Just back from a night out for friends Birthday. Had Tapas in the tents, absolutely gorgeous food and venue, the staff amaxing, so professional and totally brilliant.

Wonderful setting, peaceful and tranquil. First class accommodation, food and staff. Very highly recommended.

Stayed in the barn, very comfortable and well equipped. The Grove is family friendly with play area and great swimming pool. The location is great as you can walk into cromer, we hopefully will go back as had a enjoyable stay we visited the massage hut and enjoyed an afternoon tea, staff friendly and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful setting, wonderful atmosphere and food in the Sundown Tent. A lot of thought and effort has gone into this is. We’ve had the most wonderful evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! ❤️ thank you all in the tipi.

Lovely hotel, we had Room 11 the Suite was a lovely room and we would definitely book again. The hotel is in a great location not far from the town about a 15 minute walk. Staff were friendly and welcoming we had a lovely weekend.

One of the bar staff was extremely rude! She had brown hair and walked around like she owned the joint! WILL NOT BE GOING THERE EVER AGAIN! On the other hand, the rest of the staff were fantastic, particularly a girl called Emily that couldn’t do enough for us to make up for the mistakes and rudeness of the other server… The food was great but the night was ruined cause of one waitress that had a ‘chip on her shoulder! ’

Such a wonderful place to stay — relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff, delicious food and one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in — we stayed in the suite at the top of the hotel (room 11) which was utter bliss! A short walk through the woods at the end of the garden to the beach after breakfast was the perfect end to our stay. Can’t wait to come back!

We had the most amazing couple of days at The Grove! Our cottage was exceptionally clean and modern. All of the staff on site were very helpful and friendly. We loved where it was situated, just a short walk from Cromer centre. We can’t wait to go back!

The staff are fantastic. They were very accomodating with my strange diet. They are all very polite, that is a very good quality in younger people. The food was very good. We just didn't have room for desert.

Very good on service and excellent on catering the food was very quick and well presented as well as freshly prepared every one was very friendly could not find any faults at all would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

There was a very warm and welcome atmosphere, staff were brilliant, rooms were very spacious, some cottages allow dogs which is good, excellent food and drinks and the presentation of the food was excellent.

We stayed in the yurts. It had everything we needed and it was an amazing site. The staff were lovely. Will definitely go back.

Loved the atmosphere at The Grove. Staff delightful, grounds beautiful, indoor pool wonderful, food absolutely delicious (remember to book tables! ) and it’s position with access to the woods and cliffs was lovely.
We stayed in Mrs Page’s cottage with our 2 dogs which was great for us. It was well equipped, with outside seating area and parking. The only comment we would make is that on the photos it looks bright and welcoming but in reality it is quite gloomy.
We had such a special few days… Thank you to everyone st The Grove.

Myself and a friend stayed in ‘apple pippin’ it was lovely. Very clean. Lovely welcome drinks and biscuits. We had a 3 course meal which was fantastic and then the breakfast following morning was also fabulous. Thankyou to the lovely staff. We shall return.

Excellent, lovely place and nice helpful staff. I turned up during my motorbike tour and had mistakenly booked for the following week. They managed to squeeze me in without issue which saved me the hassle of sorting somewhere else out after a long days ride. Tip top, thank you very much. I would definitely stay here again. Short walk to the sea and to town but just far out enough to be really quiet at night.

Very good service. Was relaxing in a lounge where we picked our dishes. Then led to the dining room once it was near ready. Food was very good. I had the duck breast and trout for mains. Can't fault the price. 2 course meal has a set price of £24.95 with additional supplements for more expensive dishes. My wife had scallops for starters and there was a small charge extra for that.

We have just returned from a glorious weekend away to The Grove for my Mums Birthday. We stayed in three of the Orchard Rooms and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The children loved the indoor swimming pool and total freedom the grounds offer to run around and play in. We all enjoyed a delicious meal one evening in the Restaurant and our breakfasts on both mornings. We simply can’t fault it and will be returning as a family again in the future. The Grove offered us a personal service which is hard to find in a lot of hotels nowadays.

