The food drinks rooms excellent service can't fault it. Gail and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

Absolutely amazing. Friendly staff and the five bean chilli is literally the best thing I have eaten in a long time! Freshly cooked with fresh in season ingredients! Highly recommend!

I went to the fox and goose Sunday for Sunday lunch with friends. There was 8 of us and this included children. The food was lovely, I can’t fault it. However the service was awful. We were shown to the table and menus were on the table, we waited and waited for our order to be taken and no one came. We went to the bar to order and were told someone would come to the table and take it. We waited and waited again and eventually someone came. The food took a while to come but when it did was lovely. After we had eaten plates were not cleared we waited a long time and had to ask for the desert menu and then the plates were taken. We had to ask for our dessert order to be taken, when they came out were really nice. Then we waited for the bill, we had to go to the bar and request this and it still didn’t come so had to ask again!
In total we were there for 4 hours with small children, we initially wanted a quick lunch. It was not busy, the tables around us were empty. The service needs to improve you should not have to keep asking for your order to be taken and for the bill.

Just had Sunday lunch. Good service. Lovely presented food and all lovely and hot. 10/10 would recommend and would visit again.

Amazing set up in the large garden with The Tipsy Horse outside bar, and they've got Thatchers Gold & Haze 👍🍻 The bar lady/landlady is so friendly and helpful, great place x.

Lovely staff, tasty food good atmosphere.

Absolutely brilliant friendly service with a smile, social distance safety awareness upheld and the meal was lovely, I had the scotch eggs for starters and it is now aheadbof prawn cocktail for me, the main was the steak burger roll which I thoroughly enjoyed, the only regret is that I wish I had ordered the treacle sponge and custard. Loved this place as a child and I love it more now xx.

My best friend and I were on holiday in Somerset. Last night was our last night away so we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out. The staff were lovely, service was quick and the food was delicious. The prices were reasonable too. We will certainly return if we are ever in this part of the country again :D.

Fabulous food — 9 of us & had a variation of meals! Superb definitely homemade & full of flavour! Service great too. Highly revommend.

Four of us dined this evening, starters and mains. All food was lovely, hot and fresh. The team were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend and return. Hope to see the beautiful dog with a hat and paper next time. X.

Had dads wake there which my mum booked. They took advantage and charged way over the top with would you like this and this etc… poor mum fell for it. Not a nice place behind the scenes.

Quiet when we arrived around 12.30 on a Sunday. Menu during the week looks better but Sunday it's limited to roasts and it was 80°f outside! Opted for prawn salad, nice and well presented. Not a lot of choice for vegetarians. Pleasent staff.

Steak was lovely but a little disappointed that there was no salad garnish as I think that makes the plate more appealing. Service good and friendly staff.

Hugely disappointed with this 'hotel'. We booked a double room 3 weeks ago, and arrive today to be told they have no rooms available and there was no booking. Even though I knew the price for the room and their process for check in/out and payment. Spoke to who I think was the proprietor who's tone suggested she doubted the booking ever took place. I showed her evidence on my phone of calling their main line and again reminded her I knew the price of the room etc. She offered some empty apologies, she couldn't even offer a drink to us as compensation, even a coffee after travelling 3 hrs to get there! We have family nearby, and in future if we need to stay somewhere we'll explore all options including our car overnight before calling this place.

Lovely place good food very polite good parking rooms available if you need them very down-to-earth pub like a good English pub.

It was lovely good but it would be better if they had a gluten free menu rather than you question if any if the dishes you want have it in.

The premises looked very nice. We were after a light meal whilst on our way home from a holiday. We ordered jacket potatoes but got what looked like small, deep fried, half potatoes. The young lady called them skins? Very disappointing.

Very helpful bar and kitchen staff. Open all day, easy parking. Dog friendly.

The food was good but the service was erratic. My main course arrived long before anyone else on the table had their food and the side dish didn't arrive until the end. This meant my food was cold even though I went ahead and started early, and I had finished before the potatoes turned up.

We booked a Birthday meal for 14 people. Gail accommodated us and arranged everything so that our choices were met. On the evening, Mary & her team of helpers made us so welcome and the food was lovely. A really enjoyable evening. Would highly recommend as a local, friendly venue.

Homely place for both a coffee meet, or a social drink/meal. Recommended!

What a shame. Lovely looking pub. Shame about young could not be bothered staff. Shame about food. Mine was Luke warm. Husband sent curry back as meat really tough. Had to wait 20 minutes for replacement. By which time I had finished. Apologies were forthcoming. Overall a great shame.

Fox & Goose — I think you need to add " Lazy Cow " to it! Probably the worst host / manager (Jane) I've ever come across. Whoever owns this establishment needs a reaitly check… pure and simple! Get someone who actually cares about their clientele.

