My wedding reception was at the amazing Holiday Inn Newcastle — Jesmond! I CAN NOT fault these at all! I strongly recommend you have your wedding reception or party at this place! The staff are so friendly and make sure everything goes so smooth, a very special thank you to Lisa Ferrie and Elliot Kelly the communication and organisation was perfect! Lisa you made the process so smooth and your enthusiasm is just what a bride and groom needs for their big day! Elliot you were just constantly on the ball and I really felt you had our back for the little things that typically can go wrong on the day! You both deserve a medal 🫶🏼😂

Car Parking spaces are a bit tight.

Staff very helpful, kind & friendly but understaffed (which may have been covid related? ). Breakfast did NOT have vegetarian sausages on 1st morning. 2nd morning there weren't any either. Staff did bring me 2 once I had finished my brekkie and they were the 'put vegetables together and make it look like a sausage' kinda sausage. Kop out. The dinner menu was actually very nice in contrast. Wifi was good quality. My room was above the main room and there was a disco until 12am which I might aswell have been downstairs in the dance. For £90 a night I expected more. Also, the same week I booked at Premier Inn and they were giving me regular hotel, covid guidelines and check in info which was very helpful whereas holiday Inn gave me none of that. Poor management in my opinion. All in all I wouldn't spend £90 pn to stay again.

Having purchased a Wowcher deal we arrived yesterday and had many issues with the standard of rooms. We found stained chairs, broken furniture, broken mirrors with tape to hold it together, stained carpets, walls with stains on that looked like something had been a spilt and not wiped down. We spent over 2 hours trying to get a room, to be told in the end we either had to accept one of the rooms (none of which were 4* standard) or leave and ask Wowcher for a refund. The manager explained during lockdown the hotel
had not had maintenance work done as they were working on skeleton staff and had a different clientele in during that time. She said the rooms do have issues and that we should expect that. She also insisted one of the rooms had been refurbished which was concerning as this particular room had the badly stained chair, broken desk and chipped chairs and table. We chose a room as going home was not a option. It was the cleanest out of them all but we found it very hot, we could have the windows open because
It was too noisy and the mattress was dreadful, we kept rolling into the middle of it and had a terrible nights sleep. We did get two free drinks which were appreciated and dinner in the restaurant was lovely, however, breakfast wasn’t what we expected, my gluten free toast was burnt one side and not toasted on the other. The scrambled egg was bland and the tea tasteless.

Cant recommend enough! The staff go above and beyond for you, especially kate who had the tough job of organising our wedding during this awful pandemic! Nothing was too much bother and we had the most amazing day all the staff were amazing, felt very safe, and well looked after thank you so much holiday inn jesmond from mr and mrs Dunn xx.

A lovely hotel. Very friendly staff who are taking all precautions to make this a safe place. The food in the restaurant was first class and the waitress with dark hair and glasses was exceptional.

Nice friendly staff. IV stayed here regularly over the past year on business the rooms are always clean. The conference rooms are well laid out and spacious.

Attended a baby shower at the weekend. Staff are lovely, pretty building with nice decor, food nice. Overall a good day had by all.

The staff are very helpful, and have gone the extra mile to accommodate my wife’s request for vegan options, right down to vegan chocolate in the room and wonderful tasty breakfast options. The room is spacious, quiet and has a very comfortable bed. The breakfast selection is excellent, in fact it’s one of the best I have encountered. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but we did have room service, and the foods was hot, tasty and perfect in every way. Overall very satisfied but it’s a shame some selfish guests have been abusing the disabled parking bays. Clearly not the fault of the hotel staff.

Central and close to the station. Lovely room, well stocked. Helpful staff.

Had a few issues with my points card and it was sorted out for me by reception. Room perfect, bathroom nice which is always a bonus! Loved the juice, chocolate and water in a fridge! Will stay again!

I stay here almost weekly for work (have done for over 6 years) great place to stay, staff are nice although I prefered the previous bunch but for no reason other than I knew them better. Good rooms, great food!

