Lovely hotel everything you need fully equipped gym great location.

After staying here last week & reporting how dirty the floors were & the amount of silverfish on the walls bedding ect. Wet & sticky stuff on the curtains, small unit/table under the TV just gets wiped with a dry cloth not cleaned properly. All reported by us plus other customers going off Google reviews nothing gets done. No issues addressed. Apparently a deep clean was done on Saturday 2nd October, not sure how as we stayed in all day. No covid measures in place, no social distance what so ever, basically every man for himself. There are better hotels in the area plus the price you get quoted is different from what they actually take out your bank. People search before considering ibis oldbury On the plus side the front of house staff make you feel welcome so 10/10 to those guy's.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for sometime. My stay was Pre-lockdown. Highly recommended hotel. Fantastic staff and very impressive decor. Ample on site free parking and a great gym. We chose this hotel as it’s close proximity to Junction 2 of the M5 and the fact it was an 11 minute Uber ride into the city so great all round! We will be returning to Birmingham hopefully when lockdown is lifted and there is absolutely no doubt that we will be returning. Many thanks to Anj and her team for making us feel so welcome.

Nice quirky hotel with a peaky blinders theme. Rooms nice and clean, staff excellent. All Covid — 19 procedures followed.

Great room, Luke, Demi and all other staff extremely friendly. Made us feel very welcome and no rush to leave. In disabled and they helped us with our cases. Would definitely stay again.

After staying here a few times & always felt welcome this stay was the worst. Because of a member of staff not checking us in properly we are apparently not on the system. Never has someone felt so not welcome as this stay. Will not be coming back, as a paying customer who wanted a break I feel I need another break to get over this one. Not good guys, you have a problem then sort it out & not constantly bug the customer.

Phenomenal service from staff. Going the extra mile to ensure we have an amazing stay. Veronica is a real credit to the company and the hotel industry.

Now called the IBIS Styles Hotel. We stayed here on Friday the 17th of August simply to avoid a long journey home after a long day. The surroundings are uninspiring as its right near an elevated section of motorway but we only needed a room for the night and it was £45 Inc breakfast. The hotel has just been refurbished and is modern in decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy but have clearly been refurbished to a budget rather than a standard. We ordered food and weren't expecting much as we were literally the only people in the bar at the time. To our surprise the food was actually really good and we all said how much we had enjoyed it. The following morning we enjoyed an inclusive breakfast of which there was plenty of choice.

It'll be nice when it's finished. The electrics switch off completely when room card is removed. Poor doo. But the food is belting. Deffo worth a stay.

Room was very stuffy and air conditioning wasn't working, mattress felt rather cheap and was uncomfortable, and shower was disappointing (worn out showerhead). No natural daylight in room, just a frosted window to a corridor-like area containing some building materials. Expected much more for £124 for two nights, slightly more expensive than Travelodge West Bromwich and not even close to the same standard. Only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is that the staff were friendly and helpful.

Dangerous lack of escape routes' notices from these rooms. Not easy to find room numbers on arrival or exit routes once there. Room clean and location easy to find from the motorway. Uneven floors in corridors. Confusing myriad of corridors and rooms.

Not the nicest of stays. I suppose you get what you pay for but the breakfast was cold and not very fresh. The croissants were rock hard 10 minutes after the kitchen opened. We also had some extremely noisy neighbours. So all in all, we would look for a different place to stay next time. But then again, the price here is very attractive, so won’t rule out coming back here again. Oh, and the only window from our room was just out of this world. Have a look at the picture.

This hotel is actually a repurposed kitchen centre showroom. And it still does it feel like it. Right down to the roller shutter doors. On a positive note it is really well located, but for the same money or cheaper you could get rooms in the very nearby major chain hotels. The room itself was clean and tidy, but there are a lot of internal rooms with no natural light, and I stayed in one. Bit like staying in a room with no windows. I guess it's ok at night. The finish in the room was shoddy. Which is a real shame because there is refurb money being spent, but it's all being done on the cheap and feels it. The building appears to be mostly building site. In summary, stay at one of the nearby chains if you can, for the same money. I paid £55 for the night and would not have stayed if there were vacancies elsewhere. The staff I met were very professional and courteous, which was great. I didn't stay for breakfast so could not comment. You pays your money, you takes your pick.

Staff very friendly and polite. Building abit old and kind off falling apart (cosmetic mainly). However it has got a gym and you do get a lot for your money and breakfast ok, can't complain.

Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Going through some building work to renovate rooms at the time of my stay.

Poorly maintained hotel with good staff. The rooms are shoddy. I had an electric shock turning the kettle on and it blew the ring main in the room. Room 2 the bed was awful. The plug in the sink didn't work. The wardrobe was falling apart. Situated right by the M5 so motorway noise all night. Breakfast was excellent. Good spread. Attentive staff. Reception staff friendly.

Room and bed were both dirty, shower was broken and in the morning the breakfast was of a really low standard. As I managed to get a room at a ramada hotel the night previous for cheaper than the travellers Inn I was rather disgusted with what I had actually paid for.

Even though I had few issues at 1st night, it was quickly resolved. Stayed for 10days and over all… its not bad. Will recommend.

Brill. Comfy. Very clean and tidy and the reception guy was a credit to the company.

Room was to hot and the radiator did not have the temperature dial to turn the heating down. No mirrors in the room and no hairdryer in the room, like detailed in the facilities. Furthermore there was mold in the shower. On a more positive note. New wood floor was nice.

