Fabulous place, beautiful surroundings, the afternoon tea was very good. Looking forward to returning.

Loved a spa experience here a couple of months ago so decided to join as a member. It’s fab, staff are amazing, gym and spa are fantastic. It is in such a scenic area you can really enjoy the peace and quiet. Would highly recommend.

We had the most beautiful afternoon tea today and the service from Jelena was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble, she had a smile on her face the whole time, she really made our experience an enjoyable one. The food was amazing, everthing was freshly baked and so tasty. We will be back very soon.

Lovely to be back at this hotel which is part of the Handpicked collection. Definitely one of our favourite hotels. Professional, friendly staff. Food is excellent, well presented with local products used. We had the tasting menu with wine flight, absolutely fabulous. We couldn’t fault the taste and presentation of the food. Fabulous grounds which are ideal for walking.

Beautiful building. Staff were very friendly. Downside food was overpriced for what we had. My steak had to go back as was over cooked for a rare steak which meant my hubby had eaten his by the time mine came out. The vegetables were £5. A dish which we asked for the seasonal vegetables but just got a dish of leaks. Very disappointed. But otherwise room was lovely. Would stay again but wouldn’t eat here in the evening.

Lovely savoury afternoon tea had at Fawsley Hall. The Tudor room is beautiful and the food was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful although it was disappointing I wasn’t able to get one of the afternoon tea gin cocktails because the bar could only cope with the wedding party. The cocktails should be removed from the menu if the bar staff are going to refuse anybody outside of a wedding party. All in all, a very nice afternoon. Recommended.

Stunning! We went to the wedding fayre as my sisters has her wedding booked and while we were there we had the Sunday roast in the cedar lounge! Amazing staff who are so friendly and helpful! Cannot wait to come back for a spa break and stay before the wedding x so beautiful x.

A spa and hotel that truly make you feel special. They made my 40th birthday celebration super fabulous. Details such a the handwritten note in our room, being brought special complementary truffles one evening when sat in the great hall. The spa is absolutely beautiful. The staff excellent. Always on hand for anything and the treatments were first class. Due to covid staffing levels we weren't able to sample their silver service dinner but breakfasts were delicious.

Stunning lovingly restored hotel. Special night away as a part of my 50th celebrations. Beautiful room, gorgeous meal. The spa is also amazing — had full body scrub & Back/Shoulder massage which was the best! Loved it x.

Lovely tranquil place with a relaxed felling. We enjoyed a gel manicure and a face and body massage combo. Also enjoyed afternoon tea and a 5 course tasting menu. We stayed a single night in a spa room and was able to enjoy the facilities extensively during our stay.

What a lovely setting for Gemma &Ben McCarthy’s Wedding on 19.8.2021. It was a pleasure to be invited to celebrate their day with them. The Hotel itself was wonderful and my room was amazing. Thank you to Management and Staff for such a wonderful time. X.

We purchased coffee on the front lawn on Monday 10 May 2021. We were told we could not use the toilets as we were not ‘guests’. This type of treatment of paying customers is discriminatory and rude. Needless to say we felt unwelcome. This discouraged us from returning and it follows that the hotel will not be recommended by us.

Such a lovely “take away” afternoon tea experience during these challenging times. From service, to packaging, to quality, it can’t be beat. This enabled me to share a lovely afternoon (online) with my family who were hundreds of miles away x.

We have been there over Christmas after a difficult year and no option to see my family in Germany. The staff was fantastic, catering for every need, always with a friendly face whilst making sure everyone was save. We cannot thank them enough for making this a very special experience.

We stayed here last year for the night and used the spa too. It was absolutely amazing. We felt like we’d had a proper rest! The food was beautiful, the service spotless and the room gorgeous. Would absolutely love to come back!

We had afternoon tea yesterday and was served by Nathan. Couldn't have asked for better service even if we tried, absolutely fantastic, so professional, we were doing some celebrating so Nathan brought out some lovely surprises from the kitchen. Couldn't fault it, was lovely. Food was delicious as always. Love coming at Christmas to see the big tree in the grand Hall. My favourite fancy place.

