Dear All, Stayed for Business purpose two (2) times in June 2018 and was lodged once on ground floor and once 1st floor away of the elevator area. Plus: — Recently refurbished premises in typical low fare chain hotels (Ibis, Hilton Express, Formule 1, etc…) — Big room size, high standards and top quality, fitted with private heating facility. — Clean & tidy rooms, with acceptable king size beds, very convenient and well equipped bathroom!, wash basin, and toilet. — Clean, comfortable, wide bed ensures great night’s sleep. And for those needing extra pillows, no problem they are two (2) extra’s in the wardrobe storage. — Internet access (Wi-Fi) is free of charge, but slow. If needed, high speed is available on extra charge. — Price, Quality and Services ratio being very good for what you get (and also when comparing against other hotels in neighbourhood too). — Convenient for business purposes when supposed to approach the Port Area and Dry-Dock facilities of Greenock. — For the meals, you are at 10 steps away of the next door Pub/Restaurant “Brewers Fayer”. — Breakfast is good food for money at next door restaurant, and evening diner is offering a wide variety of possibilities. Full breakfast offers continental or fully cooked breakfast, including porridge, plus a wide range of various juices, tea/coffee/milk, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals and bakery items at the buffet. — Very sympathetic, smiling, attending and servicing Crew & Officers… Minus: — Public area’s being in pure, typical, and standardized low fare chain hotels (Ibis, Hilton Express, Formule 1, etc…) — No catering/kitchen facilities on situ, but next door pub/restaurant “Brewers Fayre” is open very late… (from 06:30 Hrs up to 21:30 Hrs or so) — Located on the out-skirts of Greenock down-town area. Personal transport being a must or a river-side walk being a better and healthier alternative. Neutral: — Less mobile or disabled room facilities available. Several parking slots available close to entrance. — No A/C, and room temperature can be on the high side if outdoor temperature being too hot. — After booking complete, if you wish to have a “Clyde River View”, just call the premises 2 or 3 days before your arrival and they shall manage to satisfying your wishes to the best of their availability. — Non-Smoking policy is strictly applied as all around — Smokers are invited to enjoy their needs outside of the premises… — All is to be paid immediately with valid Plastic Money (BankCard, Visa, Matser, etc…) and immediately. No credit allowed! Good advice keep your evidence of payment or proof of payment receipt, as some IT/Computer surprises could happen during your stay, and you shall need to prove your good rights for accessing your room again when the plastic key is not working… Stayed two (2) different times in June 2018, and traveled on business purposes. And several times already in the past and always with pleasure… and envy to come back… Room Tip: Prefer a room with a "Clyde River View" and away from the elevator or stairways, if you want to sleep well… Thanks again for the nice, restful and very convenient stay. Kindest regards Capt PJT.
