Our wedding was held here in September 2022, I cannot recommend them enough. From the moment we booked to the end of our wedding day the staff were so attentive and helpful, our wedding couldn’t of been more perfect if we tried. The grounds are beautiful, the food was fantastic, the whole day went perfectly. Huge thank you to all the events team and staff.

Visited this spa recently. The surro u brings are beautiful. But on arrival we were served a red mocktail it was dreadful. The spa facilities were lovely. The food was dreadful. The calamari was terrible, the batter was thick n I thought it was not fresh. I complained n we were given a dessert. Which was OK. The triple cooked chips, turned out to be oven chips which were barely cooked. It was so disappointing. I think the food is brought in and then heated up. I understand this Is not a restaurant but I expected food on par with Miller n Carter. It wasn't I was disappointed. Let's not forget this spa is not cheap. I would return to this spa but wouldn't dine. So disappointing.

I made my visit to Moddershall having been gifted a voucher for £100 towards by family for my birthday. My family had spent time looking for the best experience for me to have a pamper, Moddershall claim their Spa Retreats as one of the best, based on my experience I would have to disagree. From the outset of dealing with Moddershall I was given conflicting information. I enquired a month in advance of the voucher expiry and was informed that I could book any available date as long as the voucher was redeemed in advance of the expiry date. However, I was told the exact opposite when I called a few weeks later and that if I didn’t use the voucher and book the treatment before expiry the voucher would be worthless. Of course, this was a shock and even though I explained what I had been told a few weeks beforehand the lady was adamant that I had been misinformed! No compromise was suggested and I was forced to book something on the day the voucher expired. When trying to do this I was given a very limited availability of time slots i. E. After 5.30pm, which proves difficult when it’s a 2 hour drive to the venue in the first place! I was also misled by the staff when I was told the treatments were fully booked. My friend, who decided to join me for an overnight stay enquired about a package, miraculously they were able to accommodate 8 treatments, in what was a fully booked system when I tried to book with my voucher!

Had a fantastic day today treated for my birthday. The staff are excellent. A real find hidden away in a lovely setting. My hot stones massage was so relaxing. Wonderful lunch, again overlooking a very beautiful view. Couldn't fault anything… Will be back.

I’ve been to the Spa many times. But last night the staff were amazing! From the lovely lady who greeted us at the desk and spoke to us every time we walked passed. Too the fab lady who served us drinks around the pool side! I just wanted to say thank you ladies, your service and friendliness made our night so special❤️

Lovely surroundings — would recommend the spa day here — massage was wonderful and lunch was too! Cocktails in the outside heated pool — with waitress service — had a wonderful day for My lovely daughters 30th! 💗💗🎂🎉🎈

Great spa day experience… massage with kate was amazing… staff were friendly an attentive…. Just a little thing really… outside beds need to be checked an wiped down as there was bird poop on them! other than that the day was fab.

I had a surprise trip booked by my family to celebrate my 30th birthday and I had such a lovely time. A quaint spa, really relaxing and good facilities. Staff were all so friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The massage was a dream. Highly recommend, would definitely go again.

Lovely place, I just wish that it was better maintained. We went today, one of the spa taps wasn't working, one of the foot spas wasn't working, the lockers are not very reliable and there was no toilet paper in the spa shower room. It's a lot of money for it not to be right. However, the staff are lovely and the food was delicious.

Myself and my wife stayed overnight The rooms and the staff are fantastic always there to help The facilities are amazing and again the staff are there to help Bar and restaurant is at the highest level Treatment rooms are fantastic All round a superb and an amazing place It’s a must visit venue.

We had a lovely family meal at The Oak House restaurant. The staff that served us during the meal were Amdad and Charlotte, they were very attentive throughout the meal, checking that we had all we need to ensure a lovely experience. The food was delicious, I can highly recommend the Sweet potato curry and cheesecake. After the meal we headed up to The Balcony Bar where Matt was the head bar man, providing an excellent service. The atmosphere was lovely and catered for us all, including my 87 year old nan who loved it. I can’t wait to come again in the day to experience the views from the balcony.

