Only visited for a drink on a scorching weekday afternoon. Firendly, decent atmos, lovely old photos on the walls of the village and I guess the owner likes his sailing. Decent selection of run of the mill beers. Well worth a visit.

Good pub with a wide selection of drinks and food, annual beer festival in May which is well attended.

Great service, wonderful food and rooms.

Good food but must be ordered from the bar. Really awkward if sitting outside especially as they send you "round the houses" to get in. The garden area us very nice but if I go again I will sit inside.

I was so impressed with this Hotel, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and really go out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are spacious and spotless and comfortable. I slept so well! It made such a lovely change to stay in a hotel that is delightful. I would definitely stay there again.

My family and I were out visiting the area on this cold day and a hot meal seemed a great idea. The resteraunt was neat and tidy and the menuewas plentyful. Oh yes, the beer was quite good too. After a hearty meal with desert we left the Crown ready to explore the town befor our trip home. An excellent place, great staff and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Crown.

Sat in this pub at this very second writing this with a strong stench of urine wafting up from the toilets and the boss talking to people like something he stepped in. Pub down the road is much better and friendlier.

Stayed one night here as was attending a wedding in Long Melford. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a little old but clean and the shower was more than adequate. The bar was good. Breakfast not the best but adequate (full English, smoked salmon or continental) Overall I'd say the hotel is a lovely little village hotel.