Nice hotel, nice spacious rooms, modern fittings, clean. But rather avoid this place if planning to have some fun. Understaffed, strange slo-motion services. Reception usually unattended; same as the bar. Feeling like being in haunted house. But being introvert, nihilist or fasting orthodox monk then this is your place to stay over the night.

Nice hotel with on-site parking. Staff were polite and friendly when checking in. The rooms are quite large and bright and they are air conditioned. The rooms also come with everything you should need including hairdryer, iron, kettle, toiletries and even bottled water. There are a couple of onsite restaurants, one of them is Italian the other is a bar & grill.

Thank you so much to everyone who made mine and benns wedding the best day of our lives. From start to finish it was the most perfect day. The food was amazing especially the soup which a lot of people commented on. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have their wedding here it was amazing.

Nice business hotel with friendly staff and good facilities. I had room 102 which was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant was good for dinner in the evening service a little slow but very pleasant. The breakfast was very good for the price I was paying. Definitely one I'd go back to and well located near the Jesmond Metro stop.

Really nice room. Great room service breakfast but very poor service in the bar area. 20 minutes wait to order a drink and food. The bar was quiet and there was plenty of staff. When the food arrived it was sent to the wrong table. It would put me off staying here again.

Me and my new husband had our wedding here on sat 16th June 18 and the staff went above and beyond to make sure it was an amazing day and night always on hand especially when my 8 year old had been sick on the floor and my dress nothing was a bother for them the service the food everything was perfect and our stay was amazing too and the staff even rememberered us when we weren't in our wedding atire and even came over and spoke with us thankyou from the bottom of our hearts Claire and Wayne (bride & groom) xxxxxxx.

Great hotel with friendly staff. Food is excellent in the bar restaurant and cafe. Rooms are huge and the gym is decent. Great location for town, airport links and motorway. I always stay here.

A very nice hotel full of friendly helpful staff. The restaurant was superb for both breakfast and dinner. Onsite parking was good, although from a personal point of view it would have been good to have more disabled parking bays and access to the hotel from the upper level parking.

Its hard to give a negative review hen everyone there is all smiles and the food is great. Arrived quite late one evening and was greeted by. Very pleasant representative, he sorted out my key cards and explained the breakfast ritual. The room was nice, lots of space and a massive bed. Very large indeed! Also very comfortable. The AC worked very all. Keeping a steady 23 degrees for my entire stay. The shower/bathroom was clean and bright. A vanity mirror with built in lights really helped with this. Breakfast was a standard buffet serving, where you just ate until you were full. There were also a lot options, both hot and cold. The onsite restaurant Zip has some great food options for dinner. I had the halloumi and misroim Burger. I was happy to fund it overflowing with condiments and unlimited sauces upon request. All in all a great stay, good food and a comfy bed. What more do you need?

Nice location and easy access to main routes. Room is nice and shower is decent. All the pillows are rock hard despite being soft ones so didn't sleep very well. Breakfast is tasty.

Nice professional place for a training event. Food and services were good, cables etc provided to help power laptops. Did have a lot of noise from hallways getting into the meeting rooms, and coffee is really expensive at the bar but otherwise was all good!

A business hotel — on a busy street in the district of Jesmond. Ask for a quiet room when booking. The rooms are modern, the bathroom is clean and the airconditioning works reliably.
Breakfast is British and tasty. There is a private car park.
Happy to return…

Nice room and good breakfast at an affordable price. Near Jesmond Metro so travel in/out from centre easy.

Food good here but sadly the rooms and Service let the place down. Firstly the room took ages to heat up, the bathroom had areas of black mold. They managed to mess up booking and said breakfast not included and made to pay again. Checked back 3 days later said that was mistake. On check out could not refund amount as no manager available. They was meant to email bill but forgot and had to phone to remind them.

