Recently joined the gym here and it is fabulous. The facilities are second to none, yes it is a bit more expensive but the pool and classes are of a very high standard. Lots of free parking on site and it also has a restaurant, pub and Starbucks on site. Adjacent to the gym is the spa which members also get a discount on their treatments. There's a very friendly atmosphere in the gym and the member facilities are of a very high standard making the membership very good value if you will use it often and like to be social.

I stayed here on a corporate visit. Upon arriving I found the reception staff really helpful, the air con was on in the room which was great as it was a super hot day. The room didn't have a fridge so I couldn't keep my water cool, I tried to order room service for dinner but no one answered, after several attempts I had to call the main reception who took my order however it took nearly an hour to arrive. I would stay here again but it night not be my first choice.

Met a friend to watch a World Cup game. Great beer. Good service at the bar but scored a hattrick that I didn't want! I've been to three Village hotels and ordered wings. Each time the order has been slightly wrong. They were good but not all of the order received. Didn't challenge the staff because I was enjoying the footy so they didn't get the chance to make amends.

My son booked a spa day as a birthday treat for me and my daughter. We got to spend the morning using the Sauna, Steam Room, Jacuzzi and Pool. We then both had a back masage followed by a facial. The day also included a lovely chicken wrap and tasty salad and drink. So thats what the the day entailed. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a friendly smile in the main entrance and directed downstairs. Where we had the pleasure of being looked after by Leanne. Fantastic customer service from start to finish, front of house, bar staff, cleaning staff everyone was, friendly, helpful and put us completely at ease. Leanne took us around and showed us where everything was, and made sure we had robes and towels. When it came to having our treatments we cant sing the ladies praises enough. Both made sure we were in a soothing, calming, and relaxing atmosphere. The treatments were amazing and we both left feeling de-stressed and pampered. Lunch was really tasty the lady behind the bar was really helpful and it was a lovely way to finish our day there. We will absolutely be returning for another visit soon. Thanks to all staff at The Village for making our day so special.

Very expensive for what it was. Food OK, nothing to rave about. 3 glasses of wine, VERY EXPENSIVE, £19 all but a couple of pence. Band was good. Dance floor VERY small. Never saw a waiter/waitress smile in the time we were there.

Attended a meeting here and found it to be excellent. Facilities and catering were both excellent and the staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely hold meetings here in the future.

A really nice hotel. Very polite and helpful staff. The rooms are clean with free car parking, swimming pool, gym and sauna. I had a meal too and it was lovely. I've stayed there a few times and I'll be staying there very regular.

Loved staying here! Had lovely treatments in the spa, Marcia’s back massage was fantastic! All staff super friendly, and nothing was too much trouble! Would come again!

They try but it's a noisy party hotel. Don't be afraid to move rooms to somewhere quiter, and take ear plugs. Staff are helpful though and it's not their fault!

Excellant gym would definitely recommend with very nice staff members and clean. Only downfall I would say in the gym is that the music is too low. Otherwise its great.

AMAZING staff are so friendly and the hotel is gorgeous, everything is clean and the bed was super comfy the room was stunning. The staff found out it was our wedding anniversary and we got upgraded to a club room had pretty swans made out of towels on the bed and even a late check out and bottle of bubbly, already looking into when we can come back again. Breakfast all you can eat was tasty and hot and plenty of choice. Thank you village hotels xxx.

We have stayed here a few times now on the room and meal offers. Food is excellent and the leisure facilities are very good. Room was comfortable with good facilities. Not the most comfortable bed and could have done with extra pillows. Overall great value and we will stay again.

Room amazing. Upgraded for us as it was our anniversary. Beautiful room, bed linen, so comfy. Food amazing. Excellent service. What more could you want for a anniversary weekend away.

I've had many great experiences at the Village Dudley both as an in-house guest and just visiting the bar. I've not stayed in-house for over 12 months so I shan't comment heavily however I always found the upper deck rooms (as they were named then) to be a fantastic comfortable stay and any issues were promptly rectified. I do however like to visit the bar every now and again as it's one of the best drinks you can get locally I feel. A lot of local pubs lack quality in the beer they serve but here, although maybe a quid more than you'd expect a pint, is absolutely quality every time. Really nice gin too. Nothing too fancy in what they offer but good non the less. If you're looking for a calm quiet drink with a comfortable atmosphere and dim background music, this is ideal.

I visited this place in 2002 when the company that I worked for had a Xmas party. We met in the bar before our party and then went onto the many other function rooms to have our party. The meals was excellent, They had a good selection of beers and if you wanted to stay the night you could book a room no problem. They also have a gym membership and have there own swimming pool. I recommend anyone to visit the village hotel.

