Four of us went for afternoon tea today, the food was delicious and l particularly loved the sausage rolls, made l was told by the chef Richard. The lady who served us was helpful, friendly and polite, thank you.

What a lovely place and the staff are great Gillian Lynne and John all very friendly and great service. Would definitely visit again.

Not a great afternoon tea. The atmosphere was really strange. Hardly see any waitresses. We asked for more clotted cream which come out and was like whipped sloppy cream which had a funny taste.
wouldn't book again unfortunately.

Love it here in brome suit is fab with the jacuzzi in it. We came in September and the room was cold and the lights in the jacuzzi were flickering really badly but this time they have been fixed and the room is lovely, warm and clean.
the meal we had was lovely and so filling.

Shocking partner showed up tonight as he’s working away and no beds was changed they was a mess and the room was unclean and the previous person who stayed left a half cup of tea on the desk!

Food wasn’t nice very salty, found a few hairs in my food too and it’s very expensive.

I've been staying here for the best part of 3 months great people very nice food very nice staff couldn't wish for more away from home.

I treated my Mum to a delicious cream tea here for her birthday. We had an amazing selection of sandwiches, cakes, sausage rolls and scones all for excellent value for money. Very impressed and will definitely return soon.

My son and I had the most amazing afternoon tea on Tuesday. A real treat. Brandon was very attentive and looked after us. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. Can’t wait to book another one.

Slowest service I have ever seen, an hour from sitting down to getting the starter to the table, having to find staff in a quiet restaurant to actually take our order. Chicken missed on a dish and one dish missed altogether. Took over 2 hours from sitting down to actually getting our desserts on the table. Not once in the whole time did a member of staff ask if we required any extra drinks.

Had an amazing stay here, me and my partner spent three nights here. Staff was welcoming and very helpful, the food here is amazing and had great waiters and waitress. Nothing it is too much for the staff here and always making sure everything is okay. Amazing service at the valentines meal as well will definitely come back in the future.

We popped in for the Sparkling afternoon tea. Delicious! And very helpful and attentive staff.

I went here with my mum after winning the mother's Day spa day competition and had a wonderful time. The man who ran the spa made us feel so welcome and was very professional and friendly whilst doing my facial.

Had a lovely spa day with my daughter staff are lovely especially the lovely man who did the massage made to feel really welcome lovely atmosphere and had a lovely afternoon tea we would definitely go again.

We had a fantastic afternoon tea here for a large group. Charli and the team couldn’t do enough for us and made the experience a day to remember. We had vegans in the group who were excellently catered for.

I highly recommend using the spa it was fab sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and the gym if you are feeling energetic

We would like to thank all of the staff for making our wedding here absolutely perfect! Special thanks to Emma for all her help leading up the the wedding and ensuring everything was organised and Julie for stepping in pretty last minute on the day to make sure everything run smoothly. Julie was fantastic at making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time (even when it was our fault the photos over ran, whoops) Also their was a guy who was there all weekend who was extremely helpful and always working hard to make sure everything was ok for us (worked the bar during the evening reception but cannot remember his name sorry) They all really made it their mission to ensure the day was perfect! And it was! We are so happy that we found Brome Grange and booked it for our wedding. All the guests loved it too. I just wish we could do it all over again! And if we could I would not change a thing.

Attended a wedding here and most of the staff were lovely and attentive. Rooms are basic but clean. Food was amazing.

Big family room, great mattress on the main bed. Nice food, wonderful waitress (Sabrina) at dinner and the rest of the staff were very friendly. Can't give it more than 3 stars down to the very dated furniture and decor — sorry!

Lovely overnight stay, had a courtyard room which was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
Evening dinner in restaurant was very good £13 — 16 for most mains, haddock and the gammon meals were very nice. Breakfast was fantastic, help yourself buffet with a very good choice off hot and cold and very good selection of fresh fruit juices.
Joined the Best Western loyalty scheme, a double room bed and breakfast for £56 was excellent value, would be happy to return.

Evening meal was varied. Soup was cold so it was sent back and replaced with hot soup. Chicken main meal tasty but needed more sauce a bit dry. Also next night slow roast pork very tasty but lacking sauce again and curry was lacking sauce. Chef be generous with the sauces!. Self service breakfast shambles fried eggs left to long under heat also mushrooms tasteless.

