Went for the festive afternoon tea yesterday, food was amazing and plentiful, lovely mix of savoury and sweet as well as being really well priced. Service was fast and the staff were friendly and efficient, special mention to the lovely young man who served us, sadly didn’t get his name. Would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic night at the party night. The band, food and atmosphere were great. The waiting staff though were by far stars of the night. So coordinated, polite and professional. Well done everybody x.

Had our wedding here on 28th October 2022 and it was perfect. Staff were great, food is unreal, couldn't fault anything. Stayed night before aswell with my daughter rooms were immaculate, comfiest beds and restaurant was great. Definetly recommend a d will be booking night away soon.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and wished we had stayed at home. The room was very dated and certainly not luxury accommodation as stated. There were holes in the walls, the carpet was dirty and stained and there was dampness on the ceiling and mould in the bathroom. We could have got much better room elsewhere for the money spent, not good value for money at all.

Another tribute night and overnight stay as usual great night all round staff are excellent friendly and helpful highly recommend.

Great overnight stay and Take That/Westliffe tribute night. Meal at function was super, choice of starter and main. All served afficiently and food roasting and very tasty. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Tribute act great and DJ … well you were brilliant, playing music and requests keeping dance floor full. 5 stars.

We had our wedding here on 29/4/22. What a day absolutely amazing. Rebecca and amber are truly thee best wedding coordinators ever. The staff were just perfect as well. The staff commented that it was the best wedding they had ever worked at.

Great tribute night its been a long time, soo much dancing, dance floor certainly showing over use.

Fantastic Christmas party night at the Carlton Hotel in Prestwick. The staff were so friendly and professional and super efficient. Although it was a busy evening, they all seemed so relaxed and in complete control (puts guests at ease). The meal was delicious with a varied choice to suit everyone and it’s great when your whole table gets served at the same time to eat together, not always the case in other places. The function suite looked so Christmassy, very tastefully decorated and really beautiful. The band were phenomenal, what a fantastic group and had everyone up dancing all night and really entertaining. For our first Christmas night out back, we were over the moon. Expectations were exceeded. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our night a fun successful night. Merry Christmas 🎄 😀

Friendly helpful staff working a difficult situation. Food tasty and plentiful both dinner and breakfast. Drinks reasonably priced, Outside area for drinks. Rooms clean with all of what you would expect in your room. STAFF definitely made it an enjoyable visit.

Thus is our 3rd time here love it staff are so friendly food is amazing and rooms are so clean and comfortable would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a couple of days.

When out for a meal yesterday. Ordered a can of coke for it to come 79p priced marked then to be charged £2.80. Also poor service when meal came and not offered any sauce etc. Disappointed as I have dinned here many times.

Stayed for 2 nights last weekend and as always left happy. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was amazing. Staff were all very friendly and felt safe in the current situation. The chef sent over a nice wee happy birthday dessert plate which was a nice touch.

Room spotless food amazing staff really professional very helpful considering the lockdown felt very safe well done to the hotel keep up with the excellent service.

Had an amazing 2 night stay last week with my husband. Hotel was lovely and food was amazing, a bit let down on the second night by the service in the restaurant everything seemed to take ages and forgot a few things but I think they were short staffed, it still didn't take away from the amazing food though. Just a few minute bus journey in to Prestwick where there are lots of bars etc. To visit. Would defo recommend the Carlton for a few nights away or even just dinner, and can't wait to come back again!

Had a fab over night stay. Great food, great cocktails, staff where lovely very chatty and friendly. Room was beautiful we stayed in the suite with the most comfortable bed. Looking forward to our next stay already.

I have been here now many times and meals are always lovely. The only problem I’ve ever had is the bar is quite often under staffed but it wouldn’t put me off going back as the food and place is worth the wait.

