, the appliances were efficient and easy to use. Very comfortable lounging area with a t. V and radio for chillaxing. Set by a stunning lake with breath taking countryside surrounding you. With good access to local sites of historical interest. The ducks are now part of the family!

Amazing place. Really friendly beautiful setting quiet and idyllic. The accommodation is fantastic and luxury had a fantastic week with friends and family.

We have been staying here for about 5 years, now. Absolutely love it. Location is great, right on the edge of the lake, wildlife on your doorstep. Kids love it. Lots to do and explore in a real magical part of the world. Staff are wonderfully helpful with great knowledge of the area. Can't wait to be back in April.

This is an amazing place for holidays. My family and I travel for 9 hours to come here for our holiday. We love this place!

Great hosts with fantastic facilities which are being upgraded to even higher standards to match the views of Ben Lomond and the Menthieth Hills. Our secret location is being shared as we have kept this for a long time. Thanks to Victoria, Christopher and yes… Toffa.

We had a fantastic time with 10 people in the house at one point, it didn't feel crowded and everything you might need was nearby. Great location and facilities and the staff are all friendly and helpful too. Only problem we had was the hot tub did not have 'clarifier' added towards the end of the stay but as soon as we raised this with staff it was sorted immediately! Overall 10/10, amazing time had by all!

If you want somewhere to shut yourself away. This is the place. So peaceful and tranquil. I loved my stay here. The chalets are everything they claim to be and more. If you want to get your children away from console's and social media bring them here.

Being a party of 4 families, we booked the Coach House and a chalet lodge for a long weekend. The Coach House is absolutely stunning, with the huge oak centrepiece table being the ideal place for all the kids and adults to sit around and enjoy some good food. The accommodation had just about everything you could ask for including Wi-Fi, coffee pod machines, dishwasher, huge stove and a cracking little Bluetooth speaker which was pretty much used constantly. We also opted in for the hot tub, which was probably used about three times a day despite the weather being poor. The kids always had things to do, either playing tennis, in the games room playing pool and table tennis, out in the play park chasing the ducks or with the adults out in the rowing boat which is available for hire. The setting, right on Lake Menteith is stunning and worthy of photos galore and is close enough to local towns and hills to act as a great point to explore the area from. Finally, the management are really lovely people and so willing to help answer questions or help with anything. All in all, I am quite sure we will be back here in the future and that really does say a lot!

This was our third visit to Lochend, with our nephew accompanying us for the first time. It was peaceful, as ever, apart from the occasional quack from a passing duck! Although fully booked I don't think we saw a soul and were able to completely relax and just watch the world go by.

Loved the area especially the loch, management was fantastic. Didn't like the chalet because it was all wood with small windows in the bedrooms. Which made them seem very dark Although for a week it was acceptable, the lounge/diner area had patio doors with a bird feeder outside, so it was nice to watch them coming down to feed.

Lovely cottages, but a little tight for 6 people which we had. Everything is there and the kids loved being on the edge of the lake as well as the games room when it was a little wet! The swings and play area had regular attendances. It was a great starting point for many an excursion. Thanks for a lovely time. Duncan.

I quite like the place. They have more games in the gameroom to do if it"s raining. There"s a tennis and a small playground for kids. It is peaceful and quite place. The house is just right for us. We love the jacuzzi except sometimes it is difficult to operate. I"ve noticed also that there were a bit of cobwebs around the house, but it"s okay we didn"t pay attention at all. It's very close to the lake. We"ve seen so many ducks around to feed and seagulls. You can do fishing if you want to. They were very helpful at Lochend. There"s a parking space for car. Overall, we love our stay and enjoy a lot. Thank you Lochend Chalets! We had a great day!

Fantastic place. We are just back and missing it already. We're planning on coming back in June for another wee break. Stayed in a chalet by the lake. The view was awesomehas nice comfy beds and is well equipped.
Lovely people and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for relaxing quiet time in beautiful surroundings.

Beautiful place, chalet is lovely. The family running it are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of info left in the chalet about the area. Also a welcome pack if tea, coffee, milk and Tunnocks biscuits. Ducks are funny, tapping patio windows for food. What a fab relaxing place.
