Came for one night and was very happy. We were a bit concerned about travelling into Liverpool and back, but hotel called taxi and it was under 20 quid. Staff were helpful and friendly and our room was recently refurbished, very clean, great en suite. Would definitely come again.

We have been local to this amazing place for many uears and have seen it change 3 fold but I have to say how lovely it is to pop in for a drink now and again. The staff that we have come to love Linda, Jordan, Lydia (olivia) and crew are a credit to the Castle. Professional yet welcoming and fun loving. We always look forward to seeing them. We have never met more welcoming staff. 110/100 excellent customer service and interaction. All absolute keepers.

Wow. What a place what a setting. Absolutely top draw. Contemporary and vintage all at the same time spacious lovely bathrooms all round top quality stay. Very friendly helpful attentive staff. 5 stars.

Lovely historic castle inside like a museum, excellent reception & atmoshere, parking area available. Castle is quite secluded, important note! Do not get mixed up with another closed derelict pub of the same name as sat Nav took us there first.

Hotel has had an update since my last visit and, mainly due to the glorious bank holiday sunshine, the grounds look fabulous. The interior is still tired however and the toilets are not a great standard — more like those from a bygone era. That said the venue is a good choice for a summer wedding if guests can access the outside space.

Really nice hotel, went back there for our 10th wedding anniversary as we got married there. Had afternoon tea and some cocktails afterwards. Afternoon tea was lovely with great food provided. The cocktails where amazing. Staff all well presented and very nice/helpful. Can't recommend it enough.

Previousely been to the Leasowe Castle on various occasions, although probably only 6 times in the last 32 years. The first being our Honeymoon — what a disaster! Every time we have been we have said 'never again'. However on Friday evening (another invitation to help raise funds for Charity), it was fabulous! The service in the bar, the meal and how it was served, the staff — everything was great! We may just go again.

We have just returned from 2 nights stay here. The stay was meant to have been booked by "great little breaks". We arrived to find no booking had been made, having travelled 2.5 hours we were very disappointed. The staff quickly found us a lovely room overlooking the estuary. We checked in and settled in for the rest of the afternoon and evening. The food was lovely and very tasty in the brasserie. The staff were very obliging. The second night we came back and retired around 10.30 to be disturbed by door slamming and voices outside our room this went on for 20mins, I opened the door to find 3 members of staff coming out of the next room. I politely asked for some consideration as we were trying to sleep. There was no apology or acknowledgement just a blank look and they walked away. Approximately an hour later the next room was filled with a family with screeching kids running around, the parents we loud mouthed individuals shouting at them and then at each other this went on and on, I tapped on the adjoining wall after half hour but still continued, I believe another guest in another room knocked on their door and told them to be quiet too. At 12.15 I banged the wall loudly, after another half hour they finally stopped. I am so annoyed at the staff not acknowledging me, and such an unruly inconsiderate family. The hotel is lovely and quaint and would still go back. Food great. The female staff we had dealings with were lovely and polite.

Great staff but… This was our second visit, the first only received 1* but I always give them a second chance, for starters we had hummus and toasted bread and deep fried brie also with toast and chutney, the hummus was dreadful and inedible no taste whatsoever, told waitress and to be fair they took it off the bill, cheese was okay, had Caesar salad with chicken which was nice, plenty of chicken and anchovies, glass of house white really nice but charged £1 for a splash of soda water! 3* 1 for salad, 2 for staff who were very friendly and accommodating, disappointing as been refurbished and lots of potential local to us but very pricey for what you get, need to read their feedback.

Was greeted well by reception and directed to our room. Our room was modern but had a clogged bath with ment the tub filled when the shower was on. Also the hot and cold sink taps both ran only warm water. The was no bottled water on the room which was a shame considering the tap water was warm. Our room had a massive crack which ran down the length of the ceiling above the bed and into the bathroom which was a bit scary to sleep under. The radiator was constantly on in our room which was roasting and we had a very noisy family in the room next to us which seemed to think it was ok for their kids to be running and shouting until nearly 12 midnight. Dinner was nice and well cooked as was breakfast. The staff where friendly on the whole. Up on checking out we where presented with the full bill which we had to point out that we had already booked and paid online.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable and have nice bathrooms. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, etc. The grounds are lovely and you are very close to the beach. A great stay.

A great peaceful night with great facilities. Rooms are really modern and have all the amenities expected! There is a late night bar that makes great cocktails.

Used this as a venue for a workshop. Very much suprised at how good it was. It is a little hard to find as it's off the road, but once there it's easy to navigate to the reception area. Lots of parking, staff were very helpful, buffet good lunch was of a good quality and had all the facilities needed. Very impressed.

