Is a beautiful hotel. Very opulent. We booked the room where 20 of us stay wasn't very nice was like a hostel. Only 1 toilet and 1 shower for 20 people! Don't think that's legal? Team was very helpful also but we cancel our hotel booking and when else where. Sorry.

Positives … Fabulous location, fantastic room (Broadway Suite). We were glad we were on a mid week break though as it would be much busier and perhaps noisier at the weekends. Negatives … First morning breakfast service was not great (we went down for 9.15am), with lots of items waiting to be replenished and the tea/coffee stewed! It was much better the following day when we decided to go down just as breakfast began, around 7.45. In our particular room we were directly under the roof top terrace. When staff or guests moved furniture around on the terrace the sound in our room was like a rumbling train! All in all it was good, but our expectations had been set very high through what we had read and the obvious association with Titanic and luxury levels of service! The reality did not meet with the brochure I'm afraid, which was a real shame.

I held a course in the Grand Hall of 30 james Street and I could not recommend them highly enough. From start to finish the staff were attending to everything I needed. The room was perfect for my requirements and everyone on the course really enjoyed themselves. I would say that if you want to find a venue in Liverpool to impress clients, look no further than 30 James Street.

Room and decor amazing, nostalgia overwhelming! Staff lovely! Carpathia fine dining restaurant was not overwhelmed to be honest! View was breathtaking food for breakfast and dinner was definitely ordinary! Location of hotel very good for city centre attractions!

My Daughter had her wedding vow renewal at 30 James St on 12th May 2018. We had a wonderful day here, the staff were absolutely amazing, so helpful, so friendly, nothing was too much. They made a beautiful day all the more special. I would like to Thank Jay and all the amazing staff who made my Daughters day a magical and unforgettable event that will be talked about for years to come. “Thank You All xxx Kate.

This is a lovely hotel with some amazing and friendly staff. The food was delicious and the beds are tremendously comfy. The only issue is the hotel seems a little worn over time, the bathroom was musty when we first opened the door due to poor ventilation, which cleared after a few minutes but had a rather unpleasant smell at first. The theme is old but the decorating shouldn't be. Overall, I had an amazing and would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel. Was a special occasion as it was our anniversary. Staff couldn't do enough to help and accommodate us. Stayed in the presidential suite which was amazing!

The hotel is marketed as a luxurious experience but is far from it. The rooms we had (47&61) were dark, tatty, dirty, cold and mould ridden. The decor wasn't just tired but the workmanship was often substandard showing a very poor finish. I expect the soap to be fastened down in a Travelodge, but not a 'luxury' hotel. Basic facilities such as a well lit dressing table were missing. Breakfast was primitive, a poor selection of cheap fried food from the freezer and rationed hot drinks. It became apparent that the real target market is hen parties. The reception and entrance was constantly full of roudy, lewd women in vary states of undress and an accompanying cloud of tobacco smoke. So if you fancy going out with the lads on the hunt for desperate ladies, this could be the place for you. For anything else, stay well clear.

I stayed here on Friday as a treat from my husband. We stayed on an offer which was supposed to be a luxury room jaccuzi and prosecco on arrival oh and breakfast in the morning. Well I wouldn't have said that the room was luxury very basic and not in the best condition and we didn't get the drinks on arrival or any mention of it. The staff were friendly though and helpful. Didn't stay for breakfast as I got an email cancelling it in the morning hotel did contact the place we were supposed to be going to but it was to late as I had already left.

Attended a hen weekend here and the staff could not do enough. In fact they arranged the whole weekend with one phone call to James Street. Morgans Vault is a great location for hen parties with the use of the spa and bar for the ultimate pool party — highly recommend!

The room itself was nice, and came with a small kitchenette. The whole Titanic theme is really interesting and made for a novel stay. I can't recommend this venue for families though. The hotel often hosts wedding receptions and hen/stag nights — which means you may get more "views" than you bargained for. Just something to be aware of. The actual hotel itself is very nice, and the staff were all really helpful, so I enjoyed my stay.