Stayed at this hotel last week and although the breakfast was lovely and the reception staff so very nice, the hotel is tired and tatty. The room was clean but two single beds pushed together as a double, creased sheets not ironed and thin shabby towels. Not the best!

For the money, it isn't a glam place to stay it was clean and bed was really comfortable and was cheap. Staff were really friendly and helpful and plenty of choice at breakfast. Would definitely stay again if I'm that way again.

Reasonable rooms which were quite comfy, tea and coffee stuff provided and quite a nice bathroom.

I watched Warley boxing club at the Travellers Inn function room. Staff were friendly and it's a good location to host a boxing fight.

Don't get me wrong this isnt a 4* hotel. But for a very low price you get a clean comfortable place to sleep and a nice hot shower, parking and 24hr friendly checkin close to motorway which I what I needed to break my late night journey from carlisle to Devon. With the window open I could hear the motorway which is the downside of convenient location, but with it closed I was fine.

Clean and quiet. Painting was being carried out at time if stay so strong smell of paint.

Bit shabby. The price includes breakfast but as u can see from pictures. This all we had for breakfast. And also the rooms were not up to the decent standards! I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

For the money this hotel ticks a lot of boxes. More than reasonable given other larger chains in close proximity who's rate were double. Has a Gym on site which is FOC for residents. Food was good value for money, rooms are spacious but basic and have all needed​ amenities In the room. Iron/ fan/ tea/coffee. Perfect for those looking for a budget hotel.

Budget at its most average. Rooms are okay. Food is okay. What pushes it to 3* is the free use of the gym. Worth staying just for that. Staff are helpful and attentive which is good…

Awful experience. I booked two rooms for four of us. Upon arrival, all seemed fine. Walking through the halls to our rooms, we could smell old cigarettes. In one of the rooms, we only had one hanger and a leaky iron. In the other, there were no hangers, (not even a rail for hangers) and no iron. We also had exposed wires where the lights should be in the bathroom. For breakfast, we were offered "continental" breakfast and told we would have to pay extra for hot food, despite paying extra already for breakfast. We were also informed this by another hotel guest as none of the staff could be found. I would advise people to choose somewhere else to stay, unless you're satisfied with gone off toast and beds with springs poking out.

Very basic, breakfast wasn't the best but it was all very clean and tidy so can't really complain.

Built out of an old factory/office block to good standard, warm, comfortable and clean and very good value for money. Including Continental breakfast, fitness suite, entertainments room and Chilli Buffet. Friendly staff.

I stayed in the Travellers Inn, Oldbury, Birmingham with my girlfriend the Saturday night just gone. Upon arrival all seemed well, the room was clean and the receptionist was friendly. However, around 8pm we heard loud, banging music from downstairs and we was not aware that there was a function going on. If we had known we would not have booked here. The music stopped around 11:30 pm but unfortunately until early hours there were men outside, drunk from the party beforehand shouting and fighting and throwing things. My girlfriend and I were very alarmed and worried for our vehicle parked outside on the premises. To my knowledge the staff did not usher the guys away in a hurry and we had a very bad nights sleep. If you book to stay here, we suggest asking if they have any functions going on.

Check in was fine and payed on arrival. As soon as the door to our room was opened however, we were sweatily greeted by the stench of an incontinent relative that happens to be unknowingly dragging the corpses of his several, beloved yet soggy puppies behind him. It stank. There were, what I can only describe as wood chippings evenly spread across the brown stained carpet, something that I am impressed was visible considering the lack of working bedroom lighting. Expecting the worst, I was pleasantly surprised when the bathroom light could compete with the flicker of a single birthday candle and went over to look at the ̶p̶o̶n̶d̶ shower. Previously intending to wash alone, I had not packed enough product to share with the nine newt-like insects that occupied the floor space so commenced their eviction using the shower head. Considering the absence of anything resembling a hotel room, I informed reception of my discontent and they, ignoring any chance of a refund or even a pleasant but empty apology, swapped the key for last remaining twin room. It adopted an identical layout but on first-glance, appeared to be a preferable alternative to the traumatic squat next door. Sheets were now covered in dust instead of red spots, towels were now present, albeit pre-used and although every fixture was either severely crooked or blatantly broken, it seemed like an upgrade in contrast.

Great staff, nice room and a free gym throw in all at a great price. What more do you want people :)

The stay was mediocre at best, much of the food was cold and the gym lacked replenished water facilities. Following my stay at the Travellers Inn I was informed that my personal data had been shared with a third party, thus breaching the Data Protection Act, this is seen by me as both unprofessional and nothing short of operating as an 'amateur' organisation. It's a flagrant disregard for the provisions of the law and totally unacceptable. In view of this I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, how could I when they can't even operate under the law of this country.

I stayed here, best budget hotel I stayed in.

Of the hotels I have stated at in Birmingham, the Travellers Inn is by far the best. The hotel offers very nicely appointed rooms, great service, good food, and a convenient location.

This hotel was excellent in all regards, especially the food at Benny's Restaurant on site. My only complaint would be that the room was too hot at night. Great value for money especially if booked through one of the various booking sites online rather than direct (will be significantly cheaper).

Excellent care. Good Toilet. Comfortable bed room. Really cheap hotel for me. I am actually poor. Fit for me.

First impressions were good until we got into our room. Awful smell of cigerette smoke. Bed looked like it had not been changed. No soap in toilet. Random wet patch on floor. No channels on tv. Breakfast tasted like yesterdays. Finger marks on tables and crumbs and dust on floor. Will never go there again unless there are big changes. Shame as place has so much potential.
