Been here two times and it’s absolutely amazing and so beautiful I love coming here the rooms are absolutely clean and fabulous and there is so much to do while here and the swimming pool is beautiful and well looked after I am definitely coming back again with my fiancé

Food is lovely, staff are so nice and helpful. I came on my own for a relaxing stay and that's what I got rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need I woke up to snow this morning which was beautiful to see out with the surrounding area of the hotel.

Had a wonderful stay here, not just because of the fantastic spa, swimming pool and Gym or the brilliant restaurant and well stocked bar not even because of the lovely accommodation and beautiful gardens. It's the staff and management, they are fantastic, they cannot do enough for you, the service provided by them is excellent. My husband and I have had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend it.

I was lucky to have my 50th Birthday celebration here. Jess the event planner ensured everything was perfect and everything we asked for was supplied with pleasure with some complimentary extras which were lovely. The food for our meals was excellent and the staff under Danny’s supervision who served us were friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble and any problems were resolved quickly and professionally. The hotel is in a lovely setting and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Such a hidden gem tucked away and all our guests commented on how lovely everything was. I would definitely recommend Eastwood Hall for parties and weddings. Thank you!

Just come from spending 2 nights here. Was a lovely and relaxing experience. The rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The only thing is the dinner menu stays the same. Would be nice if they switched it up a bit! But the food was nice!

Beautiful place! Spa treatments are amazing and reasonably priced, spa, pool, facilities are great. Food is ok, no bacon for breakfast as run out, but not big deal. Bar food expensive and basic. Drinks expensive but great cocktails! Would come again, for sure.

We had a wonderful night here for our wedding the staff were very helpful and tried there best to meet all our needs despite being run ragged with several other events going on. I would recommend them any time.

My experience with eastwood hall so far has been nothing but positive. Emily (the sales office manager) has been so helpful and patient while we have been deciding to choose eastwood hall to get married in. The grounds itself are stunning and they have updated some rooms inside too!

Absolutely fantastic place, really nice and friendly staff.

Just had a lovely spa day here this weekend. Thought it may have been busy being a weekend but it was quite quiet and peaceful. We had full use of the pool, jacuzzi and sauna and thoroughly enjoyed them. We had a hot stone massage and this was very relaxing followed by afternoon tea and prosecco. Would definately return.

Just spent the weekend here, 1st time and must say we are impressed. The staff very helpful and friendly. The food was very good. The rooms was above average. The spa was ideal to chill. All in all well worth the money you pay. And would recommend this place, looking forward to coming back again. Also fabulous place for weddings, there was 4 while we were there, looked amazing.

We only had a two day stay with you but in that time we were impressed by your standards of cleanliness and food choices we were offered. The staff are very friendly and the barman even found a sherry for me thank you.

Had our wedding there this saturday. Venue is stunning rooms are fantastic. Staff were brilliant treated everyone amazing and couldnt ask for anything else from them. Had such a good experience me and my husband decided to spend another night. We will be coming back very soon!. We give a 5 star rating. A magical place to have your wedding.

A beautiful venue, rooms are good value for money and the swimming pool area was great. The reason I had to take a star off was down to the staff sadly. When I asked where the baby changing facilities where, I got told there wasn’t any. Then at breakfast when I informed the waiter I was with people who were already sat down I got told they weren’t there even though I pointed at them.

Good hotel comfortable but the double rooms could do with a larger bed. Good was great. The hotel is situated behind the actual old house. Comfortable and clean.

A conference style hotel in nice grounds, great for overnights, weddings, conferences and to stay at if using a base for sightseeing. Good staff, facilities and food. Reasonable rates too.

Odd set up. You have check in first and then park because the rooms are hidden behind the facade of the reception area and the hall itself. You then drive around to park you car outside the ‘rooms’ which are actually housed in what can only be described as a dated barracks. Rooms are dated in appearance. Not what I expected at all. Fire alarm went off about 11pm. No staff came out to acknowledge all the guests that had made their way outside and no acknowledgement or apology in the morning. Weird. Nice grounds thou. Why they don’t use the main hall for rooms is beyond me.

