Only used the new beer garden for birthday meal but excellent food, service and great value will be back.

We had a beautiful meal outside last night, great service, delicious food and drinks and stunning weather! It was a fitting end to my husband's 75th birthday! We will definitely be back soon. Johnny, you are a fabulous chef!

We have just finished an absolutely delicious meal of fish and chips and a burger. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will certainly be back for another collection soon. Highly recommended! Thanks to the team for the ease of ordering, collection and of course the very friendly service. Big thumbs up.

Just had another FANTASTIC take away from The South Beach! Oh my goodness… never had food like it! Fantastic selection and preparation, and such friendly staff to collect it from. Great experience all round!

Just left after an overnight stay and absolutely loved it — nice hotel, friendly staff and the food was amazing — scallops and langoustines were the highlight, finished off with a fabulous Scottish breakfast — we will definitely be back.

Such a good meal! There was 7 of us and we all loved it! So good to see so much fish on the menu in a seaside town. I had the scallops then langoustines which were delicious. Everything was very fresh and the service was also great. One of our party is celiac / gluten free and they went the extra mile to make sure she could get almost anything from the menu. Will definitely be my first choice for eating out in Troon again.

Great family run hotel, good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, food is the best and good size portions. Had our wedding at The South Beach, Stuart and his staff did an excellent job. Would highly recommend. We'll done to all. X.

First visit but unfortunately won’t be back. Even with the EOTHO discount the food wasn’t worth it. Not great service, sat in a room which quite frankly felt like a care home.

Mum & I had Sunday Roast Beef from S Beach tonitw and it was excellent! Swift service, generous portions and fabulous tasting! We will be buying again! Ta, Lisa and Anne.

Just had a fantastic Sunday Roast from The South Beach Hotel. Ordered and paid for it yesterday. Picked it up today — absolutely delicious — best meal of the lockdown so far can’t wait to have it again.

Fantastic time at the Valentine's dinner dance! Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. Food was great, both the dinner and the breakfast. Brilliant band, danced all night. Superb all round! Most certainly will be back — thankyou.

Had a lovely 1 night stay over 6th-7th dec we travelled over from Burnley Lancashire for an event at the Troon concert hall we found the staff very welcoming and pleasant the hotel was very nice and spacious. Our room was nice and big and had a wonderful view overlooking the sea front… breakfast was lush and Waiter was very polite the locals are very friendly and we enjoyed our stay we wud stay again
Only thing I cud fault was out room was really cold threw out our stay.

We went for a meal this evening — it was a disgrace… spent £250… the salmon came with a plate on its own and a pathetic effort of a separate plate with what was meant to be salad. When we complained and asked to see the chef, no-one was remotely interested. No wonder this is a hotel in decline. Good enough for a drink but no — where near meeting any expectations for a meal. It’s a shame as we all live within half a mile of the venue. Will never be back for a meal!

At the last minute the South Beach Hotel could not have been more accomodating and helpful to host a party we were having when we were let down by the weather!

Would like to thank Stuart, the Watt family and all his staff for another great weeks stay at the South Beach Hotel. Outstanding food and very friendly and attentive staff which has made our holiday. Very clean and family run hotel, great food and staff.

We stayed over night here with our dog. Had a great time. Back garden is great for the dog and relaxing. Food is absolutely phenomenal. We had the duck and the steak. Very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Will definitely be back.

First time trying South Beach… what a fantastic wee gem of a place. Our server Nathan was very attentive and is a credit to the Hotel. Food was definitely 11/10 and the presentation was spot on. Will definitely be back. Thank you xx.

The South Beach Hotel in Troon is a true treasure for beach goers and golfers. The proprietor Stewart and his staff welcome you to a comfortable hotel that feels like home. Don’t miss the breakfast and fantastic dinners. If ever in Scotland travel west to Troon and enjoy the South Beach Hotel.

Good food, clean rooms, busy bar and a pool table. There is TV for sport lovers in the bar. The South Beach have a nice relaxing lounge and bar. The staff are very well mannered, are courteous and helpful with any questions you have. The hotel is only a minutes walk from the south beach promenade. The South Beach Hotel is very popular with golfers as Royal Troon Golf course is in close proximity to the hotel…

Nice family run hotel. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Bed was too hard for me. Bedroom with ensuite bathroom needs a bit of tlc to bring up to date, but are perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. Reasonably priced accommodation, which we're returning to later in the year.