We have been to a lot of tribute nights at the Carlton and Lochside hotels, we attended the Dancing Through the Decades night last night and although we enjoyed our night the food was terrible, we’ve never had such bad food there. I had the vegetarian option and the rice was tasteless and stodgy. The portions were also tiny. The alcohol was extremely expensive, an Opihr Gin with Tonic was £6.35 which is ridiculous. Every drink we had was just shy of £5. There was also far too many tables crammed into the room and it was difficult to walk up through them to go between our table and the toilets. Definitely things that could be improved at future events.

Had a lovely lunch with friends yesterday. I opted for the lasagne and the strawberry cheesecake from the daily specials. The food was piping hot and really delicious and only £12.95 for the two courses. The service was good too. First time eating here in many years and can't wait to return.

A very pleasant stay in a hotel with a co venient location. The staff were just excellent and provided a friendly and efficient service. The hotel represents excellent value for money. Will definitely return.

Wonderful establishment near the water. Set in amongst trees. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast buffet and hot breakfast menu. Good dinner menu and many locals recommend the Sunday Carvery. Town is a comfortable 20 minute walk or a nearby car rental can take you further. The coast is a drive well worth taking and the Troon golf course is a short distance if you are into that.

Good location for a comfortable non snack lunch. Outside area very attractive but inside is a little dark for daytime eating. Excellent staff & good value for money.

Booked a table for 3 adults and my daughter who is ten and is autistic. Asked for a quieter section of the restaurant as she can get quite stressed and also asked for a dietary requirement for her. The restaurant actually went out and specially got this for my daughter. This means so much to us as a family as we could never take her for a meal without some form of a meltdown! The staff were amazing especially Kirsty who organised everything for us and her daughter who was our server also. Great service here and would recommend to anyone. Thanks for family time xx.

Was there last night and had a truly amazing time. Food was outstanding, really delicious with good portion sizes. The brilliant staff looking after our party of six is what made it even more wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were incredibly attentive, polite and extremely happy. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as it's not only the positives I've mentioned, it's also a beautiful hotel and restaurant that holds functions such as weddings etc. You will most certainly be taken good care of here and have a fantastic time too. Thank you all for a fabulous evening.

Never been in! but the glorious cooking smells waft over to my house at the rear of the hotel. I have heard its a great hotel plenty of guests in and out all the time!

The Logan restaurant are now doing VERY reasonable two and three course priced lunches. A pleasant restaurant experience and also has it's own car park as well.

Very friendly staff, we had lunch on the lounge area. Very nice ambience food was very good. No problems in recommending lounge for food and drink.

Pleasant family friendly eating, suitable for large or small groups. Keen prices to suit all pockets. Good choice from the menus and excellently prepared and cooked. Would definitely recommend the Carlton to one and all. First class but not over the top.

Tribute night, food very slow to come to the table, I was not eating (medical reason) but it looked ok some thought the chicken dry, but fish good. No choice of pudding. I was looking forward to the coffee 3 times I had to stop my clean cup being taken away and finally got my coffee had to rush to loo and coffee was gone when I came back.
Could not see the show could hear it and it sounded great. If I had not been there for a friend I would have complained and demanded at least a coffee for my £30.
Very disappointed as I have been to this hotel many times for meals and it was great.

Attended a wedding reception here and stayed overnight. We were well looked after by all of the staff throughout and the place was lovely. We stayed the night, the room was well presented and clean. My only issue was the small towels. The continental breakfast spread was great and the cooked breakfast tasty. Fantastic stay.

Poor service waited ages when we arrived to be asked if we wanted a drink. My partner had carvery and my daughter and I had something off the menu scampi and fish goujons. My partner was half way through his meal when we asked the waitress where the rest of the food was, she went into the kitchen and said won't be long they are just making it to which I replied to cancel the order. Very poor service won't be back!

Always a great Sunday lunch experience and the kids have loved it prior to going to Uni. They now love it to stock up on food at weekends before going back to toast and beans. Carvery is always fresh and vegetables are plentiful, who could ask for more.