The photos of Eastwood Hall are deeply misleading. Forget the idea of staying in a Victorian mansion – the building was converted into offices for the local coal company 100 years ago — for the photos of this hotel do not show the enormous 1990’s corporate hotel tacked on to the original building. The hotel is aimed very much at the business traveller, with a variety of conference and seminar rooms. At weekends it morphs into a wedding location. The whole place feels deeply “corporate”, the bulk of the staff, especially at reception, showing a similarly corporate mentality. The rooms feel corporate and anonymous, though have all the usual facilities. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever experienced – neither my wife nor I slept well – though the room was clean. We were somewhat surprised to find a TV with about 5 channels available, all viewed through a haze of interreference, our travel companions finding the same. Breakfast was fine, though strangely when the restaurant was less busy on the Monday morning, the staff and the kitchen appeared unable to cope. If you want a sterile, anonymous place with indifferent staff in which to stay, this will suit you fine. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Myself and my sister-in-law came to stay at Eastwood for a relaxing catch up weekend and we encountered a few issues whilst at Eastwood from Friday 29th June and Saturday 30th.
Firstly on arrival at check in it was fast and confirmed we had booked a twin room. Upon arrival at our room it was made up as a double. This was swiftly corrected and for this we thank the housekeeping services. …
The issues we encountered and are complaining about we're from Saturday.
Firstly we went and sat out in the courtyard at around 10am where other guests had taken out cups of Tea/coffee and plates of food from breakfast. This then sat there all day in the blistering heat. Never once did any member of staff attend the courtyard whilst we were there during the hours of 10am till we left at 4pm to clean away any tables and rubbish that was left.
At lunchtime other guests who were attending the church and Ibstock conventions proceeded to sit in the courtyard and leave empty cans all over the tables attracting flies and being blown over the courtyard as there were no bins at all for guests to place their rubbish.
The main reason for the complaint is the fact there was nowhere for us to purchase a beverage at all. When we asked a member of staff we saw passing the bar what time it opened we were told he didn't know and usually around 3 maybe 4 if there was a football match on!

This a really great venue. The staff are great and very helpful. Very well kept and clean. Excellent place to stay. And close to the Derbyshire dales. The accommodation is very good and comfortable.

Beautifully appointed place. Fantastic grounds. However did not book the room that I requested until I went back to 'reception to ask for a move. The public toilet facilities are scant. When I asked if there are any closer to where we were I was told to use the ones in our room. Fine but our room was down 2 long corridors and up 2 floors. Car parks are very good if you are fit. Only 4/5places set aside for disabled guests. Around 240 rooms you would expect a better % for disabled. Can't speak about food etc as we left the same night and didn't stay.

Lovely place leisure facilities Brill. Evening meal was lovely and staff very pleasant. Checked into our room at about 11am should have been 3pm but room was ready so let us in early. Lovely clean room. Breakfast was amazing buffet style from fruit to cereal to full English, pastries hams and cheeses choice of juices and different coffees. Only about a 10 min walk into eastwood with shops cafes and pubs. Only down side is I think the bar prices are over the top the cheapest lager being 4.60 pint —5.10. Small wine was over £5. All in all had a great over night stay would love to go back.

We went for an awards evening which included a 3 course meal. The service was teally good and quite efficient, considering the number of people being served. The food unfortunately was quite disappointing. I am a dairy free vegetarian and I know this combination is not a chef's ideal guest. My starter was a tomato soup and it tasted as if it came from a packet, not a great start. The main course was gnocchi with a handful of veg (a few spinach leaves and some squash) and it was quite bland. Desert, fruit salad. I find a lot of places do seem to lack imagination for my diet and it was a shame about the gnocchi, as it was a nice idea, but it needed seasoning and a few more vegetables. Nice venue, lovely staff but the food let it down.

Great food. Good leisure facilities. Room was a long walk from reception. Nice surroundings. Seems to cater more for conferences and weddings. A little remote from Nottingham town centre but good value for money.

Went for a overnight stay here and it was lovely. Staff friendly and helpful. Food lovely. Nice and clean hotel. Spa enjoyable. Will go back in the near future. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely place, nice bedrooms, bathrooms, staff. You can get free tea or coffee whenever you want. You also get a little basket full of goodies like cookies, milk, coffee and tea. Next to it is a kettle so you can boil your water. Breakfast is not included so you have to pay in advanced or when you get there for it, but it is really nice. You have a buffet for both breakfast and lunch. The dinner is a book in advanced thing, to see what you want and what you're allergic to. The only tiny downside is that they only let the children use the pool on weekends from 3pm-5pm.