Very pleasant hotel, nice large rooms. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was great, tasty food, including fresh, well cooked cod. Large bar area for informal meals too. It has a small spa, which is free, we didn't use it but it looked nice. Breakfast was good, with freshly cooked hot options and nice selection of juices.

My only critism was of the 'included' 3 course meal. It turns out you get £24 each towards said meal. Unfortunately that not enough to actually buy 3 of the courses! However the food was really nice and the portions were very generous. The hotel room was nice and clean.

Only have good things to say. Complimentary room upgrade on arrival. Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Bed was really comfy, ironing board and iron in our room. Biggest most pleasant surprise was quality of dinner in restaurant; Really very good!

Went for three night getaway. The food served in the restaurant is excellent quality. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Bad points the car park is in dire need of repair, not enough staff when busy so you can be kept waiting. But overall the stay was great and the position ideal for travelling around. This was our second visit and it won't be our last.

I would highly recommend this place. We are just back from a hen weekend and had an amazing time. Staff are very friendly nothing is to much and they are happy to help all the time and the spa is relaxing treatment are fantastic. The food is to die for and all very high quality. Thank you for making my hen weekend so lovely.

Very pleasant stay at Brome Grange. In particular found the reception staff very friendly & helpful.

Had a lovely afternoon and evening with my mum. It was meant to be a spa break but severe weather conditions meant spa staff could not get in. Helpful staff rescheduled spa treatments to next weekend but we decided to continue our stay with a delicious evening meal, a relaxing stay in a very well adapted disabled room for my mum, and a wonderful breakfast the following morning. Looking forward to returning next week for our spa treatments.

A great find when working a long way from home! Lovely old fashioned bedroom with modern best western twists. Furniture and walls in need of a bit of touching up but the bed was the comfiest have ever slept in when away and spotlessly clean. Dinner and breakfast outstanding.

Having had some bad experiences previously with Best Western Hotels, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely accommodating, the food and facilities were great and our room gave us everything we expected. Highly recommended.

Great Fitness Center, friendly staff, decent food, secure parking, convenient location off a main road. Excellent value for money.

Overnight stay with wife to break journey. Comfortable and clean, staff were friendly. Food was OK and reasonably priced but nothing special.

Nice quiet location, friendly staff and service was excellent. The rooms could do with a face-lift but all in all a great place to stay.

Very nice hotel, very cheap when compared with others like premier inn, Flat screen included in room. Very nice restaurant too, nicest steak I've had in a while.

Utter rubbish. Would never stay again. Greeted by a toilet pan in the carpark. Should have turned straight round and got the hell out. Worst stay I have ever had. After complaining was offered another night free of charge. Ha ha. Best western you should be ashamed to put your name to the place. More like out of a western.

Nice hotel, clean and tidy, but the food wasn't that great, roast dinner, the beef was like leather and probably pre processed, not roasted on site.

The Brome Grange is a pleasant hotel set in the quiet Norfolk countryside, it has been improved over the years and now has a gym and offers spa treatments. I bought a romance package as a present for my partner, this included two course dinner for two for one night and buffet style breakfast both mornings, two spa treatments, which I invited my partner's daughter to enjoy with her mum while later on the rest of the family joined us for high tea (not included in the package). The service at times was inconsistent with one receptionist being better informed than another, and service perhaps a little slow, but hey we were there to relax so it wasn't a big issue, we knew they were busy with some awful guests. Overall we found the Brome Grange, warm, friendly and great value for money, we will go back again.

We recently attended a Dinner and dance function held in the Tithe barn enjoyed an excellent evening food served was hot and tasty portion size good and service quick and friendly were made to feel welcome overall experience good.

Brilliant room. Was a real bonus accepting pets so we could bring our dog with us. All staff really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Great value. Good location. Will definately be back.

Lovely hotel if you want to hear thumping drum and bass through the walls all night.

Service was great however the room I was given did not seem up to the level of the rest of the hotel. With my room facing the main road and a noisey radiator made it difficult get to sleep. Only stayed for 2 nights for business but would not like to use that room again. Other rooms here seemed much nicer.

