The Crown Wetherspoon Hotel

This is one of the best Witherspoon's I have been in. It has a down stairs family room, a bar upstairs to watch the football and plenty of room in the normal bar. It is located in the middle of Worcester by the shopping center. The food and service we received was great. I would recommend this pub.

A nice spacious room, with a lovely bathroom that had a walk in shower. The room was air conditioned, which was wonderful as it was pretty warm whilst we were there. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to Worcester. The only downside was the parking which was a car park a few minutes walk away from the hotel. We drove round the one way system 3 times before calling and getting a different postcode, but we then couldn't find the entrance and ended up parking somewhere else, which was pretty expensive.

Really good brand of wetherspoons pubs. I love coming here! There's lots of seating options including outside, the menu is extensive and really good value for money for both food and drink. Food comes out really quick, even for a wetherspoons and is always impeccable quality. Really impressed, always come back here.

Massive thank you to the staff for accommodating my Vegan diet when I ordered breakfast today. They even came to tell me they used Heinz beans and therefore would take those off and add extra mushrooms. Wish other places would be so considerate and understanding. Thanks.

Had a two day stay here. Room was lovely and clean. All staff we encountered were very friendly. Food was served quickly and was very good. All shops were close at hand. Would highly recommend this hotel.

It's a weatherspoon's cheap beer and food, plenty of seating lovely building. Only gripe is the waiting time to be served slow and unenthusiastic a smile costs nothing, frustrating to wait for a long time when not busy and 4/5 staff on bar not doing anything but trying to make out they are!

Cheap food, cheap beer, what more could you want. The food is always really nice and the staff are always banterful. The decor of the place could use renovating but I really enjoy coming here. The outside area in reindeer court is lovely and is very nice to sit and relax with your mates.

Good value drinks and food. Recommended the 2 for £12 pitchers.

The room was spacious and extremely clean and we'll stocked. Staff very friendly. This is just a short walk to the hotel in the centre of the town. Great breakfast in the morning at Weatherspoons.

Placed an order using the app to my table. Food was delivered in reasonable time and was tasty. Bizarrely though having ordered a cappuccino a member of staff bought an empty mug to my table and directed me to coffee machines a good 20 metres away from my table. I find this counterproductive for the order and pay app as I now had to leave the table with my stuff to go and fetch my coffee for a machine. Apart from this slightly bizarre approach to app ordered coffee you can't complain about the price.

Visited during what I imagine would be one of their busiest breakfast sessions on the Saturday of the Christmas market. Finding a table wasn't easy but service was swift and friendly. Staff were working hard to keep place nice and tidy. Food was good, coffee is now self service from a machine and tasted ok. If you struggle with automated coffee machines have a beer instead.

Lovely staff except the one manageress who always has a face like a slapped cod. I wish they could cook eggs properly. Otherwise excellent.

It's a better wetherspoon pub… much better! My steak was delicious and the wife's jacket potato was also nice. Good value food and drinks in a nice setting.

Stayed the night in the hotel. Lovely big, clean rooms. I remember what this place looked like 15 years ago, I couldn't believe my eyes. What a difference! Well done wetherspoons. We downloaded the app for ordering meals and drinks straight to the table as the bar was busy. Worked great. Friendly bar and hotel staff. Validated ticket for parking in the crown gate shopping centre carpark for 24 hours. Our only problem was with the evening meal. Not very well prepared. We were dissapointed, so much so that we had breakfast elsewhere. We got excellent value for money on our visit. So 5 stars.

Nice big spacious pub, good choice on the menu. Visited a couple of times for the large breakfast. Good value for money in my opinion came out very quickly after our order. Nice and tasty for around £5.00 great value.

Large period pub. Busy & noisy but found a quiet room for eating which was pleasant. Food and service good would go again.

Delightful. Perfect. Excellent location, clean, kind staff. Much more than average. My room was really, rally nice.

Stayed here and it was brilliant — family room was spacious and very comfortable, only downside was that the windows didn't open very wide but if they did we might have had a visit from the many very noisy seagulls! Pub itself was great couldn't fault the food and the staff were great — especially the very helpful male hotel receptionist. Would recommend a stay here.

Friendly staff. Ordered 5 meals. 3 were fine. Onion rings were missing off one & sausages off another. The staff did sort it out but had to wait a while & when the meals came back they had been microwaved. A disappointing experience.

I really like this place it has a nice atmosphere and the typical "know what you're going to get" Weatherspoons menu. Nice to relax and have breakfast here before I start my busy day also buzzing atmosphere in the evening.

Cheap rooms right in the middle of the city, we had two rooms one on the second floor which was great and very quiet. However one on the third floor had very low ceilings and an early wake up call from the seagulls. Nothing the hotel could do about it bar taking out the seagulls. Cheap food and drinks downstairs all in all its actually very nice.

A really nice place, doesn't look much from outside but it goes on and back inside with a nice bar area upstairs and a pleasant terrace outside. Very quiet on the Monday evening when we visited so service was prompt and food and drinks as standard. Enjoyed coming here on our visit to Worcester.

Lovely building and much bigger than it looks from the outside. Went in on a Friday evening, it was busy but not overly busy. I stood and waited 20 minutes at the bar trying to buy a couple of drinks, totally ignored even though I was standing right in front of a till at the bar. Such a poor service letting such a lovely place down, so we simply left and went elsewhere.

Once again a poor effort from the kitchen staff sent out food that wasn't cooked properly. They should add salmonella to the menu if they continue to serve food like this. This must be the worst JDW I have visited and I have visited well over a hundred.

Very cheap and large capacity bar with lots of fine wines and a wide range of international beer selection. There is also a moderate size dance floor for those weekend nights. Although it is quite roomy, mostly crowded at lunch time and during the evening hours.

We came in for a late afternoon meal. We ordered meals from the menu without hassle. Three quarters of an hour later, we are still waiting, with people who had come in and ordered after us being served their meals first. We went to the bar to ask whether our order had been forgotten, or if it was on the way, and we were advised it would be a few minutes as it was busy. It wasn't overly busy however. Five to ten minutes later, our food arrived, almost an hour after our original order. The food arrived looking like it had been sat waiting to be brought to out table for some time. Cold and sad looking. We returned to the bar with the one meal (fish and chips) as it was completely ruined. The chips were cold and oily. The peas were swimming in an oil slick caused by the chips. The fish was so completely overdone, the flesh had dried out and had gone crisp along the whole fillet. Once again we returned to the bar, they weren't sure what to do, so the waitress who had brought our food came to the table to ask what we wished be done. We agreed that a replacement would suffice. Three quarters of an hour again, the replacement meal came out in precisely the same condition as the first. We went to the bar again to say something. They did apologize, and gave a refund for the fish meal. But when I suggested whoever was cooking the fish might need help, the answer was that they were sorry. Still unacceptable. And a very hungry person leaving the pub.