We got married here on May 2019 and I cannot rate them highly enough. Stunning venue with beautiful rooms and grounds (we had the Knightley Court package) perfect for a wedding, and the staff could not have been more helpful and brilliant at what they do. Shout out to our coordinator Ebony! They worked so hard to make our day special and we cannot say thank you enough.

We had a wonderful Afternoon Tea, there was a choice as to which tea to choose. The finger sandwiches were delicious and the fancies were delicious too. We couldn’t eat all of it, the staff offered us a box to take the left overs home in. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. We are looking forward to going back.

A true treasure hidden away in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. You can always be assured of a cheerful welcome. The historic building is sympathetically decorated. The food is always great and there’s a well stocked cellar and bar. Recommend for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.

Booked in for afternoon tea at 4pm for a special occasion. Arrived at 4pm. Finally received afternoon tea at 5.30pm! By the time we had finished all staff had left and there was no one to say goodbye and thank you. If we hadn't paid in advance we wouldn't have stayed. On a positive note, when it did arrive, the food was excellent.

Just back from an amazing spa weekend and cannot rate the whole experience highly enough. All the spa, hotel and restaurant staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us and went the extra mile to make sure my mum had an incredible birthday. Beautiful surroundings, clean well maintained hotel, spa and grounds. We loved it that much we started to plan our next trip there even before we left. Cannot wait to return and thank to all the staff for everything, best spa and hotel experience by far (and I've had a few)

You sent me to sleep which is a first for me. … You can clearly see that this spa is well managed and that the quality of staff is high.

Fabulous from start to finish… Afternoon tea divine, room amazing. The staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive. Clearly this is a well led hotel that strives to achieve memorable breaks. The SPA team were also exceptional. Thank you just what my husband and I needed.

Absolutely amazing historical building with amazing views. Situated in a peaceful, scenic landscape where sheep, ponds and ancient buildings in the distance can be seen. The room was spacious and practically a home away from home. Nice and clean too. Food was fab. The staff was very helpful and friendly and would recommend this to everyone. Thankyou for a lovely and memorable stay.

Its very nice. A wholesale wedding zone with added corporate income. The grounds and garden aren't very big but the views are lovely. We had a good night in a great old place but left wondering why I paid 25% more than similar top class country hotels and what they spent the extra money on.? A good Spa morning after buffet breakfast with a heated mini pool next to the sun loungers in the garden, nice. Try it out.

Great mansion with lots of history. Good food and drink but no real ale on tap is annoying. Service is excellent. Expensive you Will need a big wallet. However you get what you pay for. From captain quick.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Fawsley Hall for making my Mum’s surprise 70th birthday afternoon tea so special. From start to finish the service was absolutely faultless and you couldn’t do enough for us. The food, the chocolates, the setting, everything was just superb and she had an amazing time. You all really do have a passion for your jobs which was delightful to see.

We attended Fawslry Hall to assess the venue for wedding hire, it was very pleased and accommodating, the staff were very friendly and it was a very busy environment. The Main house it beautiful for a traditionally style wedding whereas the knightly court was more modern.

Afternoon tea with my Grandparents as a treat. Lovely food and drink. Service was welcoming and always on hand for any needs. There was plenty of food, so much that we took some away with us. Highly recommended.

My granddaughter's wedding was wonderful. The Fawsley Hall staff were marvellous. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the food, service and accommodation was superb.

This place was epic! It had great food — some of the best we've ever had. The staff were very nice — especially a chap called Mo. The spa was great. The room was great… We'd go again if we could afford it. That's the only down side… The price. Nevertheless, if you can afford it, it was worth the money for a special occasion.

Nice old country house in great surroundings, out of town and miles from anywhere. Didn't try the spa/gym/pool but looked nice. Had a beautiful meal in the restaurant and relaxed in the tudor bar afterwards (with a good selection of board games if you're that way inclined). Staff were friendly and helpful though room service had run out of peppermint tea and didn't replace the coffee : (overall any issues were very minor though and would stay again.

My friends got married here and it was a gorgeous venue. The staff were lovely and very helpful, the food was great and all of the services they provided were spot on.

