Brilliant time last night 9 of us attended, food was very well presented and tasty, staff were very accommodating and polite, the band well they were amazing really added to the Atmosphere over dinner lots of songs to dance and sing along to. We will definitely be back 10/10

We had just got married at Sturmer Hall and I cannot stop smiling! It was an absolute picture perfect day. Our friends and family have all said what a stunning wedding venue, beautiful food and what a party! We cannot thank Daniel and his team enough for their hospitality and their kindness throughout the whole wedding planning experience. Always there waiting hand on foot and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you to Rob, Georgia, Megan and our chefs for working so well together to make our dreams come true. And extra special mention to the sisters in the kitchen who tended to my mums extremely fussy food requirements and ensuring that our gluten free members of the family had just as tasty meal as everyone else. When they say it’s a truly unique wedding venue, they aren’t wrong! If you are thinking of getting married here, I highly recommend it. You won’t get the experience like we did anywhere else. Thank you all again, we will be bringing our friends and family back to party on New Years Eve xxxxx.

We had a shocking night on one of Sturmer Halls Christmas party nights it was absolutely horrendous!
Staff didn’t even know how to serve drinks, handing over bottles of champagne still in their box, they didn’t even offer to open or give an ice bucket for it to stand in.
Food service was just as shocking.
A band that clearly just played songs they liked, nothing to get people up dancing.
Even more shocking 2 emails of complaints and NO response.
Don’t waste your money on this shocking place!
They are clearly there to rake in the money and don’t care how they do it and whether you enjoy it or not!

The hotel was very modern, warm and spacious. The food was fantastic and the staff are second to none. Absolutely brilliant atmosphere and very friendly.

Photographing a wedding earlier this month I was struck by the friendliness of the staff and their attention to detail for the couple and their guests. A beautiful venue.

One of the best hotels I have ever been too.

Lovely place, shame about the owner very rude told me and my wife to leave or will be thrown out by security, all because we had no water to shower and to flash toilet, in heat of summer temperature in the main hotel can reach 30.

Summary: My family booked the whole hotel on-site for a wedding on-site… please stay at the Travelodge down the road! Pros: — Venue is beautiful — with just a few minor touch ups…
— Staff (minus Daniel — the manager) are fantastic. When dealing with issues speak fo Emma and Sarah as they are the most attentive and sympathetic. (He had a go at me because I specially mentioned them and not each individual staff member! ) Cons: — No hot water, then no cold water, then no water
— Towels were not changed after the first night
— Aircon was broken in all rooms (including bridal suite)
— Downstairs toilet was ‘Out of Order’ without explanation
— Cobwebs in the room
— Manager (Daniel) denies all responsibility and only accepts praise. He overpromises and then under delivers
— Toilet didn’t flush! Minor points — Towels are not luxury, full size towels — just standard ones (minor point)
— No bin in rooms NB: I had the standard room. It had a double bed, complimentary food, desk and wardrobe — no bedside cabinet, no bin, no air con, no toilet/shower.

Lovely venue but some of the staff are rude and make you feel uncomfortable.

Made a booking 6 weeks ago for 2 rooms for my parent's birthday in July. Received a call today to say they are cancelling my booking as they are now closing the hotel for some renovations. Very poor forward planning and management. Am now struggling to find a hotel for that weekend as it is the Moet & Chandon festival so most places are already fully booked.

Sturmer hall, a picture of bucolic farm English in rural areas. Excellent welcome. Picturesque place. Unobstructed view. Restaurant delicious. I recommend.

My husband and I got married at Sturmer Hall in 2014 and it was absolutely magical. I could not recommend this venue enough to anyone looking for a wedding location in the Cambridge area. The organisation was incredible, the food was amazing (our families still talk about how wonderful it was! ), the rooms were so luxurious and our day was absolutely perfect! Some of our wedding guests stayed at the hotel with us so on the morning after our wedding we were able to all have breakfast together and talk about how much we all enjoyed the day before. It was amazing.

Beautifully set in a lovely location. Food absolutely lovely — drinks a little pricey but to be expected.

Attended a Christmas do here. Lovely place in a great part of the world. Good food and actually had decent Ale's!

Avoid the Owner at all costs. I will never stay there again. He was rude and arrogant and interrupted a private conversation. This is not a cheap hotel in terms of price but cheap in intellect from the owner. He tried to over charge me!

Music and atmosphere was good.

Excellent and clean rooms. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast and very happy to accommodate dietary requirements. We were really grateful for last minute flexibility on check out time due to enjoying ourselves a little too much at an event in the evening the night before.

Event hall was nice. The location is beautiful, water features surrounded by flowing meadows. Parking spaces seem quite limited.

The owner is a horrible man who takes money then kicks you out when he has had enough. Example wedding with chocolate fountain got asked to clear away but party hadn't finished so threw fountain on floor in temper. Do not use this place.

Great venue for a wedding. A lovely intimate service in the Hall, followed by a fantastic reception in the conference centre marquee. Food was delicious — only sorry we couldn't eat it all!

We got married at Sturmer Hall on Wednesday in the Music Room and the place looked fantastic, we had a really nice small ceremony like we wanted, the staff was great in making sure everyone had plenty of food and drinks and the kids loved playing football outside. Great venue.

Been to several social events here and have always had a great time. Staff are friendly & welcoming, and food well prepared.