I have given this place 3 stars as that's the maximum rating I believe it deserves. Where on earth they get 4 stars from is beyond me. Poor check in experience, one member of staff on, who was intent on having a conversation with who knows who, probably his mother as mothering Sunday was taking place on the same weekend we were there. Finally when he ended his enthralling call, very little in the way of an apology for the wait. A decent walk to the room, which is definitely something from a bygone age. A flat screen TV which is circa approximately 2006 and displayed an appaling quality picture. It also featured a net curtain, something which I've not seen again for 20 odd years. Miserable energy saving bulbs everywhere that made it difficult for make up application (or so my other half told me) an antique Corby trouser press was also present in the dingy dwelling. Bathroom was a little better as is provided an excellent pressure shower that maintained a constant temperature, however on closer inspection I discovered cracked tiles, poor silicone sealant application and a loose grab handle. Food again was decidedly average, we had mushroom soup, which to my surprise appeared home made and of good quality. Chicken breast and potato main was ruined for me due to munching on some small bones, mmm yummy! Drinks were acceptable for a place of this size with a pint of beer and a Jack Daniels and lemonade coming in at £8.50.

Bottom of wardrobe had extra pillows, pillows not in a plastic bag and area around pillows dusty. Bathroom only had one set of towels. The only toiletries present were 2 soap dispensers, one at the sink and one in the bath/shower area. We had dinner in the restaurant. Booked in at 7.30. Had starter and by the time our main course arrived it was 8.40. And Luke warm. Not sure what breakfast is going to be like. It's served from 7 — 9 in the morning. The staff are not to blame. We had a really young man called Andrew who couldn't do enough for us. Was very professional. We hope he goes places and furthers his career at another establishment. Also Gabriel in the restaurant area during the day was extremely good at his job and couldn't do enough for us. There was a waiter in the restaurant in the evening who was also very attentive but had to put up with all the complaints, felt sorry for him. Told him that they needed to get a proper chef.

Nice hotel with a plenty of parking located in some beautiful surroundings. Great for conferences or meetings as you can have small to large meeting rooms with a large open area downstairs where you can sit and drink coffee and tea. Food is also very good and tasty and offers a nice selection and variety. Staff are pleasant and helpful and try to be as non-intrusive as possible. Overall a very pleasant experience.

This used to be a decent hotel. Had one of the worst meals I have ever been embarrassed by in front of my staff. Almost an hour from order to table, only one if the 5 meals was complete and the alleged 227g sirloins were more like minute steaks no more than 4mm thick and small. To their credit the manager decided not to charge us for the meals and bought us a round of drinks, so the manager and bar staff are still good, but eat somewhere else.

Food is great, breakfasts in particular, gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi although a little small are adequate. Alcohol is a little overpriced and rooms are pretty decent, although could do with a few more mod-cons I feel. Perfect place for business conferences or an overnight business stop off, not really suited to a week long stay in my opinion.

I attended a day conference for my Mac Nutrition Uni course at the Eastwood Hall and stayed the night. Premises were OK, food was very good (although there was no water available during lunch nor breakfast). Rooms a little outraged and walls probably too thin — I could barely sleep due to the couple in the next room having an argument after 1am. We called reception trice and I was even told during checking out that Police was called. Will be staying there again in June and looking forward to it.

I went to Eastwood Hall to speak to a wedding venue stylist to discuss my wedding that I am having at Eastwood Hall. The venue is very nice, clean and tidy. The reception staff are friendly and it is a beautiful building. The rates are good and the location is nice and central. Overall I would highly recommend Eastwood Hall to anyone!

Located in a very nice area but its quite far from Nottingham itself. Rooms are basic but kept clean. Restaurant is neat but the plated meals need to improve. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception and restaurant.

Had our works Xmas party here last night. The food was disgusting. Service was terrible no manners by serving staff at all. Two of our party had to ask for their meals as they hadn't been served and staff where coming clearing tables. Dirty plates where left on tables throughout the whole meal. The main meal was a joke. One small potato two tiny Brussels half slice of Turkey. Half a carrot and parsnip. One small ball of stuffing. The soup starter was bland and cold. Dessert was over microwaved Xmas pudding and rubbery. If you wanted coffee you then had to use a vending machine in the corridor yourself. For £40 a head I expected a lot better than this. Won't be returning. Good job the company was decent and a decent disco afterwards otherwise the evening would have been totally ruined.

Was here for my partners works evening, the hotel room, as always was impeccable, although was annoyed that we couldn't use our laptop with the TV (TV input select was disabled) but that was the only negative. The meal was delivered with military precision and tasted incredible. Quite expensive bar, but didn't mind that because of the fantastic staff. So lovely, accommodating, nothing phased them. I look forward to our next visit.

Lovely setting inside and out, comfortable bedrooms with a nice range of food on the menu. Lewis (restaurant staff) made our dinning experience one to remember, going out of his way to cater to our needs. Thank you.