A Business meeting… Reception staff and manager were positive and helpful. Just need to put bit more attention in. Coffee/tea not labelled. No biscuits. Although once asked very nice shortbread supplied, "home made" scones excellent. But sandwiches dry and saugage rolls bland and greasy.

Nice place but poor service at the bar. The young staff who work in the bar need some training in customer service. Left standing on more than occasion while they chatted among themselves or with people they knew on other side of the bar.

Normally service is good, but on this visit it felt as if we were forgotten about a few times. I have strawberry allergy and although I informed staff of this, my afternoon tea was served with strawberry jam.

Nice hotel and restaurants. Popular for weddings. Nice photo area. Food is good, but vegetarian meal served to my wife as vegetable bake was just cauliflower cheese with two bits of broccoli, with chips. Pretty sad compared to the other meals served at the same cost.

Our visit here was amazing. Staff attentive, room was immaculate, and the food was delicious. When leaving I was given a voucher for a DB&B visit (to be used within 3 months) at a discount price. What's not to like.

One the best Hotels I have been in over the years used to go nights out and had the carvery went to a wedding of my nephew stayed and had breakfast was a great day all round the staff were professional and friendly and would go back no problem.

Visited for dinner at the restaurant Logan's. Food was great and had a good selection of drinks. Service was quick. They even helped us get taxis into Prestwick town as they a situated a good distance from the main clubs and bars.

Had our wedding at The Carlton Hotel on Friday, couldn't have asked for a better day. The staff were all amazing especially (Laura Fisher) our wedding coordinator, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was lovely but the staff were a bit distant, not that I wanted new best pals but they would finish there conversation with you while walking away and not looking back at you, it was almost rude. Room — perfect, Food and Drink — perfect, Staff — needs improvement.

My meal was good, although one of the meals was not good at all. The manager did take the price for that meal off the bill, so that was at least something. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Let's start with the overall Venue, the rooms and suites are okay, they have the basics but no 5 star. The venue has very limited space for gardens and as a photographer this makes group shots difficult as alot of the grounds outside are taken up by carparking. The next thing I will get on to is the efficiency. I was working a wedding and I was needed in the middle of the dinner to film a suprise singing waiter. I was more than pleasantly surprised when we asked the restaurant if we could have the starters and main put out as fast as and together if possible. The foods was delivered in 10 minutes! This gave up plenty of time to set up. They did very well in helping us throughout the day. Overall I'm giving three stars because of the rooms plus grounds but overall service from the staff was very good and would be happy to work with them again.

Have been to the hotel few times and it has never disapointed me. The good and the staff are both terrific and the food is served quickly and politely. Well done to your staff. Keep it up.

Didn't stay in the hotel unfortunately but we ate here and it was THE nicest food I have ever had at a hotel restaurant. Beef cheeks with mustard mash with a haggis bon bon. Yum yum bloody yum. Might be best to book tho.

Just home from a lovely break at this beautiful hotel. We were only booked in for one night but enjoyed it so. Much stayed for another night! Very comfortable, specious room. The wife and I, spent 4 days at the Carlton hotel, witch we thoroughly enjoyed. ALL the staff were excellent, particularly the staff in the dining room and the Chef's, who helped us in our dietary requests. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this Hotel.

Food lovely… let down by service. Group of 7 out for meal… all had drinks order taken… exept me! Ordered drink… didnt come. Had to shout someone again! Someone had tonic water spilt over them… n charged for it! Another member ordered drink post meal… wasnt brought. Had to get again ask for it! Disappointing!

I attended a course at the hotel but did not eat or drink there. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Just now, the hotel is undergoing referbishment and extension.

Lovely hotel, very clean, food is excellent, my only complaint would be no Air-conditioning or a fan to keep you cool at night, but it didn't bother me to much because being in Scotland you don't tend to get many warm nights.