We attended a wedding here recently and while I don't wish to give the castle a negative review, there is some criticism I'd like to share. Staying on the East wing of the castle your open to hearing music from the disco into the early hours which kept us awake both nights, the pressure and lack of hot water in the shower isn't great, your going to have to get up early to get a decent shower when others in the hotel aren't sharing the water pressure. Criticism over, the hotel itself is beautiful, the Brassiere serves great food, the food we were served at the wedding was first class. Having 'Love Lane' pale ale on draft was an absolute delight. The staff were friendly and welcoming, special mention to the Barman Nathan, who looked after us for two days, he was very knowledgeable, very accommodating and was a great asset to the business. We hope you pass on the thanks for us. To summarize, we had a great weekend, but for a few small issues and we would definitely stay here again only in a quieter room next time.

What an amazing place, stood in the middle of a golf course, seemingly in the middle of nowhere! Rooms are comfortable but traditional, perfect for a short stay. Food is delicious and a little different from the norm, a Cocktail bar, and the oldest room in the building is the Star Room. The stair case over three floors is eye catching, with an even better light fitting. The venue has three different function rooms, one with a stage. The best bit if you wanted to get married, it has its own very Pretty Chapel!

Nice drive down to the hotel. The room was clean and big for the basic room, although would have liked a fridge. Staff friendly. They need to tune the TV in properly though, not many channels and not the usual ones to watch.

Had our wedding here and the facilities, food and moreover the staff were all excellent. Everything done by the hotel was perfect, no faults at all. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to hold a wedding or any other social event.

Excellent stay from start to finish. Discount on food and drink was an unexpected bonus. Fab room with large bathroom, loved the quirky mirror. Comfortable bed and pillows and lovely thick curtains to keep out the light. Food in brasserie was superb and staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend,

Lovely castle, was there for a wedding open day to see what we could get for our wedding were having at the castle next year and it was a fantastic day staff are very attentive and helpful and the castle itself is stunning.

Great food. Lack of atmosphere. Also in the Knights Bar a menu would be welcome as you do cocktails. Service was good, fast and we'll presented.

We visited for a girls night away. The location was fantastic — very quiet and near the sea but close to major roads. It was very easy to find. The rooms were very smart and clean and modern. The bathroom was lovely with complimentary shower products. We are in the Brasserie restaurant and the food was very good although it took a while to be served. It was a very reasonable price, as were the cocktails in the cocktail bar. Breakfast was included in our package and was very tasty. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and cheerful and only too happy to help. I'd definitely recommend it here and would stay again.

The staff are excellent and very attentive, Megan on reception was great and gave us a brief history lesson about the hotel. the restaurant is contemporary and bright and the menu is sufficiently extensive. However as with many restaurants in this country the staff don't really know the food well enough to describe it to customers. Breakfast was big and tasty but could be warmer. That said we had a great but too short visit to this hotel.

Staff are brilliant. Planning our wedding for later this year. Hospitality is second to none and the staff go all out to do everything they can. Hidden from easy view from most angles but right on the shoreline. Beautiful place. Well worth checking out.

I wish that I could leave more than 5 stars! This place was amazing and we will definitely stay here again. The castle is beautiful and charming and the staff is so attentive. Phil checked us in and he was so welcoming and friendly. If you are going to be in the area, definitely stay at Leasowe Castle. It was a wonderful experience!

A really beautiful setting and the building is very nice, the rooms could do with some updating but that does seem to have been started already, either way the hotel was very clean and we'll run. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel.

The castle is very picturesque and located close to the sea. The views are lovely and the interior is very well laid out. We went to a wedding and even though it was very busy the function rooms were always clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Great grounds and lovely scenery. But rooms are quite small.

The hotel was fantastic. Rooms were very nice with plenty of space amd very comfy beds. My only cplaint was the TV reception. We could only get 3 or 4 channels.

Booked in for afternoon tea expecting something a little special but was disappointed with the service, surroundings and measly sandwiches. Have had much better afternoon teas in small cafes.

Beautiful Hotel, very pleasant staff, food was fantastic. We couldn't eat it all there so much! We were well looked after by Chris, June and the team.

We had our wedding here 25th July 2015 it was fantastic… it was everything we could have wished for and more. The staff were excellent very professional, toastmaster June was outstanding I was literally amazed at her professionalism (she made my day). The food was excellent and hot as it should be … I would highly recommend Leasowe Castle to have your wedding… I felt like a real Princess in my own Castle he he! Also last but not least we were given a beautiful honeymoon suite to stay in the night of our wedding that was amazing and spotlessly clean, and breakfast next morning was delicious and plenty of it!

I attended a wedding at Leasowe Castle with my husband, we were both very impressed with the quality of food and the sevice. I would not hesitate to recommend them as a wedding venue.

I went to the Leasowe Castle for a meal on Sunday Evening to celebrate my birthday. My first meal (Sirloin Steak) looked like it had been keep warm under lights since lunchtime and the second (Lasagne) was cold. I guess that they had not followed the instructions on the packet when they were re-heating it. Staff were apologetic — I left with a refund. Decor was good and the staff helpful but I wont be going back.