Fairly limited menu but reasonably priced and good food.

I booked a table for some food ahead of arriving, a nice area was ready for me, my friends and kids along with the high chairs setup as requested earlier. Staff where friendly, happy to help and the food arrived well cooked and prepared in a timely manner. I would revisit in a heart beat!

The food here is reasonably priced, the staff are all very friendly if you want a cosy pub with great food this is the one for you, it's location just down the road from Bristol airport means that if you have an early flight booked and want to stay the night, or just get a descent meal without paying airport prices this is the place to go!

Second visit, this time a table for 11. Once again we had good service, food delivered timely and well cooked to order. The sizzling steak is a perfect size meal, would definitely recommend.

We had a very good meal, the service and environment was great. Just a shame not more vegetarian meals on offer.

What a shame! Went in for a Sunday Lunch and managed to get a table as it was quiet. Ordered three roast beef and it didn’t take long at all to be fair which was good! Rather bizarre how the veg came out first though and was barely warm when it did. Bearing in mind the selection of veg was a bowl of plain cabbage and very sloppy cauliflower cheese. When the roasts came we were left so had to then ask if we would get the rest of our “selection of veg”. Promptly came out which was good but again only just warm. Beef, potatoes and the gravy was lovely though! Wasn’t horrendous but was a shame especially as they weren’t busy!

Nice little country pub. Good selection of Beers and Ciders. Staff are very friendly.

We love going here as we can take our dogs the food is always fresh and very well made there is also a good selection of beers wines and spirits we would recommend the Fox and Goose to anyone.

This was our second visit as we so enjoyed our meal before again outstanding food staff were so helpful and a lovely feel to the surroundings. Would recommend.

Good food and drinks caters for families and dogs are welcome.

Good food and pretty good service. But when my wife asked to swap her garlic bread for chips with her lasagne she was told she couldn't swap but had to have chips as an extra side (she had garlic bread with her starter so didn't want two lots of garlic bread). BUT when I asked to swap mashed potato for chips with the pork belly that was fine! If someone could explain that to me I would be much obliged! Still had a good night with friends though.

Sunday evening had very nice meal good service nice atmosphere great value for money.

A nice traditional pub / restaurant with a good selection of food. As a bonus they virtually always have some special local cider or ale at the bar.

Organised a suprise meal for my partner's 50th with family. All booked in may for 14 people. On arrival my parents aunt\uncle and my 93yre old nan was told that a mistake was made and no room available. Manager not available at time. Family had to travel back to Birmingham same night. Emails sent to manager who expressed how sorry she was and come to agreement on future discount if return. But no response FOOD GREAT.

Great pub. Well varied selection of drinks and a large menu of good food. Friendly staff, clean and a lot of space inside and out.

Attended a conference here — conference facilities perfectly nice. Staff polite, though not overly warm. Food was reasonably priced but left a good deal to be desired. Pretty standard pub level food — spose a bit better than a weatherspoons but definitely not a restaurant that beckons unless your already there for another reason. I really wanted to add a star for the two golden labs they have wandering about and greeting people — but it really is in that comfortable and perfectly fine category.

Conveniently located minutes from junction 22 on M5. Very friendly helpful staff. Clean air conditioned rooms which was brilliant as really hot when we were there. Great to be able to take the dog and able to eat in the bar. Definitely go there again when down that way.

Great and lively restaurant/bar with great menu, great service, and great atmosphere. Can't fault the food and good prices too. Nice interior and also has beer garden and kids' play area. Great place to go.

We went for the Saturday night of Bridgewater Carnival. From the outside and from the welcome we got on entering the place we thought that this was going to be nice. Indeed, when went to our room we were happily surprised. The room was clean and a lovely size. After we unpacked we dined there before going to the Carnival. My wife had the fish and chips. The fish was dry. My daughter had the burger and chips. The burger was inedible, I know because I tried it. I had the tagliatelle. That was salty, tasteless and tepid.
After the Carnival we got back to the hotel at around 10.20, hoping to have a drink at the bar. The place was locked and bolted tighter than an egg. The woman in charge informed another guest who had brought the same thing to her attention was told that they were quiet and so closed a 9. The place was full of Carnival goers. Surely they could see that anytime after 10 they'd be heaving in the bar.
The place was in the middle of nowhere so it wasn't like we could go anywhere else.
The beds were sheets and blankets. We were astonished. It must be the last place on earth to use them. My 14yo daughter had never seen them before. We had to explain all about them. I had to use all my power of memory to recall them.
Breakfast tasted ok but there was very little of it. Mine was tepid again.
Checkout was at 11am. We thought it was 12 like everywhere else on the planet and we had a knock at our door bang on 11 to remove us.