Great stay here, rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfy and it was nice and quiet at night. Only thing we found was it was tricky to navigate at first as floors / layout were a bit odd. Prices were also good — definitely recommend if you need to stay in the area.

We had a fantastic time this is a excellent place to visit at a reasonable price perfect for a visit to the Midlands and black Country. I was tempted to knock a star off as our room was awkward to get to from reception, and the bar and Starbucks was expensive but you don't have to use them. The room was a good size and the bath and shower were excellent with plenty of hot water. The staff were all friendly and helpful extra pillows took 2 requests but turned up. The breakfast on Saturday ad Sunday was excellent but Monday not as good. All in all a good place and we will be visiting again.

Bedroom was extremely hot. Couldn't turn the heating down. No aircon. Room dark and I felt claustrophobic. In fact throughout decor dark. Some things broken in room such as light fitting. Sky TV had no sound either!

Plenty of space in car park despite it being busy. Set meal was ok but nothing special, not really worth it. Staff were very friendly and chatty. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfy, air con worked perfectly. Bathroom was clean and spacious with an awesome shower in the bath — I love that you get the option of either, most hotels don't bother with a bath anymore but it's really good to have one.

Visited to use the gym/pool facilities. Decided on joining my 1st spin class whilst there — I was not disappointed. It was full of heavy rock music and a energy to match driven by the hidden gem instructor Stefano. Thanks to all the others in the class for making me feel welcome. I'll be back x.

Room service facility was bad as no one ever answered the phone. Had to order food visa reception who got my order wrong once. Other than this everything was perfect. The TV was amazing with all channels available. You had every facility you could think of in the room. Nice breakfast and having Starbucks within the hotel was a bonus.

Oh my… I will not recommend this hotel: Customer service was awful, the hotel advertised free Wi-Fi — and there was no Wi-Fi connection on the upper floor even after several complaints; restaurant staff was not helpful and not nice at all, the advertised day pass at Village hotel has been stopped and this wasn't updated on the hotel website, the rooms are so small, stinky and sfuffy, bathroom is so dirty. I can go on and on. Pros: Complementary drink per room and free parking plus location is ok.

Great gym good food but very thin walls and rubbish pillows so not a great nights sleep.

The hotel was very modern and provided good services. My partner and I enjoyed using the leisure facilities. We received two treatments each at the spa and ended the night with an a le carte meal. The room was modern and had Sky available. In the morning we both enjoyed the self serve breakfast. All staff were more than pleasant and helpful with any enquiries. We will be staying again in the future as I could not fault any aspect of our stay.

The staff and management are helpful and always ready to meet your requirements. The food was hot and tasty. We wanted somewhere reasonable and close to lots of things to see. From local landmarks to Shakespeare country to Birmingham. The rooms are not five star but adequate for our needs clean and tidy.

Brilliant hotel and decent gym! Pool sauna and hot tub are good for a chat with friends and relax after the gym… But usually they're the reason you don't go to the gym The pub is brilliant and being a member you get slight discounts which help when the football is on and you're getting a round in.

Great hotel offering the convenience of a poo, l resturant and within easy walking distance of the black country musuem. Highly recommended if you have children.

Stayed overnight on a valentines package meal and room special, the room was excellent and they had rose petals on the bed with chocolates and a heart shaped balloon which was nice. The restaurant staff were very polite and chatty and the food was ok too. Drinks re a bit pricey but I guess that's too be expected. If you do stay then upgrade to the upper deck rooms as they appear much better than the standard.

Just spent 4 nights here because of work and can honestly say I couldn't fault anything. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was superb. Food was fine and great facilities (spa, gym and pool).