Lovely Hotel, used for two nights during business trip, nice rooms and very friendly staff. Breakfast was really good with amazing choice, ideally situated for short walk to town or beach. Would recommend this Hotel.

Went in for a few beers to watch the rugby… plenty of staff on… so service good… good selection of beers, whisky and gins… complimentary wee pies and sandwiches at half time. Nice touch. Ordered some snacks and they were lovely. Best nachos and cheese ever… great atmosphere in the bar area and nothing too much trouble for the bar staff… even though very busy… great stuff!

Had a super time. Room was great and the place was really homely (if thats how you spell it). Function room was ideal both in size (for 60-70) and in appearance (mix of classy panels and plain walls with a bit of curtains). Staff were great (Thanks) Try it if your in the area. Staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful! Room was lovely and clean, with a comfortable bed and I had a lovely seaview. The only critisms I have is that the shower could be improved (pressure was low and shower curtain that stuck to you when you showered), and I wasn't able to get Wi-Fi in my room. I had salmon for dinner in the lounge and it was so delicious and well above the standard I was expecting. It's a short walk to the train station, and the walk along the promenade up to the main part of town is lovely too.

Attended a wedding at the weekend. Had a lovely time. Lively setting and very friendly staff. The evening buffet was fantastic!

Good location, with plenty of space in the bar with a pool table too. Also additional space outside the large function room. Staff are cheery and very accomodating.

My wife and visited South Beach Hotel with a party on a Coach trip. The hotel is first class, with spacious well decorated clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast and evening meal were part the of our package. I can only describe the full Scottish Breakfast as ' Magnificent '. However, besides the cooked breakfast there were many alternatives including fruit, porridge etc. There was enough there to set you up for the whole day. The evening meals were also superb with choice but of main course, starters and sweets. All well presented and prepared to the highest standards. It s a fact that the quality was of your accommodation is a major factor in the enjoyment of your holiday. Well I can honestly say the Hotel and all of the staff at South Beach Hotel made the holiday into a most pleasant event for my wife and I. Bearing this in mind I would wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel to anyone wishing to stay in the Troon area. To sum up it's simply a pleasure to stay in this delightful Hotel.

Had a night down there a couple of days ago and have to say this place was great. Room very spacious and had nice view, there was a golf club storage area, breakfast was great and the food/atmosphere in the bar were really good fun. But the best bit about it was the friendly staff, they were all very attentive. Top marks. Thanks.

Mid priced food and drink and dog friendly. Located very close to the beach. A great place to lunch after a walk with the dog.

Just spent couple of nights in this hotel. Had lovely time. Staff were all wonderful, most courteous and helpful. Had breakfast both mornings and it was excellent. Hotel garden at rear was lovely to sit in when we arrived as weather ideal! Great way to start our break! Many thanks.

I would like to pass on my thanks to all at The South Beach Hotel. Upon arrival Jonny made my coach passengers very welcome and smoothly took charge of all the luggage with his team. The food has been outstanding with a wide choice. I had the roast each night which was amazing. No room for a pudding. :-) I would like to also pass on my thanks to Vicky at front of house for being such a good host and praise your hotel for cleanliness and the very smart and well mannered local staff. I look forward to visiting this beautiful area and South Beach Hotel in the not so distant future with another coach party. Best wishes for continued success! We stayed there on a trip to Scotland and enjoyed every minute of it. The food was fantastic. We had chicken stuffed with haggis topped with a whisky sauce. The hospitality of the staff and owners was just the best. I can't recommend this lovely hotel enough — best place we stayed in Scotland!

Everything about South Beach Hotel is spot on perfect. It is a beautiful place, with beautiful decor. The staff is wounderful, attentive, and pay attention to detail, not to mention extremely friendly! We had our wedding reception here and Stuart and the entire staff made the day perfect.

The staff couldn't do enough to be helpful and although the building is old it has character with the wood paneling and comfy chairs. Sea views from some rooms.

Just spent 4 nights at this Hotel with a party from Leeds and we had a great time. The hotel staff were wonderful and could not do enough to please us. They were all cheerful and attentive and could not have been more helpful. The food was excellent with a varied and enjoyable menu both at breakfast and at dinner.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Traditional modern decor in the bar with 2 TV screens and a pool table. Good section of draft and bottled beers and excellent parking facilities.

Very friendly people, good breakfast and a warm clean room. Easy stay over from Glasgow Prestwick airport — it took me about 10 minutes in a taxi from the airport last night.