I had a spa day here today & just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. From start to finish, everything was lovely, the girls on the reception desk were super friendly, the spa area was lovely & not overcrowded which was nice & it meant I got to use try all of the spa facilities, even the outside pool which was so nice. My Hot Stone Massage with Gemma was amazing, I felt completely relaxed. I enjoyed my lunch in the Oak-room restaurant afterwards. I actually stayed longer than I had planned as the whole experience was just really nice, & didn’t feel rushed. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you haven’t already been, treat yourself. You won’t be disappointed 😊

We really loved the spa especially the infinity pool and the treatments were very relaxing, however, the food was lovely but arrived warm and not hot.

These people had £2300 off us in 2019 for a wedding in May this year
It has been known for some time that they could not supply the wedding as described
But have refused to give us our deposit back
Instead have strung it out for weeks and want to give us £1400 back after they have deducted what they call reasonable costs
We walked round the place once and had some literature
They have deducted a substantial amount just for the emails we have received from them asking for our money back!
They have still got all our money and despite not being able to do the wedding as described
Which is early May
They want to deduct that outlandish amount and not give us anything till June
I wish I had never set eyes on the place.

Everything in moddershall was amazing! From the gorgeous food to excellent customer service, to the most relaxing time I’ve ever had. Would 100% recommend.

This place is the best spa/retreat I have been to and I have been to quite a few. There are only 10 ish rooms so you really feel special when you go on the overnight spa package. A highlight was the outdoor jacuzzi with bar service. Our room were spotlessly clean and modern with a minibar. You pay more than say a Q hotel package but for the extra customer service and standards, it's worth every penny.

Best place in England to kick back forget all your troubles and be spoilt rotten. Fantastic food, excellent facilities and impeccable service. Highly recommended.

We are regulars here. Our favourite spa. Just cannot fault it at all. Never serms crowded. Staff are amazing. Love the new mud room and dleep lounge. Woild strongly recomend stsying over. Some great last minute savings. Well worth the money so much more plush and relaxing than other spas nearby.

Recent visit sadly we wont be returning. Such a shame as we never leave bad reviews. Lunch sadly wasn't great brisket full of fat, crumbs on table, no salt and pepper etc etc.
Relaxation room was sadly full of people on laptops having meetings all day, the reason we come to get away from work.
Treatments were amazing though and also reception and deli staff cannot fault.
I was not the only person unhappy about our visit that day, hopefully they will act on the issues people were raising?

It was lovely relax spa, we stayed there overnight and use our private spa tub. Lovely view country side lucky weather are good no raining. Staff are friendly helpful.

Me and my two daughters had such a warm welcome yesterday your staff couldn’t have done more polite lovely had a laugh drinks were offered all day long we have never ever been before but I can honestly say they were lovely I had a facial followed by all over body massage they were amazing such a gorgeous place hope to return another time.

Went here for my brother's wedding. The venue is great and the staff who run are just excellent, they couldn't do enough for you. The food is also top class, and it's so secluded, you'd never have to worry about being bothered. Would definitely recommend Moddershall Oaks to anybody in the area or even further a field, like myself.

Recently visited for a family wedding, the service we received was very good from start to finish. This is a professional service specifically designed for wedding events, with beautiful scenery surrounding great house facilities. There are also rooms available which are also presented and serviced to a high standard.

Fantastic as always. We normally visit for a day or evening but as a birthday treat for my Fiance, we decided to stay overnight and the whole experience was perfect. Friendly and efficient staff, such a relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food and cocktails, what more could you ask for. Thank you for another brilliant experience.

Moddershall oaks for a while and it met and exceeded my expectations.
The welcome was so genuine and friendly.
We had a peach Bellini which was unexpected and free on arrival. We were they showed to our suite which was amazing with twin
Beds, a sofa, a great bathroom with elemis toiletries, a lovely patio overlooking the fields and a bottle of prosecco.
We used all the facilities and the vitality pool was a high light.
We had a delicious meal in the restaurant overlooking the lake and my friend said it was the best meal she had ever had.
The food was well presented and we had a extra pate course as there was a wait for the main meal.
We had a good nights sleep and a good quality breakfast cooked to order.
We both had a very good hot stone massage.
We spent the day in the spa and we both did not want to leave. We will most definitely return

My wife and I had a fabulous afternoon tea this today. We have dined here in the evening before and always enjoyed it, so afternoon tea was something different for us. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious and the service excellent throughout. Afterwards we took a stroll around the beautiful gardens then enjoyed a cocktail by the picturesque pond. Highly recommended.

