Always lovely and love the conservatory area! We went to the bottomless brunch it was such a good day with live DJ and dance floor. Service was 11/10 got drinks immediately. Will be booking the next one can’t wait.

Such a Beautiful place. With lovely views. Freindly staff nothing too much for them. All staff Willing to make your stay or visit such a pleasant one. Stayed quite a few times here for different occasions. Has lovely clean comfortable rooms. Great cocktails at the bar. Comfortable relaxing + modern, Loved it each time. Went for Sunday lunch which was served cold on complaining they provided another which was still as cold 7 of us dined and found it an extremely disappointing experience will definitely not return and would not recommend to anyone customer service was really bad.

We had our wedding at the strawberry bank hotel on the 1st of November 2021 and it was amazing! Nicole, the wedding co-ordinator worked so hard to make our day perfect and was so accommodating. The staff were very professional and did a great job during the reception.
The atmosphere was lovely and the venue grounds were beautiful!
Also the food provided by the strawberry bank for the reception was so well done and we had many compliments from our guests.
We will definitely be returning for meals and on our anniversary!

I was there as a wedding videographer, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

Making the most of their garden and opening up within COVID guidelines, the atmosphere was spot on for a weekend afternoon drink in the sun. The pizza and sweet potato fries, made to order, were delicious. Friendly, efficient service too.

Lovely experience, went with a child who didn’t like the children’s menu and they tailored the starter menu to create him a dish he would enjoy. Young gentleman server was lovely and polite despite the rush caused by eat out to help out. Thankyou strawberry bank.

Food was good when it eventually arrived. Service slow. Louise who wasn't our initial waitress was very helpful & attentive.

We have returned for drinks in the beautiful garden on Sunday afternoon and found it very relaxing and chilled.

Well I went to this pub just for a drink and packet of crisps but have never have I been so welcomed by the staff and thay would be one in particular. I believe here name was Becky. Many thanks for your hospitality and will be recommending this pub to me friends.

Just had lunch at The Strawberry Bank. We chose the cod and chips and brie and chutney melt. Both were very tasty, well presented and arrived quickly.

Had a meal there tonight with my two friends. We ordered from the Christmas menu. We had two courses. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food.

My wife and I enjoyed a cider here, great selection of drinks in comfortable surroundings.

Went to a party here. Great room which is quite large with a bar. Food is excellent with a good choice of menu. Lovely garden to sit out in as surrounded by fields. Bedrooms quite large and comfortable but do need upgrading. Best bit was the breakfast. It was really good and as it was buffet style all the food was fresh and hot. Great place with a good atmosphere.

This was my husbands favourite place for a drink and something to eat.
The staff are always helpful and friendly and will cater to your every need.
More recently though, my husband passed away, so I had no hesitation in asking The Strawberry Bank to cater for his wake. Nick and his team did everything they could to make it the best possible send off for him. The food was as always of a high quality, the staff were as attentive as always and the room well prepared including a memory table, a playlist of my husbands favourite songs and a photo screen on loop.
I know when our children and I return to The Strawberry Bank we will be looked after.

Good food but disappointed£ with desert choice no fruit I need to start a campaign to have a simple interesting fruit salad on the desert menu it’s not difficult but some of use do not want cream ladened, stodgy deserts.

Just been for a meal here. It looks lovely. The waitress was lovely and very obliging. The menu was very limited. When I asked I was told this was Sunday menu. As a vegetarian I had my heart set on the fried halloumi and chips or vegetarian platter but was told these were not available on Sunday menu but she would ask the chef. The chef said no! Fair enough, the options were nut loaf or veg pie. I ordered the pie as I thought at least veg pie is a little different — it was! Rock hard pastry, no vegetables apart from peas and chips. For £11.00 I could have got a lot better at the local chippy for a lot less money. My husband ordered toad in the hole which comprised of 2 sausage, flat Yorkshire pudding and a few new potatoes — no veg — also £11.00. So disappointed by the food! The waitress was lovely though.

Loved it. I was there for work and stayed afterwards for a drink — wonderful setting. Friendly, helpful staff. Super pint of Sharpes Atlantic! Entertainment in the garden was fab.