This hotel is set in a beautiful place with great views from the rooms. It has a swimming pool and a gym which yup can use for free during your stay. Food was great and with a large variety to choose from, especially breakfast.

Set in nice grounds. Staff very friendly, leisure club good, pool bigger than the usually hotel size. Bedroom above average and restaurant food tasty although slightly over priced. Would go back again.

Just come back from a late anniversary break and felt so unwelcome.
The room was very standard and mould on the ceiling as well in the bathroom. Also wasn't cleaned well from guests from previous night. Bathroom could do with upgrading. Very cold in the room. We told staff at reception who didn't seem bothered but said they would sort out for us but failed to do so. Evening meal — we had staff tell us how busy they were but could hear them messing around in the kitchen which we sat close to. Waited 40 mins for them to bring bread and water after we asked twice for, then the meals were cold and not what they stated on the menu. Other guests complained about the food but no apology was made. Never got asked how our food was, and waited a further 30 mins then to bring the dessert menu out.
They leisure club seemed lovely but swimming pool floor dirty and an awful coloured foam over the hot tub.
Breakfast was ok, everything laid out well but felt rushed as the staff kept saying how they had a big conference and seemed more bothered by that.
The staff didn't make us feel welcome at all and no one seemed to even smile.
Lots of dirty breakfast things left outside bedrooms all day long and didn't get cleared away.
We are so disappointed we are writing to the relevant people.
Would not recommend at all.

Service was of an excellent quality. The rooms however were lacking. The bathroom was grubby and in need of a deep clean. Rest of the room was ok. Service in the restaurant was very good and the team members we spoke to were polite and friendly. The food however, just wasn't worth it. We managed to get a last minute deal so it was all included in the price however they're charging top quality restaurant prices for a standard of food you can get in most chain pubs. If we hadn't of had the meal in with the deal we would have left after starters were served. I could not fault the service from anyone we encountered, but I wouldn't stay again.

Pleasant, corporate style room which was very quiet. Bathroom in need of updating but perfectly clean and serviceable. Grounds lovely, especially for the dog and breakfast was fine. Veggie sausages would have been a welcome addition! Nice pool and other leisure facilities. Would have liked another night.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst doing a training course, great outside areas, bar and food was good too, room was OK but water pressure sucked… Conference rooms big but lack of decent air conditioning. Apart from that this place is good.

Quite a country manner vibe to the place. Semi wild gardens out front with cattle. The main building itself while having the county manner appearance is quite modern and elegant inside. A very comfortable environment. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Attended a christening, the hotel was advised to have welcome drinks for when we arrived and it was after speaking to the reception that we cot them. Food was great, but again it wasn't out at the agreed time. The drinks from the bar are very expensive. £3.50 for a soft drink (coke) is unreasonable I feel. Positives though, this is a fab venue with lovely grounds. It is very peaceful and offers alot of facilities.

Excellent weekend stay. Staff truly kind and helpful. Nothing was too much effort for them. Only complaint was it was rather noisy in the restaurant whilst trying to enjoy our evening meal and party. Music going on up to midnight that could be heard in most bedrooms. Great venue for weddings and parties.

Went here on business. Friendly staff, very good service, mostly business people here but it was middle of the week. Very nice area, but quite expensive for drinks. Has a free gym and pool if you are a guest in the hotel which was nice and modern. We got food included with our room through our package but was a buffet selection which was ok not amazing. Plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Booked this deal through Secret Escapes. The hotel is massive. The grounds are beautifully kept. Efficient and pleasant reception. There was a wedding on so we were offered a room well away from the party and it was lovely and quiet. Our deal included dinner, bed and breakfast. Evening meal was great. Attentive staff. Pool and spa facilities are not big but clean and large enough to have tried everything and got some lengths swam.
Breakfast was fine. The wedding party were having breakfast at the same time as us and were giving the staff the run around. The staff all acted very professionally and I made a point of telling the young man that he was doing very well under huge pressure.
Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Didn't have a lot of time to explore or even eat there. The room was clean and tidy with enough accessible power points. Bathroom was spotless, the shower (over the bath) was a bit limp in terms of water pressure though. Staff were pleasant and helpful too. The leisure and dining facilities looked impressive but as I said already, I didn't have first hand experience of either. Would definitely stay again.

Went there on a Groupon deal. £89 for dinner, wine, breakfast & overnight stay. Poor start, reception was deserted, no one around & no bell to ring or anything. Eventually someone turned up. Room was large décor a bit tired. For such a large room there was only a double bed not king size & only one bedside table. Dinner very good. Bed very uncomfortable.

