I had a pleasant stay in this b&b full of character and charm, and a great breakfast choice.

A warm and inviting welcome from both the staff and decor upon entering the restaurant. We were directed to comfortable sofas within a private bar area from which we ordered our drinks and courses. Upon entering the dining room and being seated we were greeted with our starters. The timing between being seated in the bar and entering the dining room was well thought out, leaving sufficient time to engage in stimulating conversation with friends whilst providing pre-dinner nibbles to wet the appetite without making us feel an uncomfortable longing for food. The quality of food was superb, the dishes were designed beautifully with each component complimenting another. Clearly the chef and his team put a great deal of effort in the design and execution of their menus. The interior is more traditional but entertains certain flairs of contemporary design — this works well. It is fairly expensive but certainly well worth the cost.

On Friday last sixteen members of the Aquitaine Society and wives held their 574th dinner at the Roade House and could not have been more delighted with the food and the service. This has become an annual event and we are fortunate to have such an excellent venue close by. The Aquitaine Society is especially interested in fine wines, particularly those from Bordeaux but excluding nothing of best quality. The Roade House always meets and frequently exceeds our expectations.

Booked last minute for a great deal for a Saturday night. Really good place to stay, lovely rooms and the girl that looked after us both in the evening and at breakfast was more than helpful. Food excellent, beds clean and room spotless, (great shower to! ) Will be booking again for sure. Reccommend to everyone!

COLD cold athmosphere, it was as through they want your money but not you! very unfriendly.

The Roade House food is really delicious. We have been back time and time again for an evening meal and never had a bad meal and so far been unable to top it elsewhere. The food is well presented and delicious and the price definitely reflects in the food. The menu changes every month and the food is seasonal and sourced locally. This is somewhere you feel you can dress up a bit and makes for a really special evening. More suited to small groups or couples as restaurant quite small but that's not a negative. Well recommend a visit for a special occasion. Accommodation also very nice.