The bar needs freshening up but generally it ok, the garden needs landscaping as it could look amazing and the manager could do with smartening himself up.

Pricey but food was very good and service was good exslent.

Best fish and chips I've had, ever! Simple and delicious, none of that land and dry "triple cooked chips" Homemade mushy peas and tartare sauce were out of this world. Service was very friendly and quick. Perfectly cooked and priced. Cute pub/casual bar feel. 3 for £12 starters were a plus. Only giving it 4/5 because the starters felt a bit meh compared to the mains.

I was going to leave five stars. As the staff are friendly. Food is good… Price is good… Nice hotel in a nice surroundings but… Drunken guest shouting and singing in the garden outside my room way past midnight waking up my 5 year old son is not acceptable… Management should instruct there drunken guest that this is not acceptable as other people are trying to sleep… I rang reception several times but no response… I definitely will not be returning and I'm going to ask for a refund as compensation for no sleep.

Friendly staff on reception. Rooms clean and tidy. Large restaurant and bar area. Breakfast is buffet style full English option. Communal areas a bit tired.

Staff very friendly and welcoming, food extremely nice and worth the money, nice family atmosphere and nothing too much trouble.

I haven't had a chance to try out the food or looked at of the rooms so this review will be based on getting a drink with friends and family which The Strawberry Bank is great for. The bar area is large with comfy seats. There are also some secluded seating areas within the bar so if you wanted to have a business lunch or be more private you would never feel encroached on. The staff are always friendly and about as efficient as you can get. It really comes into its own outside in the back garden on a sunny day. The garden area is large enough that when all the seats are taken it never feels crowded. Whenever I've been there the clientele seem great and you would never expect any kind of trouble. There are great country views as far as the eye can see which is at stark contrast to the front parking area.

Family meal and dined on the deck which made it even more enjoyable. Great food, excellent real ale and service to match made it a most enjoyable and we will be back.

Lovely setting service friendly from a lovely waitress. Food is fantastic and good value for money definitely come here again and I live 2 hours away. The perfect place and staff for a summer drive out. See you when the sun is out!

Staff are always friendly, we turned up early and they checked us in and gave us the keys for our room, food is always good had lunch nice set menu.

Nice hotel, great location for Birmingham and NEC, had lovely evening meal, average size room clean etc, lovely breakfast, would stay again.

An initial poor experience that turned into a great experience. We were greeted by a (slightly) tired receptionist at the end of the day, who was juggling us, other guests and phone calls so fair play to her when she probably just wanted to go home. Checked in and found our room stunk of smoke. A quick complaint and we got a new (better) room and a genuine apology. The room was pretty basic but comfortable and certainly better than others at this price. Dinner in the restaurant part of the pub was excellent, great value and really well looked after by all the staff. Breakfast was standard fare but for the price no complaints and again well looked after by staff. When we checked out the previous nights receptionist was there, recognised us and apologised once again for the smokey room, which was a nice touch and appreciated. Its not the Ritz, just a great value place to stop over and have something to eat and drink and is certainly worth more than the price we paid. We'd quite happily stay here again in the future.

Had a brilliant stay at The Strawberry Bank Hotel and a delicious meal in their restaurant, compliments to the chef! Would definitely recommend it and fully intend to stay again. The staff from reception to the waiter on duty for breakfast were polite and very helpful.

Good value for money. Helpful staff and comfortable bed. Porridge and fruit would be a good option for breakfast.

We hosted a presentation diner here for 60 on a cold January night, 3 course diner, good selection of menu options and I've not had a single complaint from anyone. Great job by the team at the Strawberry getting everyone served, the food was good the service great and the management and staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended.

A competent but pretty unremarkable hotel. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to love it for either. The room was spacious. Well situated for the airport, NEC and Birmingham Business park. Very acceptable for a reasonable price.

We had a great stay here and ate in the bar/restaurant. Happy hour made the drinks reasonable but thought the food was a little over priced for what we got, very busy but a good atmosphere, nice to just enjoy with a shirt walk back to our suite.