The location is good enough near Nottingham and Derby. The room was spacious and very nice, clean and tidy, standard non posh hotel fair. The service was impeccable on check in, for evening meal, in the morning at breakfast. All in all very happy and very reasonable.

We were staying using a Groupon deal, which was great value for dinner, bed and breakfast including a bottle of wine. The venue is a conference centre, which was reflected in a number of ways. A lot of doors banging at different times. Groups of people with name tags on laptops. Accommodation arranged in blocks. Limited menu, supplemented with daily specials was a little variable. Saw one guest return soup. I was served an Aberdeen Angus burger, missing the burger! This was spotted as it was placed in front of me and whisked away to be remade. The complete burger was disappointing. Heavy bun, dry and under seasoned burger. Poor for £14. 2 glasses of ice with some coke in cost £7. On the plus side, mist of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool and spa facilities were good, changing rooms a little tired looking. Breakfast was good. Overall it was OK, but not great.

Great conference centre with plenty facilities and space. Restaurant is reasonable, rooms are of good quality but nothing special.

The rooms and service were wonder and tge food is great. I'm well rested and very full after a good day here.

The location is excellent with good, secure car parking. The room was cavernous and clean but the bed could have been better placed. The service was excellent.

Good service, food and accommodation. Drinks on the expensive side but good weekend away. Suggest a walk into Eastwood to the Lady Chatterley. Good food and beer.

Like nothing at all about it have to use it or sister hotel Derbyshire at J28. Manned by kids who don't care and why should they all they can do is moan about each other. Food took nearly an hour despite only 6 people in restaurant none of who were waiting. I check in week after week and they don't recognise me and I have to fill in form again. Might commute to Nottingham centre and back instead. Stay away if you can or go to millets and buy a tent.

More staff need on the bar at a wedding.

We stayed at Eastwood Hall on a stop-over to the North East on Saturday night. There were two wedding parties taking place and we were told that the hotel was very busy and our room would be away from the noise. We then had a "trek" to our room which was in an accommodation block behind the main building (which is the one you see in the pictures). We were told that the restaurant was busy that evening and we asked for room service. However, every time we phoned, we had to leave messages on the answerphone as the calls to the restaurant were not answered. Our pizzas did eventually arrive, literally in two boxes, no plates, napkins, cutlery or condiments (apart from the small bowl of tomato sauce we asked for). We were given a bottle of red by way of apology because the order took so long. The rooms were noisy, not only from the wedding but general doors slamming etc. On a positive note, the room was nice and clean and spacious but somewhat dated, circa 1980s, the TV was quite old and had only the usual channels, none of which were in any particular order. Breakfast on Sunday was an ordeal. We went down and were met by a large queue, which we joined. The lady at the door with the clipboard, appeared to be calling room numbers but hadn't asked for ours and when we ask if we had to give our room number she said "no" she had a system. It was all very confusing and she was actually quite rude. We were eventually seated. Breakfast was nice and there was a lot of choice.

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago with a friend, who booked the hotel. Look's great on the pictures, with the usual disclaimer that they don't represent all the rooms. Understatement! The room we ended up in was no better than a old travel lodge room. Cobwebs, marks on the walls, bad decor and room doors that just slam shut (kept my friend awake till about 3am! ), shame they don't make the effort to get the rooms looking like there website in at least some way. Will not be going back if that's all they can offer the casual stayer.

Awesome one night stay. Great quality hotel and the best breakfast I have ever eaten! Recommend to anyone.

I came here time and time again for confrences and general holidays and it is the best hotel i've been to and i've been all over the world if I could die somewere I would die here. Thank you very much.

I stayed here 1 week in november 2008, treating myself to luxury, or so I thought. It is a beautiful location, parks around with wildlife. Hotel is very large, had to walk miles from my room to get to Pool or breakfast. Pool is large and very good for swimming/work out. Jacuzzi a bit small. Not possible to go from your room in swimsuite and bathrobe to pool, they want you to use changing rooms at pool area, which I found very inconvenient. As a result did not use pool as much I had wanted to. Breakfast buffet was good, lots to choose from, and friendly staff. My room was not sound proofed, so very noise as other guests walk by. Internet was NOT for free, even very expensive. Room was modern and clean. This is basically a hotel for groups, businesses and conventions. Nor very cosy or a nice atmosphere for the individual traveller. I found roomrate way too high for services provided.