The Grove is a stunning hotel in beautiful grounds, perfect for afternoon tea. The staff were very polite, friendly and attentive throughout and everything arrived quickly. The scones were quite tiny but lots of other cakes accompanied them so not a major problem. My main gripe however was with the sandwiches. They were also very small with one of them containg just a single slice of ham that was so thin it was practically transparent and completely lost. The other was egg mayo and the third smoked salmon. This was disappointing. They tasted ok but they were a tad boring. Tea, coffee and Prosecco were perfect and overall we enjoyed it and would probably revisit one day. Just sort the sandwiches out!

We are staying in one of the properties associated with the hotel. A truly wonderful house. Plenty of room and spacious accommodation. Highly recommend this property.

David and I came yesterday, for my belated Birthday Afternoon Flowery Tea. It was a beautiful journey from Cambridgeshire.
When we arrived we were shown round all rooms, which we could choose where we wanted to sit.
Very quirky, homely, relaxing place. We chose to sit in The Orangery) Conservatory.
Out tea was soon served, and it didn't dissapoint.
Lovely Jasmine Tea, with fresh flowers in lovely glasses.
Food was delicious.
Pot of tea lovely.
Another couple sat in where we were, and they came not far from where we live.

A very relaxing atmosphere, it felt like we were far away from the maddening crowd, yet it was just round the corner. Best of both worlds. Staff very friendly. Thankyou, we will be back for a longer stay.

Really good hotel on the edge of Cromer but easy walking distance to the town and seafront. Great staff, lovely surroundings, friendly service and not too expensive. If you want to treat yourself to an upmarket break come here.

This is a lovely environment. The approach through the grounds to the hotel is lovely and the whole setting is quite romantic. However the afternoon tea we experienced did not in my view live up to expectations. The food which we were given was prepared earlier in the day as the chef appears to have the afternoon off. This resulted in some of the sandwiches being a bit tired, aka stale. Compared to our previous visit a year ago the quantity of food was somewhat reduced so we felt we would like to order some extras. Unfortunately due there being no catering staff on the premises we were unable to do this. The manager on duty was perfectly charming and did his best to explain the situation, giving us a second pot of tea at no extra charge to alleviate the problem. Therefore I was disappointed overall and feel justified in giving 3 stars.

Very relaxing place to stay, walking distance to Cromer beach and pier. Nothing too much trouble for the staff.

My wife and I had a 3 course dinner using a red letter day voucher. The staff were friendly and atentive and The Grove was a very nice place. Our food was overall pretty good, meat cooked very well and all courses very tasty but our starters and mains were not terribly hot and being as there were only about 8 people dining at that time this surprised me.

Lovely afternoon tea on a rainy day. Nice selection of sandwiches and cakes. Very friendly welcome. Would have been a five but the scones were a bit dry, all the other cakes were great. Hours later and still feeling full.

Had The most amazing meal/evening here. Food was outstanding. The waiting staff were absolutely excellent… But… Big but, and with no warning, and we pre ordered, nothing was mentioned that if anyone ordered the beef there would be an extra surcharge of £10 per person /person (s). Plus an extra surcharge on cheese boards. Kinda spoilt things really, 8 of us so if we had all ordered said beef that would have been an extra 80 on already "very expensive" meals. As I said the food was worth it but surcharge on beef, no sorry. I would return but not without full information on what the potential "extra hidden" costs might be.

I love The Grove. Have visited several times and can't wait to return. Great addition of the Massage Hut, I was floating on air! Thanks to all the excellent staff making us feel so welcome.

Really lovely hotel with super helpful and friendly staff. We stayed for new year on an exclusive use basis for 39 friends and children. Food exceeded expectations and the staff were happy to help with all requests including rearranging furniture and clearing up after a children’s party and late night new year party. The hotel itself is a little tired but this makes it cosy and welcoming to those with children rather than off putting. The only thing I would warn others of would be the self built treehouse and den in the play area. These are rustic to say the least.

Family ran establishment and I Love it. After recent family bereavement I find this establishment to be almost holistic it calms and puts you at peace, gentle and quiet, no loud music, intrusive television screens, bright lights, just warm relaxed atmosphere with lovely staff and management.