What a shame Our annual visit today but it will be our last. We were put in the conservatory with 2 cheap wall heaters that never took the chill away. Started with the wine / lemonade spritzer coming out with soda water (easy mistake from the bar) the menu was ok but if you are looking for pub classics then it's a burger for you. The staff were either to cold to come and wait on us or they were well understaffed today. 2.5hrs for just drinks and mains for 8 of us. We ended up having our coats on for coffee. Just wanted to get out of there fast. The other tables also said how cold it was, one guy even checked to see if the heaters were working! The manager said it was a new area with underfloor heating? Please turn in on in future if you sit customers in there, I believe we were not the first to complain but they keep taking the bookings I guess? Why put customers in those conditions without adiquate heating. It's a basic requirement / need… Very poor show indeed. As I stated this is a real shame as we have been many times before and enjoyed ourselves Ps don't have the shoulder of lamb without ordering sides with it and gravy. 3 pieces of lamb, small triangle of potato and a desert spoon of (I think mushed peas) £15 1 star as I cannot give any less YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Nice hotel — good facilities and great value! I only paid £55 for bed and breakfast. The only downside is that the walls and doors let in a lot of noise — I could hear everything from the room upstairs! I would still stay again though.

Even as Peschetarian we had a fabulous meal, a great variety of tasty food. I am very very impressed, I will take my whole family for Sunday lunch again! Menu choice superb even on a fix menu u are given 4 choices for any of the three/courses.

Nice little hotel about 15 minutes from the NEC, despite not being a chain like Travelodge, it had a similar feel. The staff were very pleasant and the food was great. TV had a good choice of channels and the shower was hot. Parking was free on site and there was plenty of it. The only reason why I have this place 4 stars rather than 5 is because the night we stayed, 2 cars were broken in to outside. This can happen anywhere, even on your drive and the staff didn't react like this happens often so it could just be a one-off, but this was my experience, I would visit again, I'd just be sure that nothing a value was left in the car.

Went on Saturday night with my wife and a business associate and his partner. The food was OK (as in, I was starving and would eat anything). The service was disjointed. Had to send the Camembert back as it was rock hard and under baked. I ordered a steak and requested medium. It came out with more blood than a Saw movie. The fish dishes the ladies ordered were dry and over cooked. All in all the best experience was the wine. The service was ok. Had one very friendly waitress at the start then we never saw her for the rest of the night. Never got given the desert menu… bizarre. Never again.

Just been to my sisters wedding here. Can not recommend it enough the room they got married in was lovely, staff amazing very professional and nothing was to much bother. The wedding food was gorgeous and plenty of it. Made us all very welcome. Must say breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

I stayed here for 2 nights while working at horse of the year show. Room was clean and comfortable. The shower was powerful and hot (which after a 12 hour shift is heaven). The food was fabulous. The 2 nights I stayed I arrived back at the hotel about 9.45ish when the kitchen was closed and the member of staff in charge still took my order so I was able to have my dinner! I can not thank them enough! Really pleasant place and I can't recommend it enough. Would definitely come back. Thank you.

I attended a wedding at The Strawberry Bank Hotel and was very pleased with the venue. The room was clean and well appointed and the shower had decent water pressure (there was no bath in my room). The food was really good generally and I thought that the buffet breakfast was one of the best that I have experienced. My only criticism is the bar prices which were really very high. I live in London so I'm used to paying quite a lot but this did seem excessively expensive.

Used to have a very good Sunday carvery, but this has now changed to plated meals, people who had the. Beef, for a supplement, found it very tough, and some of the Roast Potatoes were like bullets.

Hotel is a nice plesent place, beer is overpriced though and the beer tastes off, had 2 pints of guinness and both were bad, then a pint of doombar and it didnt taste right, if you want a good beer go bulls head over the road instead.

This has been our 'Weekday escape from work spot' for couple of months and have to say you can't find anything better. Amazing atmosphere, great beers and awesome food. Best place in town.

Really nice hotel, good location for the nec. Amazing food in the resteraunt. Bar doesn't have the most extensive drinks selection but enough to keep you happy. Will be looking to stay here whenever I am at the NEC in future.

Food good, service good, went for Sunday lunch and couldn't wait to leave. How can you have a conversation with music so loud that it gives you a headache. I'm sure that the music is on for the staff not for the clients.