We were lucky enough to spend out first wedding anniversary in the same room we had on our wedding night, and it certainly didn't disappoint. I think the it must be the best room in the hotel with fabulous views of the sun rising over the lakes and church. We cannot fault the service we received which as it was on out wedding day faultless. Nothing is too small, and the staff are fabulous. Mo and Allan made our stay fantastic!

Great food, nice rooms and a relaxing atmosphere for the family. Spa was nice too. Only negative was my bed wasn't comfortable (thigh I like hard beds) and the service a little slow at times.

Beautiful venue, great service, but the food was very disappointing. We had the Christmas dinner menu. The starters were ok. I opted for the beef, it was very dry with little flavour. Quite disappointed. It was not bad, but after all the rave reviews, I had much higher expectations.

Gorgeous Hotel! We got married there in 2014 after dreaming of this place for two years! Beautiful grounds, spa, rooms and the food and staff were excellent! Would recommend to everyone!

I visited Fawsley Hall to celebrate my Grandparents' golden wedding anniversary, and was blown away by how amazing the service was. The location itself is beautiful, and the building is stunning. We had hired out our own private room for a 3 course meal and the intimate setting as perfect for our celebration. Our host Raul was exceptional. He was so attentive and polite throughout our meal. The food itself was delicious and the portions were very generous too! We were very grateful that the manager had taken the children's meal off the bill at the end as he had not eaten it (a fussy child! ). It was a gesture of goodwill that we had not expected, but goes to show that they really care about their customers. Raul had requested the chefs to rustle up something small for my grandparents, which was lovely. He apologised profusely that it wasn't something 'more amazing' as the chefs were catering for around 200+ guests that day! We were genuinely overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of the gesture — thank you again to Raul. I would recommend Fawsley Hall 100% for a meal celebration. The menu choice was plentiful (including the drinks), and the meal itself was very good value for money. Thank you again to all the staff that attended to us that day! (03/11/17).

I've just returned from a 24hr stay at Fawsley Hall. And I can honestly say it was one of the bestshort breaks I've had.
The hotel is set in a beautiful part of the world. The interior is well maintained and quirky. All Tudor pics and beams
The spa treatments were fab and the outdoor hot tub was a treat on a cold Nov evening
The food… suffice to say I'm still stuffed. Yummy but light 2 course lunch. Dinner was superb. My lamb was melt in mouth. My friends are vegetarians they had plenty of choice. Breakfast was amazing. A continental and hot option. All in all. I feel relaxed, well nourished and ready to face the world again. The staff are thoughtful never intrusive. Special mention to Marc who took our friends food foibles in his stride. Rosie in the spa and Mo at the front desk. Lovely staff lovely place.

This place is truly beautiful and that’s why we chose to have our wedding here this year. It lived up to our high expectations and the day was magical. It couldn’t have been more perfect (apart from the weather). It is on the pricey side though. The food was decent — nothing amazing. The afternoon tea was really nice. We didn’t have any issues with the service and everyone was friendly and went out of their way to help us. We stayed in the Elizabeth Hampden room which was amazing! Overall a great experience.

An old-fashioned country house hotel, good all-round for pleasant off line time or togetherness weekends. All in weddings seem to be a staple here, and rooms tend to be unusual in layout. Not cheap, and any brought in wine or sparkling wine attracts exorbitant corkage,

Fantastic hotel with lovely spa. The pool and hydro pool are great. The breakfast is really good.

Lovely old mansion set in some beautiful grounds with lakes and sheep. Restaurant food is excellent as is the overnight accommodation. You can even fly in by helicopter and land right outside the door.

Beautifully restored and extended hotel. Well equipped rooms and bathrooms including a fridge and real milk. Lovely garden/grounds. It's even got a cinema.

Went there for my daughter's wedding and reception. Fantastic venue, wonderful food. A place for memory making that you will never forget.

