The ferry to Bute is less than 100 metres from the hotel and the island offers great beaches, gardens and the magnificent Mount Stuart Country House and Chapel. There are golf courses on the island and also at Kames which is around 20 minutes away.

We had one of the worst meals we've ever eaten in a restaurant here. And it was a Christmas one and expensive. Complained but we were ignored. An insulting experience.

What a friendly place. We stayed just the one night but between the great food in the restaurant; The exceptionally comfortable bed; and the delicious giant breakfast we had, we will definitely recommend this to anyone.
