We only stopped for a drink on thw way home from an art exhibition. No staff when we walked in. Somebody came and did serve us. Was about 9.30, no excuse for relaxed staff to the point of wnd down of day cig outside, ok maybe out the back, not the front, and it doesn't take an expert to know, whaki backi. Have done this stop off annually now for an exhibition in Backwell. Shame, I seem to remember the same last year. Had to say something!

Great place to stay. Clean well stocked rooms and very friendly staff. Proper English breakfast. Would stay again if in the area.

Just went and had a Sunday lunch with my family and it was awful service and food. We asked for manager and he was the cook. Bar staff not helpful when someone in front of us had a flat coke. We complained but wasn’t received. PLEASE BE AWARE! FOOD WAS NOT worth the wait! They still took my money and feel like I have been taken for a ride.

Took over an hour for the starters to arrive (even though the pub was very quiet we were only one of three tables seated to eat) had to ask if there was a delay which probably prompted their arrival. Some were ok, but some were cold. The sunday roast is awful, some of us had burgers which were ok (not hot but were warm) but do not waste your money on a roast, the meat must be the cheapest nastiest pieces you can buy — the cutlery couldnt cut through it so had to leave it. The veg was bland/stale and obviously old but reheated however the gravy was tasty. Tried to speak to chef when he appeared but he didnt want to hear it and just walked away… after asking at the bar was informed hes the manager! Laughable really. Will never ever go again and will put off anyone I know from going. Truly awful.

What has happened to this place? Used to really good Service was very poor and The staff incompetent Food was such poor quality we just paid for our drinks and left What a shame as this was a great place to eat until the recent change in owners We will not be going here again.

Smart little pub that does great food. We went on Mother’s Day 2018 with the family. Although it was busy the layout didn’t make us feel jammed in. The food was great, offering the usual roast dinners and a couple of vegetarian options. The staff were great, plenty of smiles combined with good service. Large free car park. Nicely located between Weston super mare and Bristol.

The food was very nice. However the veg tasted like it was frozen. It is fairly expensive at £12 to £20 per a main meal. The food came with in 30 mins. But service was very slow. We had to go and fine someone to order extra drinks and sauces. I would of gave it 2 stars, but the food was very nice so I have it 3.

Absolutely awful food. Ribeye was full of gristle. Didn't taste anything like Ribeye should. My partners gammon was so burnt it curled and it couldn't be cut, eggs like leather so he went without food altogether. We won't ever return. Shame because it's the first Green King pub where we have been served inedible food.

Poor food, poor service and abismal range of beer. I think it was fosters or speckled hen. Used to be good.

Very enjoyable time spent, nice surroundings and pleasant people. But must admit some of the younger staff lacked a smile and looked bored.

Food has steadily gone down hill in the past few years and the service too! Keep returning hoping it has got better again, but unfortunately it hasn't!

New management have just taken over so they need time to address the following however some of these problems are long standing issues. The room was in need of some tlc, broken toilet seat, light bulb bed side cabinet needed replacing, room door handle hanging off curtains hanging off the rail. Tried to report problems, member of staff couldnt understand that I wanted to speak with the manager so gave up. Breakfast good but overall very disappointed.

Visited 22nd October, No longer a Mezze restaurant, I although the menu is still advertised online? I understand it has changed ownership? We had booked a table but no one came to take a drinks order and after waiting 20 minutes we had to find a waiter to take our food order. Food arrived after an other 30minutes. I had chosen Brie as a starter which looked like something you would buy from Iceland. The mushroom and moussaka dishes had little flavour and were 'gloopy' in texture. Apparently the fish and chips were ok. We will not be returning.

Unfortunately we timed are visit when they had new chefs/servers and this was obviously causing communication issues and delays. Food was ok when it eventually arrived but nothing spectacular and not good enough to justify the prices. The venue is lovely looking but the food unfortunately did not match that. Don’t usually bother writing reviews as this a sole experience and could of just been bad luck but felt compelled to as this really was poor from start to finish.

Absolutely fantastic venue. The staff here were friendly and helpful. They have a huge garden at the rear where you can also dine. The food came out really quickly, even though we were a large group. The food was great. Not a bad word from anyone in the group. The deviled chicken liver was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten, if liver is your kind of thing :)

Good food nice staff — if you have children they have a good play area — nice Spanish Tapas also good for snacks.

Lovely location, quite setting, family atmosphere good food, good value.

Great food and service. If you like tapas style food with lots of variety you'll love it here. We can't wait to go back.

Went to eat here today with my family to celebrate my birthday. It was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had! The service was awful, we waited over an hour for our meal and when it arrived mine had clearly been forgotten. The three roast dinners were bought and when we asked for horseradish sauce it was a very curt, in a minute! I ordered three dishes and only one arrived, so everyone is eating and my food arrived about seven minutes later, I ordered dishes I had had before so knew what they were like but was they bought was I can only describe as disgusting and only just warm. I politely returned the food, there was no explanation or apology of any description, by now every else had just about finished so I declined the food being reheated and consequently had nothing to eat. My daughter rightly spoke to the manager and his attitude was absolutely awful! They even charged me for the bowl of chips! So Thankyou very much mezze for spoiling my birthday! I have never left a review before but felt I had to warn people.

Food and service excellent. Relaxed environment.

We visited on this occasion for my Father in laws birthday. There were 6 of is In the group with age range 12 to 77. My wife and I were particularly pleased to see such a wide variety of vegetarian options on the tapas / mezzo menu. The service was very friendly with a good selection of wines on the drinks menu. It worked out around £20 per head including desert. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals which came with a short wait. Excellent value.

Stopped for a quick lunch on my way to a wedding in Kenn. Food was great staff were friendly.

Gorgeous food. Went for birthday lunch and prosecco in the sunshine. Service was quick, and excellent, amazing selection to choose from.

Lovely pub and restaurant, fast friendly service and the food was fantastic. Plenty of staff a viable so no waiting time and all ready to help. Love the ice cream palour located at the entrance to the garden aswell. Having the muaicnon the outdoor TV is a nice touch. A family, dog and children friendly place and highly recommend it.

Absolutely the best restaurant I have ever eaten at by far. Fantastic food, beautifully spiced and varied, succulent meats, great vegetarian options and really great value. Try the Grand Mezze for £17 a head, you will not be disappointed! You get to try a bit of everything and it's far too much to eat, it's a feast. The desserts are absolutely stunning too, they have the best Backlava with delicate rose Turkish delight ice cream. The service is really brilliant too, the staff are all friendly and polite and let you choose your own pace for the meal, so you never feel rushed. My favourite place to eat.

Excellent and varied menu, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely go again!