A fabulous spa day in a lovely peaceful setting. Lunch was excellent. My massage was very relaxing… it was a relaxing visit from the start to end… loved all the hot tubs especially the outdoor one. The only down side was that I wasn't stopping for the night! Definitely will next time.

Just returned back from a overnight spa package here for my fiancé and I as a surprise birthday treat. Very easy to get too, well signposted. Staff were all very polite and attentive as soon as we checked in. The suite was amazing extremely comfortable (massive bed! ) and access to the hot tub outside which was great (and quiet). Dinner was lovely even more so the desserts! (Do not leave without trying one! ). Would have been great to have some more lighter options for dinner and more vegetarian options too but a very minor point. Our massages were wonderful, really relaxed. Breakfast was lovely great choice and all spa facilities were great and relaxing, unfortunately the steam room stopped working but when it was working it was amazing and gives your leg a super glow! The walk around the gardens and lakes has beautiful views and hammocks! A very worth it treat. Would definitely like to come back again and the other half was very happy.

Lovely setting for afternoon tea. Luckily we had beautiful weather and we're able to sit on the terrace and enjoy stunning views across the pool area. Saying this the interior sitting area was equally as nice should one desire the option. A really relaxed and enjoyable afternoon in a great location. The service was very friendly and helpful. There was a nice selection of sandwiches and cake. If you want a relaxed meal with great service in lovely surroundings look no further.

Got welcome drinks upon arrival. Personal Hot tub outside our door. Treatments was amazing. Staff was lovely. Food was very good. Definitely come back again it was an amazing experience.

I can't say thank you enough and how impressed we were! Upon arrival, we were greeted with raspberry belinis and even a card from Moddershall for our Anniversary! The staff were amazingly courteous, helpful & kind. Wish I'd taken some of their names to mention a special thank you. The facilities were fab! Gym, indoor pools, outdoor pool, steam room, foot spa… we enjoyed them all! Been to spa days before but this was def the best! Even how relaxed we were made to feel by being encouraged to have lunch in our robes by the lake side in the sunshine! Thanks a million, Moddershall. We had to drive hours to get to you, but we will be back!

I can’t yet comment on the spa itself, as I am yet to go. However I would advise anyone considering this as a nice present to not buy gift vouchers! I bought one for my mum, and saw an offer on Facebook for a take-a-buddy-for-free offer. Great I thought! Having spoken to the staff, I was informed gift cards are not to be used in conjunction with any other offer… to which I would understand and completely agree with. However, my gift card was paid in full, they have my money already and therefore clearly isnt an offer? Therefore having paid in advance, I am refused this offer and am now worse off for it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that when my mum does use this voucher, she is not disappointed, as it hasn’t been the greatest start! : — (

My partner and I are getting married here in June, the venue is perfect and the staff are friendly and helpful. We recently went to have our menu tasting and the cauliflower soup was divine. All the food was cooked to perfection and the service was second to none. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a little treat.

My daughter treated me for my birthday and it's the first time I have ever been. We were booked in for the evening and a massage. It was amazing from start to finish and the young lady that did my massage was fabulous. Her name was Lyndsey and she made me feel totally at ease and relaxed as it was my first ever massage. I definitely will be visiting again. Enjoyed a very relaxing evening.

This was our second time in Moddershall. We've booked a deal with a massage, dinner and breakfast included. At the arrival we were offered complementary drinks. We checked in and our room was beautiful. The spa area is lovely, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The outdoor pool is warm and nice. There is a sauna outside overlooking the hot tub. We tried the gym first which is small (I would have expected a bigger gym) and then went for a back massage witch was very pleasant. Dinner was my favourite part of the experience. The food was amazing. We had parfait as a starter, venison and plaice as mains, sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was all delicious. Breakfast next morning was good. The only thing I could fault were the pillows. They were to stuffed and really uncomfortable. I will definitely go back to Moddershall, next time I will take my own pillow.

