Apart from the fact that when we got back all be it late on Saturday night it was locked up tight and our corrier had to phone for them to let us in. The hotel was clean beds lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was hot and plenty of it.

Staff were fantastic food was beautiful! the back of the hotel (which is facing london road) doesnt give the building the wow factor which it truly deserves.

A beautiful clean hotel which is well maintained. Our room was nicely decorated and very clean slightly small but it didn't need to be bigger. It has everything you need. It also has a full size ironing board and iron, a hair dryer and fan The bathroom is large nice big shower with toiletries. This is our 2nd visit here and they have not disappointed. Food is of good quality breakfast is a must! lots of choice and plenty. Staff are helpful and very professional and polite. The manager is very helpful and a credit to the hotel. The location is good as it is not too far from the town centre and is just off A45. A good place explorer Coventry and it's surrounding areas.

A really poor experience from start to finish. As others have said you don't stay in the building that they show a photograph of. You stay in a prefab building to the right of that, and it's not nice. Rooms are extremely hot with little ventilation. Mattress is very firm and uncomfortable. Then there is the restaurant. … no vegan options despite giving 4 days notice of dietary requirements. Lied to by serving staff. Chef unable to cook jacket potato properly. Still raw. Same with onion rings. Some Staff appeared to not want to be there. Mediterranean platter served without hummus? When asked why, server had to check with kitchen to come back with an answer of we haven't got any! Expect to spend 2 hrs in the restaurant and that's if there are only 4 people eating. Communication between departments appears to be non existent despite them being 20 feet apart. The worst hotel I have stayed in. Sorry but you need to sort these issues out if you expect good reviews.

Nice hotel with amazing food. Stayed there as part of a wedding party and staff were very attentive and friendly. The good was delicious. If it was just rating food it would be 5 stars. A selection of canapes were offered and they were fresh and very tasty. The meal was home made veg soup, roast beef dinnee and cheese cake. What stood it was how hot the food was. I have been to places where bulk catering came out warm but this wasn't. The meat was tender, the roasties were the best and veggies were perfect. Even buffet breakfast was a hit, I think it was Cumberland sausage and the mushrooms were cooked in butter. The only downside to the hotel is that the standard rooms were a bit dated and mind smelt a bit fusty.

This is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and really do look after its guests. The rooms are clean, modern and decorated elegantly. Highly reccommend this hotel.

Family stayed over the food and drink was way over priced no proper facilities for disabled. Asked paying guest to keep the noise down as there was a conference on. Not very helpful when asked for help. One lovely Slovenian who was a supervisor didn't stop the whole team we were there.

Nice calm ealing hotel with a lovely restaurant. I have stayed a few times on work trips amd had a great night. Restaurant has a limited menu but what they cook is done really well most mains are around the £15 mark and really filling. Rooms are clearly and nice but it suffers from the old hotel thing which is plugs no where near your bed. Staff are friendly and helpful. there are some great places to grab a drink and sit in the grounds. So all in all a quality night and place to stay at a reasonable price. There isn't too much around it as in bars or pubs etc but you don't need it when you have all that in your hotel.

Stayed in post refurbished rooms — comfortable, well appointed. Staff were really accommodating and polite also. Had an issue with a cot bed we had arranged, which is only reason for 4 and not 5 stars.

The hotel foyer was stunning and very atmospheric. Our room was in the newer part at the back, the cleaning was impeccable however the room desperately needed a refit as it looked very worn in places. The bed was very comfortable and the shower nice and powerful. The staff were all very courteous and helpful, and the breakfast was lovely.

Spent the night there on a Paranormal investigation with Coventry Paranormal. The hotel put on an amazing spread for us and we had a great night. Both the hotel staff and cpi team were very friendly. A really good night.

The staff at the Chase Hotel are very friendly. Also the food was good, the breakfast buffet is also good. The dining room as well as the lobby/area at the bar has an old-venerable, British character that I liked well. The rooms are clean, but very much used. I think a renovation is urgently needed. In particular, doors and locks are not good or partly for the bathroom also not available. If any improvements have been made, they create the impression that they have been carried out in a half-hearted and inadequate way. The description of the rooms refers to my room in the annex.

The entrance looks good, apart from the ugly gray accommodation block to the right. If you look at the windows on the first floor you’ll see mattresses and other items stored against the windows. You enter a wood panelled bar and lounge area which I quite impressive. However things go downhill very quickly. The very tatty reception area is dirty and uninviting. The carpet is filthy. We were allocated room 56, which was in the ugly accommodation block. The room was a disaster. A Formica worktop as a desk. Wallpaper with sellotape marks on it. I moved the nets to open the window, to find the dirty smelly nets, which looked like they hadn’t been washed for years! A bed with a mattress that was old and dead. We were moved to room 75. This was marginally better. How many 3 star hotels have woodchip wall paper still! What a difference in the morning, a breakfast room which was clean and bright. Unfortunately the buffet cooked breakfast was cold. The continental breakfast was good with a good choice of cereals and meats. This is a hotel that is in serious need of upgrading its obvious that there is a lack of pride in the hotel. Would I stay here again NO! You would get a better room at travelodge or similar. I note on responses to criticism the manager never apologised just that he will speak to housekeeping or chef.

