Great Sunday lunch out with the family.

Wouldn't serve a guy with face tattoos for the fact that they have had issues in the past with people who had face tattoos. You wouldn't do this to someone just because other people with the same skin colour or same religion or same gender caused problems before. Down right disgusting and the company should be shamed of themselves.

Hi… We enjoy the pub for it's live band entertainment… Always a fun place to be… Just wondering if the management would consider more live music here…

Lovely Sunday carvery again well done Keith and waiting staff.

We stayed here as we had a gig at Newmarket. The staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble.

Used to be great but now not so much. Bands were on every week and it rocked but now once a month or so. Very infrequently visit now. My friends now don't visit at ALL.

Well on behalf of Myself and Husband, we couldn’t highly recommend this place for hiring out for Wedding Meal and Reception. Food was blooming lovely for the sit down meal and buffet. Friendly staff and was well looked after. Hired a Disco which was also very good indeed. Made our wedding day special even more to feel relaxed on the day.

Good selection of meat's and vegetables, all cooked well, beef was especially good this week. Chef Nick was very helpful. Thanks.

Not been in a while so not sure what to expect but great selection of 3 meats and all the trimmings. Dessert too would recommend and be back soon.

Staff are friendly. We had a buffet which was really nice.

Visited the rose and crown. There was 10 of us and they where holding a charity event although we had a great night there was not enough staff on to deal with the amount of people that where there which ment you had to wait 10 minutes to get your drinks.

Friendly place to stay, I was visiting Haverhill visiting family and they made me feel very welcome.

Lovely welcoming staff and fantastic food.

Live band, beergut100 provided a great evening and the pub/hotel it self is really nice.

Very nice old pub, but I was expecting a proper meat selection like you have at a carvery.

In dire need of a good overhaul … Stuck in the 80's and don't think it's been cleaned properly since then. Owner is very intimidating and argumentative.
I booked B&B but owner wanted to charge me extra for breakfast — hence argumentative.
Worst place I've stayed ever!

Friendly atmosphere at standard pub prices (cheap food, though, but I didn't try any so can't comment! )

Run down pub with rooms, poor service, cheapish rooms but the Travelodge is a better bet.

The Rose & Crown has ample parking and easy access. Went for a birthday celebration and had the carvery. The restaurant is layer out very nice leaving plenty of space between tables. They have a great choice of meats which are cooked to perfection. A great range of vegetables to accompany the meat and once again cooked very well. There is also a great range of sauces, horseradish and mint sauce etc. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful making you feel nothing us to much trouble. They offer a small range if puddings and must say that their coconut ice cream is superb. The meals are great value for money and would recommend the Rose & Crown to anyone.

Fantastic little bed and breakfast. The price is reasonable. It included a full English breakfast which was fantastic after my wife and I spent a week in London where we'd have to pay 12 pounds to get what we had for free. Was close enough to walk to everything which also helped with our stay.

We used the restaurant area for a function. The food was good and plentiful. The staff were excellent and the venue itself was ideal.

Room cold smelt if damp door frame hanging off bedside lamp didn't work mirror rusty glass holder rusty. When we arrived I reminded them I was a coeliac the receptionist /waiter /barman told me we don't do that you will gave to get your bread and I will to at it. The restaurant was open on the Friday night so had to either go out or get take way

Bar Staff are pleasant, a warm atmosphere that is relaxed and easygoing. Pool table is in good condition and jukebox makes for a good place to go following watching a football match, doing a pub quiz, or to just have a relaxed drink in a pub that isn't heaving.

Nice little venue, good for local bands, alcohol well priced.

As a family of 7 we went to the Sunday carvery and was very impressed indeed. Very attentive and friendly staff, a choice of 4 meats and 8 or 9 veg deserts to die for and all well cooked and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be going back.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, very polite and helpful. Our room was nice and clean. We had Wi-Fi in the room too. In the morning we had a very nice breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Very Noisy Poor quality rooms No breakfast despite paying for it, I dont think they even knew I was there!
