We stayed last night in family room with 2 kids & our stay was great. Staff lovely & breakfast good. Lovely clean hotel. We will defo be back.

Very disappointed overall. Advertised as a peaceful hotel only to return at about 2130 to an extremely noisy bar and what appeared to be a kareoke that we could hear from our bedroom. It went on until midnight and once it had finished the noisy drunk guests continued to be extremely loud, slamming doors and further continuing to disturb us. From the bedrooms perspective the bed was a very uncomfortable and springy mattress. The room was clean and the girl who checked us in and out was very polite. It's a shame the hotel didn't warn us when we booked that they had this function on or at least warn us when we arrived. Maybe I could have at least packed some ear plugs if forewarned (maybe that's a general lesson to me? Or should I not expect to have to worry about this? ). Breakfast was ok but nothing amazing. Glad to have left and unlikely to return.

Five of us had a really comfortable stay last night at the hotel! We where greeted by Hardip and then looked after by Antony and my overall opinion of The Old Prestwick Hotel was that it offered really good value for money! I would be happy to use it again!

Quirky course, average clubroom.

Teeing off into History! If you are an avid golfer this course drips with history and the start of the game. Going back to the days of Old Tom Morris, this links layout is still as challenging as the days when 200 yd drives were the norm. As being the first course to host the Open Championship in 1860, you will get chills just stepping on the course. At least I did. You can sense the historic value this course holds and almost see Old Tom playing along side as you stroll the fairways of this links course. If you get a chance set a tee time and bring your links "A" game, you will need it. Course knowledge is a plus so get a caddie if playing for the first time. FYI Americans, No changing your shoes in the parking lot and hats off in the club house. They take the game seriously, as they should. Highly Recommend!