I booked the Superior natural serenity package for my mums 60th birthday, along with my sister. Highly recommend this package. We did not want to leave… All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The ladies in reception were very welcoming. The girls who did our treatment (Sabrina & Kim) provided an excellent service, we really enjoyed our treatments. The girls serving the hot tub area — nothing was too much trouble, we never had any issues waiting for drinks or food. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and the staff were professional. They also provided my mum with a little birthday treat, which was a lovely touch. I will definitely be going back again.

This was my first visit here. I came for the evening spa session. Arrival was brilliant with a definate WOW factor! The receptionist was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. She took us to the restaurant to fill our forms in and arranged for our complementary drinks to be brought across. After receiving our towels and robes we went into the hydro therapy pool area. We were the only ones in there however there was towels and empty (plastic) glasses lying around. There was also no cups available for us to have drinks of water. We then went to the outside pool and again there was lots of towels (There was 6 of us at this point) lying around. Worse though was the glasses around the pool and some food on the chairs and pool sides. A waiter brought a drink out to someone and we assumed he would remove the glasses/food — we were wrong! He looked at them and walked back inside. At no point during our visit were we asked if we wanted any drinks/food (which was advertised as being waited on). Overall the facilities were AMAZING but the cleanliness and overall customer service left a lot to be desired. I shall return but with lowered expectations.

Very nice grounds and setting. We went for a meal last night and it was posher than the normal place we go to. We had some vouchers for Christmas and managed to get my mom and dad to look after our two toddlers for the night. Upon arrival we were very lucky as someone was just pulling out and got a parking spot as there is not much car parking space there. Is it quite a walk to the restaurant down many corridors. The staff were very welcoming and allowed us to sit down early as we got there quicker than expected. The waitress was very nice and polite. I had the lamb and my partner had the steak. The portion size was not very big but the meal filled me up nicely. We both ordered dessert, we both had sticky toffee pudding. It was delicious but unfortunately my partner found a hair in her pudding and did not eat the rest after finding it. She was not charged for her pudding. This was such a shame as the rest of the night was faultless. The manager also come over and apologised. We both thought the tables were a little close together. We cannot comment on the Spa facilites as we went just for the Meal. Thank you.

We stayed here as overnight guests it is amazing peaceful place. Lovely to relax and unwind with all there hot tubs and spas lovely staff who are happy to help. Amazing food and service.

Fabulous Spar in the most beautiful village of Moddershall in Staffordshire. Great swimming pool and sauna, Spar treatments etc. Really enjoyed my time there. Go and try it yourself. It's worth it. Recommended!

I’m surprised to have read some of the older reviews about this spa. I am pleased to say that from our point of view it was a really relaxing pleasurable stay and we would recommend it to anyone. My sister and I recently made our 1st visit to Moddershall Oaks and had an enjoyable and relaxing time. From the moment we arrived, we were dealt with professionally but also in a very friendly way. The receptionist took us to our room and as soon as we stepped through the door it was obviously clean and well appointed. We were made to feel very welcome and without exception, found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We stayed for one night (not long enough! ) and found the accommodation very luxurious and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for anybody and every time you walked past member of the staff they always acknowledged you, smiled and asked if you were ok. I was impressed with the quality of the food and found the food to be presented very well and arrived hot by friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant staff were very attentive and as with others couldn't do enough for you. Finally, the treatments were the 'icing on the cake'. Between us we had four spa treatments and would say 3 of the 4 were the best we've experienced. We would have no hesitation in recommending Moddershall Oaks if you want a quiet place to relax and be pampered.

We are planning our wedding here. Emma the wedding coordinator was simply amazing. Early days but we have been put at ease with the stresses associated with wedding planning. Best customer service experience I have had in a long time. Highly recommended seeing them.

I can only review the restaurant at Moddershall Oaks as this is the only area of the spa I have experienced. It is one of our favourite restaurants in the area and has never disappointed on any visit, either for lunch or dinner. The food is sophisticated without being pretentious with sensible portions and superb quality.