Nice old house with very friendly staff and a great restaurant for evening meals. Probably the best game terrine we've had. Breakfast was a bit leisurely and we had a few ones that were a bit cold but nice produce!

Lovely spaces indoors and out. Great rustic play area for kids.

I ate in the restaurant whilst working in the area. I was recommended to The Grove and being a bit of a foodie I was not disappointed. The hotel itself appeared a bit quirky in a nice way, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the food was first class. Every mouthful was followed by lots of mmmmms. I would most certainly visit again when in the area and will have no hesitations whatsoever in recommending the restaurant to others. Thank you for a lovely experience and congratulations to the chef and staff.

Went there by recommendation for wedding anniversary meal. Lovely surroundings and friendly staff. We relaxed with a drink in the bar first. Good selection of drinks. Meal was very good and a high standard. £25 for 3 courses was I thought good value for evening dining. Would highly recommend.

Myself, and two special friends, my honorary god-daughters, came for a weekend birthday break. We had the most fantastic time at your beautiful hotel. The hotel, grounds, swimming pool, food was high class. All the staff were helpful and very attentive. We went for an afternoon swim in the pool and had coffee in the bar area before dinner. The 3 course dinner was a most delightful experience of fine dining. I have visited good restaurants and hotels over many years and our meal was one of the best, if not the best, I have ever had. Each course was very flavoursome and beautifully presented. A delicate blend of tastes within each course. I had pre ordered Lobster Thermidor for one of my friends and my other friend had the Wood Pigeon. They both stated the meal was the best that they had ever had. I am a vegetarian and there was a vegetarian option on the menu. The head waiter stated that they also had a further option of a Garden Vegetable Risotto which I chose and it was delicious. A very good wine list and coffee to finish a sumptuous meal. Breakfast was also high quality as I love fresh fruit and yoghurt and a cooked breakfast. My friends were equally impressed with their meal. A choice of breads and delicious marmalade was enjoyed by all of us.
Two old friends, who live in Norwich, had contacted me and arranged to come over on the Sunday morning to see me. They were made welcome and we were served coffee in the lounge.

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. The hotel is a little outside the town centre in its own grounds, which are well maintained. Plenty of parking on site. The place looked lovely inside and out, although the bedroom felt a little quirky and could have done with a new bed, the bathroom was small bit modern. Breakfast was really good. I didn't eat dinner but overheard some people saying it was a bit overpriced/hyped.

Such a natural warm welcome. Ambiance is relaxing in a cozy setting with alert and friendly waiting staff. Food is fresh tasty and potions just right. And I am a good eater! Would love to come back soon.

Went there last weekend. Positives: The place was very easy to find and navigate around. The grounds are amazing, there are little secluded areas, everything was in bloom and it was all very well kept. There is little noise from the main road which is very close. The information packs available in the rooms are excellent, they have information on all the amenities in the local area, the menu for the restaurant, taxi numbers, local supermarkets e. T. C. (all of this is expected but it was neatly presented and easy to digest) The food was fantastic, I stayed on B&B basis (there are self catering facilities), the breakfast consisted of a fry up or any combination of the elements of a fry up, there was plenty of juice and more importantly coffee!. Cereal was available as well. 10 minute walk to seafront (through the woods at back of grounds) Negatives: It stated on the website it is 4 star accommodation but personally I don't think it lived up to it. I stayed in the main building, the room was very small and moderately furnished. The bathroom was OK, but the bathroom door had warped and didn't close properly. House keeping knocked on the door I replied no thank you and they just came in and carried on. This was slightly embarrassing as I had just come out the shower and for all they knew I could have been in my birthday suite!, there were no do not disturb signs to put on the door which would have solved that problem.

We turned up at around 1.30 for lunch. (This is quite late by Cromer standards. ) Instead of saying that they had nothing left, they offered us soup. When it arrived, it was half a bowl each and half a roll each. That was it! Literally! When the bill came, though, it was for two portions. Sorry, but there's a line between being helpful and being dishonest, and these people were in my view on the wrong side of it.