Had a lovely lunch there today. The bar was vintage in a very smart and modern looking venue, the staff were friendly and the food was lovely.

We ordered and paid for a superior room on arrival were allocated room 40. This room was very small with an outward opening door, must have been a small double. We wondered if this was a superior room whatever was a standard room like. I turned the radiator and towel warmer upto maximum and hour later still stone cold and freezing. Went to reception and they said they would boost it from down there! Almost another hour passes and still no heat room freezing went to reception and said if we couldn't be moved we would have to leave, reception very good and transferred us to room 33. Well this was obviously a superior room, large bed fantastic shower and was what we had paid for.
So now for the plus points staff and quality of food were fantastic these points are what makes this hotel.
Would have been 5 stars if not for the very shaky start. Would return again provided room 40 is off the agenda.

Stayed over night in an executive room. These are very well appointed. Fairly quiet in both the bar and restaurant. Breakfast was busier though. Very quiet room even though the hotels is right on the A140. Good location to service either Ipswich or Norwich. I would stay here again and I have stayed here before.

Stopped overnight for my cousin's wedding anniversary party. Welcoming staff, comfortable room with plenty of space. Parking right outside the rooms saved humping cases around. Would certainly book again.

We got a deal with Travelzoo which, in fairness, was an extremely good price. However, the rooms were very tired and the food was at best mediocre (my seared prawns starter was actually just anaemic looking little freezer prawns boiled in butter chucked on a piece of baguette) Food service was terrible even though we were the only table left in the restaurant. Their website Menu wasn't up to date so my partner was really disappointed with the new options although they did let us order a steak off of the Bar Menu. Good for a bargain I guess, but don't be taking your other half for an Anniversary or special occassion because it wont measure up. Abbey on reception was polite and professional.

We chose this hotel based on fairly positive reviews from this and other websites. We stayed for three nights arriving on a friday night. Our first impressions of the hotel were positive, staff very friendly, we were shown around all of the hotels facilities by the lady who checked us in. Our room was in a courtyard which gave me the impression at one time it used to be a motel. The room was a good size but just seemed a little on the tatty side especially the bathroom, and my bed was very soft and lumpy which me some mild backache by the end of our stay. During our stay the steam room was unavailable due to a breakdown, but the spa and foot spa were ok. On the second night of our stay, a birthday party in the function which was in a separate building in the courtyard, was very noisy with loud music and small children being allowed to run around the buildings making noise in the process. We were not notified about the functioned, if we had we would have stayed out and not returned to our room so early. On the third night of our stay we decided to eat in the bar are. The choice of draught beer was limited with only 4 of 9 available, we were told that they were changing supplier which is why some were off. We ordered food but was told that because they were busy there might be a delay of up to 45 minutes before being served with our food. It turned out to be an 80 minute delay and was offered a free drink as compensation.

For our 35th wedding anniversary we wanted to book somewhere local as February can sometimes be problematic travelling far because of snow so we chose Brome Grange, only ten minutes down the road. We had used the hotel several times before over the years for various occasions but wanted to support the new owners and we were not disappointed! I booked dinner, bed and breakfast over the phone a few weeks prior to our arrival date and was offered a special rate of £85. We arrived just before 6.00 pm and in the olde worlde reception area there was a very welcoming open log fire which some guests were warming themselves beside. We were shown to our room in the courtyard by a very friendly young lady who even offered to carry our luggage for us but of course we declined. We were very pleased with our spacious room which felt warm and homely and the bathroom was very satisfactory too. We had a cuppa before we walked over to the hotel for a pre dinner drink in the quaint bar area. We selected our food from the extensive menu and we were then called through to the authentic dinning room. The food was absolutely fautless; served by yet another friendly young lady. We were offered a complimentary drink at the end of the meal as the staff thought we had a long wait between courses which for us wasn't a problem as we hadn't a bus to catch and it was nice to have time to chat on a rare occasion of us having a meal out together!

I used a Groupon voucher to try out the Brome grange, and was pleasantly surprised by both the location (tastefully decorated and with a lot of character) and the staff, who could not have been more helpful and welcoming. They even helped blow up all our balloons. We held a birthday party there, but I would definitely consider this for something bigger like a wedding reception. Minus point was that there was no baby changing that I found.