My mother booked a spa evening for my sisters birthday. My sister travelled from London and I travelled from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. On the date of our spa evening I called to upgrade our spa treatments. The girl on the phone could not spell nor communicate effectively with myself. It finally transpired that we had no booking, or it was on the 6th December. She could not decide which was correct. We were awfully confused and therefore called our bank with whom we bank with to confirm payment. Our bank confirmed payment, in writing and then confirmed the spa had sent the payment back. I called up to question this as we had travelled half way across the country for this evening, the Head of Sales said we had voided the payment. Which is a complete lie as our bank had realeased the funds. We were not offered an apology or anything else, we frequent the spa whenever we are home and will never be using the spa again. Disgusting customer service.

Spent the day with my sister, the lunch was great, had strawberry Bellinis on arrival, had 3 different treatments, all of which were amazing! Was such a lovely day, I'll definitely be going back.

We often visit, as it's one of the best food establishments in the area. The taster dinners are especially good and we like them because we get to try wines we ordinarily wouldn't. We've been for meals and have used the spa and spent an overnight stay for a special occasion. We had a slight issue over a booking for the November taster menu but it was eventually sorted in an efficient and professional manner. We'd highly recommend and it remains one of our favourite places to eat.

Booked with friends who unfortunately couldn't make it due to a parent being rushed into hospital. Informed the lady on reception who sent the person in charge over to see us. She told us that our friends would be able to rebook for an admin fee of £10 each and she would email the manager and could we call the next day to sort this. We rang the next day could not get hold of the manager. Someone has just called to say that they would not give our friends any credit or rebooking. Very annoyed as the staff on the night lied to us. Wont be coming here again, spa and meal were OK but I have been to much better.

Went for a wedding reception. The barman was extremely rude and felt like you were an inconvenience to him. Ridiculously over priced as well. A glass of wine and a coke was over £10.

Surroundings were very pleasant but service for pre-dinner drinks was very slow. Two of us had the mussels which were plentiful but rather tasteless. The couple we went with had the scallop which carried a supplement and was priced at over £10. When I say scallop — it was literally one scallop in a vegetable type sauce but was vastly overpriced. We normally get at least 3 scallops at other venues and do not carry a supplement. The venison two of us had was excellent and the lamb was also said to be superb, but the pork wasn't a great hit. It was apparently a new menu so hopefully they've had time to make a few changes.

Bought my girlfriend some spa vouchers for her birthday so she could go with one of her friends. They both loved it. I met up with her friend's boyfriend in the evening so we could meet the girls for food at the restaurant at Moddershall afterwards and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend. Great venue, great staff, great facilities, great food.

My wife and I have been to the restaurant four or five times over the last couple of years. Exellent food in a beautiful setting, perfect for that special occasion.

Just booked up an overnight stay to spend our wedding anniversary in this amazing setting for the second time. My wife and I visit Moddershall Oaks a couple of times a year and always have a fantastic break. The facilities are completely amazing, the staff extremely polite and helpful and did I mention the setting? Just beautiful. A typical day for me consists of a dip in the pool, followed swiftly by a relax in the jacuzzi, then on to the treatments. After lunch (I highly recommend the venison burger) maybe a hour reading in the relaxation room followed by another swim. (remember not to swim on a full stomach kids! ) Absolute perfection. Can't wait for my next visit.

Just enjoyed a very quiet and relaxing 2 night break. It is very intimate, well laid out, good suites with thoughful touches. All the staff we met were faultless. Apart from meal times, you hardly see another soul. My only gripe is that for £369 for 2 nights that you have to pay £5.95 for a dessert and also for any side orders. Meal times consist of 2 courses and you cannot choose which courses. For this amount of money, marketed as being luxury, I reallly do not think they should split the menu in this way, I feel lowers the tone. Either include or put up the price. Slightly! Paying for alcohol and drinks after 6pm and additional snacks is of course the norm. Overall it is a lovely place and the fact not quite all inclusive is the only off-putting factor when considering a return. LC Manchester.