Went last Saturday. Very disappointed.
I thought the price for the Knightly afternoon Tea was a rip off. £25.50 for three finger sandwiches one made with just cucumber one with ham and one with coronation chicken which I didn't eat. A small cracker. And a few minute cakes. This was a special occasion for my friend so felt really let down. Service wasn't very good either. First waiter was good who served us. But then it went down hill. Asked for the Bill twice and gave up and went to lady manning the desk.
Even more shocking that they wanted us to pay a gratuity payment of £17.00 Which we declined. Any positives? Beautiful Hall and surroundings. Never tried the spa so cannot comment. Would I recommend afternoon tea? Definitely not. Nothing Knightley about that afternoon tea. I expected better quality food.

Gorgeous spa — small but everything you need. Elemis and Comfort Zone products. I had an amazing facial and super pedicure — only grumble was that they are still using varnish for toes and not gel. Champagne tea was fabulous and they even gave us a doggy box for the cakes we couldn't manage to finish!

We had a wonderful stay here, in celebration of our Golden Wedding. Building is beautiful, facilities excellent and the staff are warm and friendly. Very glad to have found this special place.

We spent a couple of nights at Fawsley to celebrate a birthday. The hotel itself is amazing, especially the great hall. The staff were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was also lovely, large and sunny with a view of the lovely grounds. (the bed was a dream). We also managed to try out the spa where we relaxed before going for our evening meal. We had a wonderful few days and felt thoroughly spoilt and relaxed afterward. Would thoroughly recommend this amazing, tranquil hotel in it's equally lovely grounds as the perfect getaway.

Sooooooooooooo much better since Hand Picked took over! Good refurb too. Clean rooms, staff much better! Gym working, machines, sauna etc, Staff at Gym good too! Gym Manager excellent. Because of the turn around and I have been a member for many years I now use the other Hand Picked Hotels in UK… found the standard the same! So yes very good!

The Manor House was in the Northamptonshire countryside. The long road leading up was beautiful, and gave a great first impression. Our room was exquisite, set apart from the main house with the bathroom on a second tier. The service was on point and everyone was really friendly. I'd highly recommend the restaurant for dinner, as the food was exceptional.

This is my second experience at a Handpicked Hotel & Spa and unfortunately it will be my last. Even after an average first experience last year at the Nutfield Priory location, I thought I would give the brand another chance in a different location but this has just further confirmed that this hotel & spa chain is more about show than actual substance. It's overrated and overpriced — not on par at all with its 4* rating and hefty accompanying price tag. Lack of attention to detail, customer service and follow through from staff is what fails it. We stayed for 2 nights and had 4 treatments (paid nearly £900). Here is our experience… (Pros) I'll start with the positives as I want this to be as honest review as possible… The property itself, the picturesque grounds and common areas are quite lovely and is very luxurious as are the rooms themselves. Overall, most of the staff made an effort with pleasant and polite conversation but it seemed to be isolated to the main restaurant, a couple of the porters / welcomers and the people who cleaned and looked after the upkeep of the spa. (Cons) The other staff (reception, and spa therapists specifically) seemed very disengaged/distracted/rushed or seemed to lack experience in 4* hospitality. The food was hit and miss (the main restaurant only marginally better than the bar/lounge restaurant which was mediocre pub food).

A terrible experience… I had a room 12 meters from a wedding reception party playing till midnight. They changed our room after we rang reception twice. So much for a relaxing stay. When I pay £250 for a room I would like to go to sleep when I chose not when the hotel says the party should end! I was told I would get a discount the night I had to change rooms. The staff had forgotten to tell the duty manager so the next morning no discount was available without meeting the duty manager. In the end I got a paltry £50 discount on a £250 room. Hotels that offer a relaxing spa break should offer one, this one certainly did not. Also the masseuse said to get dressed and drink the water after the massage and that she would wait outside. I went out and she had disappeared. Luckily someone asked if I was lost and showed me that way out. I experienced a mixture of incompetence and putting profits above customer service, and I would certainly not recommend this hotel.

Lovely country house hotel. I go at least once a month, for either business or leisure. Staff are great, nothing is too much trouble. Lovely setting for the hotel, perfect for business lunch, or for parties, weddings, baby naming ceremonies. Highly recommend.

We had the most heavenly weekend — the room was gorgeous, the staff (especially Lisa) some of the most helpful we have ever come across, and the views lovely. Pure Romance captured within the walls of history.
