Great hotel and great meals and staff brilliant.

Quiet hotel excellent for exploring the area but transport needed.

Nice place. Nothing else nice.

A little dated but, considering its an old building it's in good nick.

Great decor, huge rooms, great view and right next to Loch Lomond.

Superb location, decent service. Perfect for short stay over at tarbet.

Avoid if you can. Quite mediocre food. Looks to be set up for large groups. There are other choices nearby. Try them.

This hotel was absolutely wonderful and in such a beautiful spot to. I went on the coach and would have give the hotel a five star score had it not been for the coach letting the side down and as both are part of the same set up I have knocked off a star. Why?. Well we were asked to pay £20 Each for a so called day out but it was a rip off. Take the first stop, just 10mins down the road from the hotel and nothing to see but an old smoking chimney and old grave or two. Then onto the sub base another 20mins down the road. No submarines to be seen and we spent the next hour having a Look at an empty hanger from this view point and then that view point. So boring. Then only 20 minutes to the sea for our hour and a half walking round in the rain dinner break. Then what we had been waiting for, our so called complimentary entry into sea world which you could walk though in just 10mins and that's me reading things twice. The hotel was first class and so were the staff but that trip lets the week down.

Just spent 5 days here, staff were great, food was excellent & the views were amazing, will definitely have to return in the future, only fault was the squeeky floors leading to bedrooms but made us laugh.

Location is fabulous. Building is nice, although could use some TLC. Dinner was very disappointing, service hurried and food cert production line. Seemed to cater primarily to coach parties.

Well to be honest, we didn't liked it. The room floor was squeaking, small and smelly. The staff isn't really friendly and is really quick in getting our dinner served but also in cleaning it up again. So we didn't had the idea that we were welcome. The toilets of the lounge are dirty and it doesn't look like they pay much attention to it. It's a shame about all this because we had a great time in the Highland Hotel in Strathpeffer of the same BayHotels company.

Just spent five days at this hotel, everything was first class. The dining room was a joy, both food and staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Will return as soon as possible.
