Had a lovely Sunday lunch today. Lovely home cooked roast with tasty veg. Followed by a delicious crumble! Our first visit but will be back.

My husband booked the honeymoon suite for our wedding anniversary and we had a fantastic time. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and romantic with candle light. The food was absolutely delicious! The room was amazing and the garden was beautiful, can’t wait to visit again! Thank you so much for making us feel special.

Went for a staff function with around 60 attendees. A very limited buffet was served in insufficient quantities (followed by large dishes of Pringles and peanuts!? ). On booking we had been informed we'd need to vacate the function room at 23:00, but could continue to use the bar area for the rest of the evening. By 23:15 we were told we needed to buy our last drinks, and less than 10 minutes later the barman wanted our half-full glasses as the hotel was closing. For the money that had been spent for the buffet and at the bar, Battleborough's hospitality and quality of offering was dismal.

Potential to get trapped in mens toilet due to the lack of food handles on outer door. Slow bar staff. Otherwise good.

Went for a wedding and the food was anazing. Best cheesecake I've ever had!

Good food with excellent service for wedding function. Room very cramped for the numbers invited though.

Nice place but had it's problems when we overnighted. It would be unfair of me to go into details here however it was very annoying for us. Being generous I would assume that this was merely a one off.

This has been the best day of our lives! I can't thank Vincent and all the staff enough The food was excellent! I am overwhelmed with happiness! I would definitely recommend anyone who is thinking of getting married to go here so beautiful! Thankyou all again Love Sarah and kieran.

We only stayed one night but the staff we lovely and helpful. I told them a was a coeliac and at breakfast they had gluten free bread available for my cooked breakfast. Always the little things that make an impression.

Went to the Battleborough, with 12 members of the Family for Christmas Day lunch.
Being in the food and beverage business was a little apprehensive, but was pleasantly surprised everything went well the waiter staff did a good job, the food was well presented, tasted very good and very enjoyable thank you Chef (could of been abit more generous with vegetables) a very enjoyable dining experience.
Well done Battleborough Grange.

This is the best place for a quiet drink/meal or even your wedding I got marrierd 10/9/16 all the staff so helpful there was not one thing that went wrong lovely place.

The staff were very friendly, food was to a good standard. Overall a wonderful experience for our family, we shall return.

I have never seen a more poorly kept "hotel" or "wedding venue" in my entire life. The lady on reception was rude and didn't care to help at all. The wedding we attended was poor. The guests were sat on old crappy plastic garden chairs. Even the elderly guests had to sit in the stifling heat on awful cheap plastic chairs on uneven ground. No shade was offered and no offer of a more comfortable seat. They weren't bothered. The food was cheap and nasty, the meat was full of gristle. The veg was clearly from frozen. The "rooms" were no better than kennels. Random, indistinguishable stains on everything in the room. Smelly musty carpets, cheap nasty furniture which is damaged. If people are describing it as Luxury and Exquisite then they need their heads checking and their eyes opening! If you're planning a wedding and hate all your guests then this is the place for you!

It wasn't the hardest to get to and straight away the service was great. We were greater well and the drinks were fairly cheap. The food was good and I recommend it.

On the 2nd of April 2016 I had my dream wedding at battleborough grange hotel. I cannot thank all of the staff for the way they cared for us, especially Vince, Ange and Sam. Nothing was too much or too little to ask, everything we wanted and more. This venue is more than meets the eye the costs are so so reasonable and you didn't have to spend a fortune to have the day of your dreams. When they said 'welcome to the family' we really did not think we would have been treated as well as we had been. Thank you so much we've never been so happy. Xx.

Painful previous guests but the hotel took ownership of all issues and resolved them to the best of their abilities.

We would like to thank Vince and his team for everything you and the staff did for our wedding on Sunday to make our day so amazing. All your team were very helpful polite and caring & we were over the moon with the professionalism in which you all carried out the necessary duties We couldn't be happier with how the whole day went, the food was stunning and everything ran smoothly. There have also been loads of messages from our guests on how great they thought the day went… & what a magical place you created for our special occasion We can safety say we would recommend Battleborough to anyone wanting to book there wedding here. Sunday carvery lovely, staff very friendly and reasonably priced.

Excellent food the staff are wonderful and the whole place is beautifully clean and well presented.

We attend this restaurant every year without fail at Easter, a big group of approx 40 people. It's good, probably not quite worth the price, but the carvery is excellent: pile you're plate high with some fine quality carved meat and tuck away! It's got really pretty grounds surrounding it and it is quite easy to feel like you are the only ones there. Don't know what the rooms are like as we've never stayed.

I've been to two weddings here this year and have had a good experience both times. As far as a guest of weddings go, I'd say it's worth considering to hold an event here.

Sunday 11th August, We attended Our friends Wedding held at the Hotel and some guests stay overnight, We found the meals to be excellent and sleeping arrangements good, But please check your bill before paying as we found we had been charged on a tab to our room for Drinks nearly £20.00 which we did not order or authorised we made the mistake of not checking our bill before paying as we had not ordered any extras whatsoever only Bed & Breakfast. So we did not study the bill until after leaving the Hotel. We telephone the Hotel but not at all helpful because someone had signed the bar tab with our room number but the they do not check signatures against your signature details that you had left when checking in. So anyone can give a wrong room number sign the tab and the poor person who occupies that room will be charged. So beware study your bill before paying or pay by credit card. They say it is not their responsibility to check and we will have to investigate ourselves.

My daughter & I were treated to lunch by friends at Easter and I can honestly say it was one of the worst lunches I have ever had. The 'chef's home made steak & mushroom pie' was a portion of tough tasteless cubed meat topped with a triangle of puff pastry served with bought in frozen roast potatoes. The other vegetables were reasonable. My daughter is vegetarian and her option of stuffed peppers consisted of an undercooked green pepper filled with a spoonful of spinach, topped with a slice of mozzarella. My friend asked for the carvery which was a slice of dry turkey — no trimmings. The apple crumble was disgusting — a thick layer of bought in crumble topping over tinned tasteless apple. The staff were unhelpful. Unless you are a masochist avoid this hotel!
