We had a great stay, with very accommodating staff, which helped us sort out food very late in the evening. Parking can be tricky, but we were allowed to park at the nearby shop. The breakfast was amazing with a great view of the sea, so definitely check it out!

This is a fairly large hotel and primarily filled with multiple coach tours (I was on one). The rooms need serious renovation and updates. The carpets are dirty and the bathroom nasty. No hair dryers in the rooms and few at the front desk. Hair dryers should be standard in a hotel this size (they seemed shocked I asked). My room had a small desk with desk lamp and coffee maker. Unfortunately there was no outlet anywhere near the desk. The only plug was on the center of the wall by the TV. In the attached photo you can see how you need to plug in the desk lamp. Certainly the owners are making a lot of money but putting little back into the property. I've seen reviews and property comments about renovations and new furniture. I saw no evidence of this anywhere on the property. Many others on my tour complained. One lady went to the desk to have the bathroom floor cleaned… said she wore shoes when in there. Not recommended for leisure travelers.

Great price. Near bus stops and next to a grocery store. Beautiful views of the water from dining room and some bedrooms. Full Highland breakfast was included. There is a pub and dinner service available. There is onsite parking. Rooms are basic, but fairly spacious by standards. Water pressure was poor and needs to be improved. Toilets did not flush properly. Overall good value and easy to reach all attractions on Skye.

Nice enough place. I'd probably stay here again. Nothing fancy, but cheaper than a lot of other options in the area. Staff were great.

It pains me to write about this location. Bespoke owns 200 locations and are opportunitists who are abusing the fact that they are the only hotel on the island that takes coach tours. The staff are lovely… and it is clear that they care. This location tells me to be aware of this chain and avoid them in future.   Sadly the ownership charges 5 star hotel rates in exchange for hostel like services.   The food is clearly frozen, or tinned food. Microwaved and served. They are such opportunists that the preset set meals agreed upon with the your groups. Are not honored. Staff are required to offer upsells of "Quality" alternatives… keep in mind these upsells are still at the same level as the rest of the freezer and microwaved food. The rooms are dated and tired. Considering that they are full almost year round it is sad to see that they take no pride in the impression they leave with the international community who comes to this beautiful place. So if you are booked here through a tour… You have to suck it up to enjoy the location.   If you are not on a tour and hijacked by the owners… Find another location that takes pride in the work.

Nice treatment and a good starting point to tour the island.

The Hotel was comfortable and clean. Refurbishment work was still going on in some parts of the hotel (March 2018). The buffet breakfast could be managed better, component parts would run out and by the time they had been replenished I had finished my breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel needs more parking space. The hotel is in a good place for a base on the island. There are a few local amenities, COOP, fuel station (with a electric car charging point), restaurant and bars in close proximity.

Spent two nights at Donollie. Lovely helpful staff and great food. Some things need updated but overall had a lovely stay.

Lovely Hotel with stunning views. Staff and service were great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great choice of starters and main meal, presentation was also good. Buffet breakfast was equally as good. Had a lovely evening in the Lounge with entertainment on Sunday night. Where we were made to feel welcome even with our large Dogue de Bordeaux. Well done to all the staff.

Food was mediocre. The Mussels with white wine, garlic and shallots came as boiled mussels with nothing else. The very friendly staff however didn't charge after we mentioned this.

It is what it is! For instance; coach parties are a regular sight, yes things could be improved, but you would then start paying more money. It's quite well situated for most things, it's not too far from the ferry, not too far from Portree, one thing I'll say is although the beds are comfy, when we were here (March 2018) they had a 3 too quilt on, and I must admit to being a bit chilly, but I just snuggled in and was warmed up by the body next to me … she's a dear that way! Enjoy.

Room had the most spectacular Veiw and has clearly just been updated everything was really fresh. Food was great good selection and always hit the spot.

View is great, shame about EVERYTHING else in this hotel. -mould on windows -unwashed bathroom glasses -unwashed/unmade beds -thick layer of dust on most surfaces -dusty phone -inexperienced staff who were unable to deal with my complaints in an appropriate way. All "remedied" with 1 free drink while they cleaned, which took longer than the drink. Room is now acceptable but still not great. A long way short of the price paid.

Klean and pleasent good value.

Had a good weekend here just to be let down by housekeeping not doing the room on our last night Hotel is basic and the food is fine If I come back to Skye I would find s different hotel Had been out all day only had an hour to our dinner and the towels not changed and bin still full Poor show Coldest bathroom I've ever been in Bedroom lovely and toastie.

Good view from the dinning room from where you can see the lake, nice breakfast. The rooms are not very big but are cosy enough.

The hotel has survived the best times long behind probably only from bus tours and butter rides the rooms are EHR cabins with Windows The EHR the name portholes deserve somehow the rooms are in the eternal state between not-quite-right-clean and Anxiously-purified trapped the Saniäranlagen are available and do not strive for the worst is the staff of Scottish cheerfulness is nothing to feel it does not lack much until active rudeness no hello or bye when you go, or comes only empty looks
If you ask after the restaurant is shown wordless with your finger on a door.
The guest only disturbs positively:-room service is good-breakfast is at least warm and plentiful, if man must have also wrapped up until 9:30 everything-some rooms have sea view-the hotel is quiet conclusion: for very tired and unpretentious travellers.

The place wonderful and very accommodating. We ate dinner, breakfast and got a lunch packed. All of which were great. The room itself was great and it had a fantastic view. Would stay there again.