Delightful meal to celebrate my daughter's 21st the other night. Staff very attentive, beautiful surroundings and it was lovely to sit out on the decking overlooking fields I would suggest however that cushions are provided on the outdoor seats as my bum did get a little bit numb. Many thanks.

Stayed as my company booked a meeting here and I needed 2 nights accommodation. The rooms are clean and the bed very comfortable. A nice big shower too. The overall service has been very good. The food in the restaurant was very good and the bar is well stocked with a good selection of wines and spirits. Impressed with the Jim Beam! If I'm in the area again I would definitely return.

We stayed here as it was convenient for the Genting Arena. It was clean and comfortable and well-decorated. The only problem was that we were in the disabled access room right next to reception on the ground floor. The noise was constant — banging and the door opening and closing. Not to mention the noise from the room above. We could virtually here what they were saying, and let's just say the bed springs need oiling! Also the bathroom was a wetroom which would be perfect if you had mobility problems but was a bit odd for us. The breakfast was a full English buffet which for £5 each was exceptional value. We would stay here again as it's a nice hotel, the surroundings are really pleasant and it's convenient for the Genting but we would make sure we had a first floor room!

Stayed at The Strawberry Bank Hotel on business. Nice location, easy to find. Service was excellent as well as the food. Most parts of the hotel felt like they had been recently refurbished. Room was clean, comfortable bed, good size TV, shower only in my room which I prefer. Free Wi-Fi & really nice garden.

We only stayed here for one night but found the staff to be very friendly. The rooms are a good size and are very clean and tidy with a large comfy bed. The breakfast was superb offering a wide range of foods both cold and hot. Although located by a main road there was no noise from any traffic as the rooms are set back away from the road. Apart from the usual noise of people coming and going from there rooms there were no disturbances of any kind. This is a great place to stay if you are going to the NEC for any reason and a lot cheaper than hotels near the complex. It only took us 20 minutes to get to the NEC in the morning at 9.00am in very heavy traffic. We would have no hesitation in staying here again. A big thank you to all the staff.

My wife and I went for lunch with my father and stepmother. Staff were polite and helpful, holding open doors and looking after us during the meal. We had starters and desert from the main menu and main course from the great value lunch menu. All our food was nicely presented and well cooked. Pie of the day was good, turkey and ham in a white sauce. It came with a mini saucepan of gravy, which did not really go with the pie. Deserts — the ice cream that came with the deserts was good. Drinks and 3 courses for around £20 a person. Will definitely go again.

Lovely location and beautiful food. We enjoyed a quality dining experience at a reasonable price. The staff were lovely and there was a good atmosphere in the building. Extremely pleased with the evening and the venue.

We went for the Sunday Carvery and really enjoyed our meal. The only let down was that the roast potatoes weren't all fully cooked. However, the rest of the food was delicious. Service was quick and our waitress was really friendly and nice which made it a good experience.

My family were here on Sunday 17th May 2015 and included family visiting from New Zealand. There were thirteen of us and we were given a table near the window looking out on to the gardens. Perfect start. The food was excellent, carvery and a choice of starters and desserts. Serving staff were pleasant and attentive which makes the meal more enjoyable. It was excellent value and after the meal, the children in our party went outside to run around safely and we were able to watch them from the comfort of our chairs with coffee and drinks aplenty. This place was recommended to us by another restauranter who was unable to take our booking, We will definitely be going back as some members of our family were unable to attend on the day. The Restaurant Manger was extremely polite and helpful to us as our elderly mother was in a wheelchair and we were given every assistance. Well done THE STRAWBERRY BANK! see you again very soon for another enjoyable Sunday lunch.

Stayed here and ate in the bar area, it was a little dated. Also, there was only one area in the place I could get onto the Wi-Fi which was a bit of an inconvenience.

One of our favourite hotels, we have attended a few functions now and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and facilities. Could not recommend it enough — good location, ample parking and spacious rooms. Breakfast and evening meals are first class and lovely gardens and function rooms available. Staff are lovely and very efficient — we can't get enough of the Stawberry Bank.

The rooms are lovely and spacious, the staff are very friendly the breakfast included in the price of the room was lovely, perfect location for the LG arena as the bus runs from outside the hotel to the arena and late buses back I certainly will be staying there again the next time I am visiting the arena.