Great place. Nice atmosphere. Not expensive. Stayed here 2x now over the past 2 years. Will happily book again for next year too.

The hotel is good, its an historic hotel mostly wooden work. If you live there is all together different experience as it will make you feel like you are living at haunted and vintage hotel.

Wonderful hotel. Felt like stepping back in time to an old manor house in foyer. Raging fire in a very big fireplace. Sweeping staircase. I highly recommend. I popped in to ask to use the loo. I was made to feel like I was a guest not just a cheeky sod. Fabulous staff friendly welcoming and very polite.

Nice hotel. Rooms are decent and comfy. Restaurant is limited choice but really nice, especially the breakfast.

After reading a couple of reviews, I must say I was abit apprehensive, if not scared of spending a couple of weeks at the Chace as I had already been booked in for work. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Yes, the rooms are basic, if you are after the " 5 star" experience; but my room has certainly been kept clean. You also get teas/ coffees and complimentary biscuits. They serve English (so good) and continental breakfast. My only issue with them is the very limited dinner menu which means you have to constantly repeat meals if you are staying there for a longer period of time. Sometimes it can be noisy when they have the occasional wedding but other than that, it's pretty quiet. For a budget hotel, 4 stars it is, till I get more food options!

ZERO STARS! cancelled my room over 1 month ago because of a change if plans. Low and behold they took the money out of my account 2 weeks ago and I'm STILL waiting a refund which I was told was going through 3 times last week via BACS transfer … then after timing was told it can take over 2 weeks to refund. The staff are poorly trained and he management are just as bad. Would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE!

Used the side room for a wake and it was great. Good space which accommodated all of us easily. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Food was provided also which was very nice and there was a good amount provided.

Slept well but my room was in need of updating. No Gluten free cereal on offer but hot breakfast was available. Building has character & enjoyed stay.

A beautiful Victorian setting, with rooms in a more contemporary annexe. The rooms have all the necessary comforts and are on the other side of the road so quiet. The breakfast "English" basic but true to its reputation, moreover the hotel is at 5-10 minutes by car from the city center.

Very comfortable hotel, with an excellent restaurant, friendly staff and well sized rooms. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Rooms are clean, Same English breakfast everyday but good. Long stay you may don't like the breakfast. Good parking, quite and connect to public transportation.

Certainly not your standard, cookie-cutter hotel. Oddly dated in some places, charmingly vintage in others. Mismatching everything. Damp in the bathroom and hard-as-nails bed — one that was so short that my feet hung of the end (I'm 5'9"). Next to no plug sockets available. Nice, friendly staff. Average food sold at slightly more than average prices. All told, not an wholly unpleasant stay, although it lacked a certain sheen to the experience.

Comfortable and staff are excellent however hotel is in need of improvements as some rooms are dated and suffer various minor issues.

It, s a hostal, But well managed Salvation army has taken on a new contract from white freirs Coventry City council. Remarkable achieving what they have done. Absolutely living comfortable at this reservation. 10 out of 10. We'll done.

I had a wonderful stay at The Chace Hotel in 2007.

As a business traveler from the US, this hotel was not set up for my needs. The Chace Hotel is more for Weddings and other functions, which it seems to excel at. Pros: — Rooms were clean — Lobby was well set-up and doubled as a Lounge — Staff working the main desk were courteous and professional Cons: — Breakfast was not included, and the mediocre breakfast spread (including Full English Breakfast) was 12£ — Internet service went down a few times during my week-long stay, and I was not told of the 1GB download limit until the third time I was automatically shut off — No air conditioning in the rooms — No decent restaurants in walking distance, only a Fry Shop (terrible) and a Chinese Takeaway (decent), and the hotel restaurant is overpriced for the food it serves (average entree is 14£) — If you are unfortunate to be staying while a wedding is happening, the lobby/lounge area will be overflowing with wedding guests. This happened two days in a row during my stay. — No alarm clocks are provided with the room, and the wake-up call I requested I did not receive because of an issue with the phone. After the first mishap the clerk on duty would come up to my room to wake me, but one day the internet was not working so they didn't realize I had requested a wake-up?!? — The coffee they serve is obviously instant and TERRIBLE. The tea wasn't much better.