Fine place to sleep for day or two, quiet surroundings and nice beds, but do not expect anything fancy, this is a place to sleep and that's it. Breakfasts gets boring after few times and upon arrival we met one of the worst receptionist ever. But overall 3 stars are what is supposed to be — ok.

Old Hotel to modernize. Cleaning just enough.

The place looks lovely but we went in for lunch and the food was cold and of an average quality. The waiting staff were uncomunicative and seemed bored.

The Dunollie Hotel is a very nice place to stay. Everything is clean and neat; food is very well prepared and served. Front desk staff were very nice as well. Definitely recommend!

The staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. This hotel is older so don't expect the latest amenities like Wi-Fi in your room, hair dryer or heated towels.

Stayed here on a B&B deal to explore Isle of Skye. Easy to find straight off the road bridge. Hotel was busy, & parking was premium. Lovely view and nice walk nearby. Also choice of restaurants​ and local shops. Hotel staff unhelpful when asked for ice bucket to keep wine chilled. Lively public bar next door. Quality buffet breakfast.

The hotel itself is pretty dated, and the rooms are very small and basic (eg. No hairdryer). However, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast was amazing, with a beautiful restaurant view. I also like that they allow pets. So if you are looking for a relatively cheap place to stay that is clean and basic, this place is excellent.

Yes located on the Isle of Skye and is a stone's throw away from the small fishing village and in front of a beautiful little harbour! Great rooms, very good restaurant kitchen and Cortesissimo staff!

While I didnt hate my stay, this hotel is terribly dated. The outside looks pretty bad, however the reception and lounge area is quite nice and had a decent atmosphere. The rooms are very dated, however. My single room reeked of cigarette smoke, the floors creaked badly, the toilet needed to be flushed multiple times if you used it, and the Wi-Fi only worked in the lobby. Parking lot was tiny, though a free lot is just 100 meters down road so it wasnt too bad. Additionally, I had a few bugs (beetles/roaches) in my room, which seemed to pretty much fit right in with everything else. Staff was very friendly, though, so that was a plus. I would probably avoid this hotel if I come back but I would be willing to stay again if I had absolutely no other choice.

Disappointing — overrated, overpriced. On first impressions the hotel looks a bit boring and quite frankly, a bit horrible. Once inside it feels a bit better. Carpeted and spacious waiting area, although people queuing block the entrance somewhat. Unfortunately, we got a room that had a view of a wall. Room number 1. It was small, but had everything one needed. The bed felt a bit saggy. The bathroom was minuscule, but functional, although the toilet had to be flushed twice to have effect. The room above has squeeky creaky floors. The person in the room above couldn't seem to sleep and paced backwards and forwards repeatedly for hours. So much so that I had to phone reception at 10:30pm and complain. I was abruptly told that the hotel was full and they couldn't move us, nor could they ask the person above to quieten down. I thought this was disgraceful. The whole point of renting a hotel room is to get good sleep. Something that didn't happen. The buffalo upstairs eventually seemed to run out of steam in the early hours and I finally got to sleep around 2am. I found the manner in which the hotel dealt with my complaint unacceptable. My mom paid for the hotel room as part of a gift to me and my wife and she feels horribly done in. £72.00 for a room and service of this quality is quite simply shocking. I would not recommend this hotel. I would have got a better night's sleep in the car. Very, very disappointing!

Good points were that the staff are really helpful and attentive. Bad points… room was a bit grubby and the window was so manky it was like having an unremovable net curtain. OK if you just want somewhere to crash out when exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye.

Good room, cheap enough for an evening in skye.

There on a 3 day stay from Valentines onward, Staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough for you. The meals were plentiful and the room was very good. Hard to understand some of the poorer reviews but we hope to be back!

Staff were so nice caroline loved ma wee cakes lol. Meals were beautiful rooms were beautiful highly recommend it had great valentines weekend x.

Stayed here in May with my girlfriend and words fail me! Luckily we got a room overlooking the water which was nice but overall its the worst place we've ever stayed. We got to the room (which had a musty smell to it) and lay down as we were tired from a 5 hour drive and cleaners came into the room! We went for a few drinks at night at the Broadford hotel and when we got back we were locked out luckily I phoned and got a night porter. Even he agreed someone should have told us they lock the doors! We were woken at 7am by the fire alarm which I believe goes off all the time! Went for breakfast in the morning and was greeted by the most unfriendly waitress ever. Marched us to a table that someone was sat at cleared the table even though there was easily 20-30 tables empty! Spilled the sugar bowl under our table and she walked away and left it! £250 for 2 nights was never worth it. Its basically catered for bus parties and we will never stay there again. Needs a lot of work done to it but most of all the staff (mostly the foreign ones) need to be a lot more welcoming felt like we were causing them hassle! Ruined an amazing weekend on Skye especially as we got engaged.

Noisy rooms (could hear the people upstairs walking around the using the toilet). Our reservation was messed up and only through the perseverance of the tour director were they willing to change our room. The food was unremarkable and bland. The view of the water is nice.

Very basic hotel. The single rooms were on poor condition. In reflection I should have booked higher up in the island. Limited choices of food and not great quality. Was booked as the only biker friendly hotel with 3 single rooms available. Wouldn't be my first choice on the island next time.

Very nice staff, very friendly to my 2 year old food was good too would stay again room view of the loch very nice.