Unfortunately I have to complain about couple of things regarding our wedding day. The first is regarding the wine: we had chosen one of the most expensive wine on the wine list provided and was not available; that type of wine as been agreed months ago with our contract and I have only been informed about the issue the night before at about 20:00pm when was obviously too late and we haven't got choice but only a cheaper wine for the same amount of bottles because also this cheaper wine was running out. The second issue is regarding the cake, we did request to keep the cake in the fridge and the staff told us, after we said that the breakfast room was a bit cold, that they had to keep the back door open cause the cake, so I can only suppose that the cake has not been stored in the fridge and as we saw after, the cake was not refrigerated. We found cockroaches on the evening buffet… Horrible! When did entered the room not all of the decorations where in place and some where actually on the floor and I (THE BRIDE) had to fix a long Just marriage banner along the buffet table, and some gold wheels on the bar area, BECAUSE NONE OF THE STAFF SEEMED TO BOTHERED ABOUT IT. Well I could carry on with a long list but I'm gonna stop here… ONLY ONE ADVICE FOR COUPLE: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I have stayed here a couple of times on business and I have found that the quality of the rooms is extremely poor compared to the price that you pay. I cannot fault the staff who are always friendly and helpful and the leisure facilities are great. The rooms are run down and dirty, the first time I stayed here I found a pubic hair in the coffee cup in my room and a large chunk of hair on the drinks tray that had obviously not been cleaned in a long time. Also there was mould on the sheets. I complained and was told that there were no other rooms available and that the room would be given a thorough cleaning in the morning (they changed the sheets and mugs immediately). When I got back to the room the next day the house keeper had made the bed and nothing else had been cleaned! The second time I stayed here the room I had was cleaner but my colleagues room was not. I would not choose to stay here again, which is a shame as it has the potential to be a very nice hotel.

Nice hotel with great leisure facilities, but not somewhere to come if you want a view. Our room looked onto Tesco Extra. We opted for the Upperdeck room which came with an extra comfy bed, free starbucks cofee, sky TV and bose speaker system. The starbucks coffee is still instant, make your own and the speaker will only allow you plug in an old style ipod/iphone. We did take advantage of the sky movies and the bed was extra comfy. The rooms had a few signs of wear and tear and the windows are tiny. Getting to our room was also interesting as you need to go in two lifts to get to our part of the building. I would say that they definitely could do with a few more signs, especially how to get back to reception. The leisure facilities are nice and we enjoyed a massage whilst there, they could do with putting the gates before this so you don't have to ask to be let in and out all the time. We weren't offered any extras like slippers or robes and there is a definite shortage of padlocks for the lockers. Which seems a slight flaw as I'm not sure where you would leave your stuff if you didn't happen to have one yourself.

Dined at the Verve Grill, complete disappointment. Food was poor and expensive. Asked by four staff within the space of 2 mins if we had finished our starters (we hadnt). Ive stayed in a few Village hotels and this is the worst so far. Victory pub, slow staff with no real interest.

I have just stayed in the Village Hotel for the last four days and have had a fantastic time. Loved the pool, spa, gym, restaurant, bar, service was five star from everyone! they made me feel like I have known them for years! Rooms are clean but some did need upgrading, nothing major! I would recommend this hotel and shall be returning in the near future. Thank you all so very much for a great stay. X.

The night reception man was happy friendly and a great asset to the hotel, we checked in at 4am 16/11/13 and he was bright eyed on the ball and overall very pleasant.

Great value overnight stay, comfy room, tasty food and great leisure facilities :-D.

Not sure what happened for some of these reviews but our experience was excellent. The staff are warm and friendly and very helpful, the room was a little warm but it was a muggy evening and they had provided a large fan so that was ok. The hotel facilities are excellent, we spent some time in the pool which is a nice 25m job and was clean and well maintained. The changing area was large and with good showers in individual cubicles. We ate in the Verve dining room for dinner and the food was good value as they had a deal on (3 courses for two people, £29) and it was tasty and well cooked. We also had the included breakfast, the cooked part of which was being freshly turned around regularly and which also included pastries and fruit. All in all this was a relaxing and enjoyable stay and we'll definitely be back.

Twelve us came to the take that tribute last night for a friends 40th birthday we each paid £30 and was having a 3 course meal. The food was shocking to say the least! the garlic bread was so hard you couldn't put your folk in it! we then had to borrow cruet from other tables as ours were empty. The main course was just as bad, the meat looked very much like pork belly draft. It was supposed to be TURKEY! It certainly DIDN'T taste like it, the veg (sprouts and carrots) were so dry I had to mash them to a pulp and mix them with what little gravy there was. The roast potatoes had nothing in them but air! the dessert I had was tasteless xmas pudding and cold custard, need I say any more about that? NEXT: the room was so packed with tables we were having to taking the plates off the waiters and passing them along! when any one wanted to go to the bar or toilet the whole row needed to stand and push their chairs in! it was so busy and in the one bar there were only two staff who had no interest in even trying to speed up. In that bar I paid £19.95 for a bottle of wine, in the other bar I paid £10! the free bottle of wine we were offered to compensate the unbelievable experience was laughable! ADICE FOR THOSE THINKING OF GOING TO THE VILLAGE FOR A GOOD NIGHT OUT, MEAL AND GOOD SERVICE GO TO UR LOCAL PUB AND THEN HAVE A KEBAB OR PIZZA LATER.
