We had Sunday Lunch at The Raven today, booked it because it was around the corner from our holiday cottage, the meal was fabulous, the beef, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables were all cooked to perfection! Followed by tiramisu. Yum!

Love it here, just what we needed to celebrate Stephens birthday and our Wedding Anniversary. The head chef bought us a drink to celebrate made it very special for us. We will definitely be coming back.

Popped in an extremely hot day. Staff very attentive and helpful. Asked if we wanted chairs moving into the shade. Offering Water. Food was as delicious. Salmon was moist not overcooked. Perfection. Dessert was sublime. Couldn’t find fault, will be back. Compliments to the chiefs and staff.

We have been visiting Much Wenlock for many years camping & never visited The Raven. We were made to feel so welcome by the staff who welcomed the dogs so whole-heartedly — in fact they got thoroughly spoilt. Myself, husband & Boycie our Schnoodle booked for Sunday dinner & it was fabulous! We have booked hotel rooms with friends for our next visit & can’t wait to come back. Thank you to all the staff, in particular Michelle as nothing was too much trouble. See you soon! Xx.

Michelle and the team were fantastic. Very welcoming to us even though we had wet and soggy dogs. Very friendly too. Lovely bar area and so helpful.

The wonderful staff at the Raven welcomed us and our black labrador Luna. They took her photo for their website and even gave her some roast pork. Lovely to see such a dog friendly welcome in Much Wenlock. Would recommend.

We had the most awesome meal for our wedding anniversary last night. The setting was incredible and the food tasted so lovely, with beautiful presentation. The staff were very attentive and we were very impressed with everything. All in all it was a great place for a special meal and we highly recommend it.

Been trying to find a replacement for a favourite now closed restaurant in Church Stretton. Now found it after a long search. Great food, atmosphere and attentive staff. Will be back.

The atmosphere and staff were lovely it was a special meal and because of that I did not say I thought that my pork tenderloin had been on the pass a bit too long — otherwise fine.

Our first visit to this wonderful hotel, Kirk was so helpful, and could recommend this hotel, had a lunch, nothing left on the plates cooked to perfection. Hv booked to stay in June for my 70th.

So good I booked again for my wedding anniversary. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious with a four poster bed. The menu is excellent and the chef is extremely talented. His food is about the best I have eaten that did not have a Michelin star and the associated price.

A real rural gem. Roaring fires, great food, comfortable beds, very attentive staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at the Raven on a previous occasion with friends and very much enjoyed the hotel and especially the restaurant. As my wife and I were looking to spend a few days away for our 20th anniversary and fancied re visiting Shropshire the Raven in Much Wenlock sprang to mind as a perfect venue. We were not disappointed, we both very much enjoyed our three night stay, our room was very comfortable and well decorated, all the staff very helpful and friendly and the restaurant excellent, our anniversary was acknowledged by the waitress on the night who surprised us with a drink on be house. We both thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary meal (not to mention the breakfasts! ) and will return in the future. I happily reccomend the Raven Hotel in general, the restaurant being excellent.

Amazing food in stunning old building. The Restaraunt is not to be missed. You need to ore book but it is more than worth it. Excellent wine selection and the staff are brilliant.

Lovely rooms excellent taster fair. As part of our deal we got a complementary bottle of quality prosecco. The taster meal was loved by all. We also chose to have wines with each course. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb. So much choice. We all loved everything about the Raven Hotel.

Wonderful, creative, delicious food.

We had dinner at The Raven over the Spring Bank Holiday. The meal was excellent and exceptional value for money. The staff were a joy all evening and we enjoyed the experience so much that we are planning to stay there.

We stayed for three nights in August 2008 and can't fault it. The room was large and comfortable, the bar friendly and the food beyond reproach, and the tables were laid with good table cloths and linen napkins — perfect. We just wanted everything on the menu. And unlike almost all other hotels we've stayed in, breakfast was served at our table — no cereal/juice bar to deal with. It's a splendid place to be located to tour in Shropshire too. If you go there don't miss the Priory in Much Wenlock either.