Room was changed without question to preferred part of the hotel. Downside was room very very warm, air con wasn't very responsive. Internet works fine, fridge restocked every day.

Excellent hotel, very modern and clean. Staff were very helpful during our stay. On-site car parking and Wi-Fi of which are both free which is excellent for a city hotel.

I stay here regularly. The team are friendly, the rooms are a little small but comfortable and spotlessly clean, with big fluffy towels and modern bathrooms. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast, and operates as a Italian restaurant in the evening — although you can order bar meals in front of the football that's normally on in the bar if you prefer. The hotel is small enough to have character in a nice part on Newcastle. It has its own car park, but it is only a few minutes walk from the metro too. My favourite touch is the complementary kit kat I get in the mini bar everytime I stay!

Located in the famous neighborhood. It has a bar, restaurant and parking. Close to the city centre. Standard price, not bad to be close to the downtown area. The hotel has all the facilities. There is a restaurant inside the same hotel called Fratteli.

Good choice on the edge of town, an easy walk into the city and to St James's Park. Choice of Italian restaurant or bar with pub meals and sports channels. On main road, but no traffic sounds, just odd plumbing noises. Free guest parking.

Near underground, next to highway; room small but bathroom very big; noisy floor — — > guests running in corridors seems like a bunch of elephants. Squeaky floor in bedroom. Reception was quick but a little unfriendly because busy. No complaints. High price for quality. Has Starbucks inside.

Weekend away. Great location, within a stone's throw of Jesmond Metro station. Lovely rooms, great bar. Highly recommended.

Great location just one stop on the Metro to Haymarket, booked an executive room which was very comfortable and spacious, had a bit of a problem sorting out the air conditioning but managed eventually. Lovely decor and facilities in the hotel. Parking available FOC. Lovely staff, room was exceptionally clean
I would recommend heat pads behind the bathroom mirrors to stop them from steaming up and also need to upgrade their hairdryers as they were rubbish.

I've stayed here a few times and it's always good. Nice comfortable, quiet room with everything you need. Staff are always pleasant, friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I'm in the area.

Quite a tired hotel, double rooms are very small. Main restaurant quite mediocre for dinner, breakfast selection is quite small. Service is good.

Absolutely brilliant overnight stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the on site amenities were great, overall a great stay following a day at Newcastle Hospital!

Stayed for the Great North Run, was expensive but close to the start and clean tidy and no problem parking too.

Great staff. The environment is clean. It is near Jesmond metro station. Rooms are spacious and the service is ok. I have no complaints.

Stayed at hotel due to closeness to Newcastle Medical School. Modern rooms and excellent restaurant with on site car parking. Car needed to get into town though (e. G. To Edon Square shopping experience). Recommended as stop over for university or med school visit.

Well another fabulous stay at the Holiday Inn Jesmond. Been here loads of times and enjoyed the friendly welcome and helpful staff. Rooms are always lovely. We will be back.

Well located for my needs and also for easy access to Newcastle. Lovely room at the rear of the hotel, not much of a view but I was not there for sight seeing, it was important to get a quiet room as I am a light sleeper. It was a very quiet room indeed. Very clean and spacious room. The staff are lovely and very accommodating, everyone had a lovely cheerful smile and made me feel welcome. The food was great, no issues here and that's coming from a very fussy eater. Ask in all a lovely 2 night stay and I will definitely return when I am working in the area again.

Carolina kitt Claire and Caroline and Co were amazing and helped make the day better then we dreamt! We have had constant amazing feedback from our guests about how great the food was and how great the venue was! Thank you so much! To any brides to be I could not recommend the holiday inn higher! Excellent rooms, fortunate enough to have the apartments booked which are faultless and the staff are brilliant, had my evening meals at the hotel and every member of staff has been brilliant. Brilliant food as well can't fault the service and quality of the hotels.

Recently refurbished I suspect, rooms are very nice. The restaurant is good value and has good service. Not normally a fan of holiday inns, but this one is pretty good and would get my business again.