Booked here from my sisters birthday, we arranged to have balloons and banners put in the room as we arrived and got a bottle of prosecco too. It's a Brilliant location, all colleagues were very friendly and efficient. Room was amazing with views over to the docks and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful historic hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming. We're given a guided tour of hotel and information of its past. So worth visit. Beautiful comfy spacious rooms very grand. Suit families sharing and large parties, hen and stag or special birthdays. Private use of spa after 6pm. Would definitely return. So central. Xx.

I had a fantastic experience at 30 James Street. The atmosphere and décor are unrivaled for a great price. The staff were all extremely helpful, from the concierge to the housekeepers to the bar staff. It was clear everyone took pride in their work and were genuinely happy to help us get our bearings etc. The location of the hotel is ideal. Not even a five minute walk from numerous bars and restaurants and about ten minutes max to be in the heart of Liverpool One. The only negatives of the hotel were that we found our room to be very cold and no amount of fiddling with the controls seemed to change that. In addition to that, there was also a lot of traffic noise from the street outside but this was no fault of the hotel. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious home away from home in Liverpool.

We have stayed here before, wonderful hotel, we booked through a Wowcher voucher, the room was big and the beds were wonderful. The booking included a breakfast buffet which was also at a high standard. Will definitely stay for a third time.

Quiet room. Beds very comfortable and plenty of space. Staff very helpful. The only downfall was the Jacuzzi wasn't working in our room.

Friendly staff who we're happy to treat me like a person not just another guy working there. Would be happy to work there again.

A fabulous experience, a genuinely historic building — Albion House was the White Star shipping line HQ — meets the very best in hotel keeping. Both food and service are of the very highest order, the decor extraordinary, this is one hotel that I cannot wait to return to. The Carpathia Restaurant at the top of the house — seventh floor — as well as offering the very best in dining experiences also provides diners with what must be some of the best views in Liverpool.

The rooms are clean and nice. And the hotel is located in a central place.

A beautiful location in the heart of Liverpool with a view over the docks and the Liver buildings. I attended for a wedding and the function room was large and very customisable — the ceremony, breakfast and evening entertainment we're all in the same room and it was well suited for each. The bar was well stocked and staffed, I never had to queue for a drink and prices were as expected. The lifts are small, but the stairway was large and comfortable.

Had a night away here with my girlfriend and it was absolutely fantastic. Reception staff, room, spa, decor were all amazing and such good value for money. Only reason it’s 4 stars and not 5 is because At breakfast The waitress stole our muffin and then a teapot was an inch away from dropping onto my head. Would stay again. Wearing a helmet.

Historic building, rooms are quirky and large. Outstanding location. The Carpathia restaurant and bar score well on every account. The air conditioning did not cope with the hot weather during our stay, hence only four stars.

Just got back from a my fabulous hen weekend whilst staying here at 30 James Street. We booked a package weekend, cocktail master class, hair and makeup, 2 course dinner, spa, afternoon tea with prosecco. Everyone was really impressed by the Hotel, the staff, the quality of everything we did! Nothing was too much trouble for anyone of the staff members we spoke to. Such a polite team I would recommend anyone to stay at this Hotel, you would not be disappointed… we will definitely be coming back seeing you again soon xX.

We only ate at the restaurant, the food was great and the man that served us. I eat gluten, dairy and wheat free but they were fantastic at helping me out, giving me the nutritional and allergen information for all meals to help me make a decision. Luckily there was a sweet potato and chickpea curry that I could eat, and I had a side of chips. Tasted amazing. Also had a mocktail that was great.

Went as an anniversary treat room was wonderful and I had ordered drinks and cupcakes on our arrival. We were early and we checked in and left our bags which were taken to our room for when we arrived back. Friendly helpful staff from start to finish.

Booked for our wedding on 1st October so haven't stayed yet but have been very impressed with our wedding coordinator Lisa who has helped us every step of the way.

Waited 20 minutes for them to take our drinks order and despite receiving an apology from the manager it was a further 10 minutes before we walked out after not being served. If you can't offer table service, don't. We won't judge you.

Overall a very nice stay the room was very nice and was clwan. The staff where polite but some not as friendly as my previous stay both times for spacial occasions. The food was very nice the menu was a little limited and certainly smaller than my previous stay there. Overall I my previous stay was wonderful and my fiance was really made a fuss off as it was her birthday I would have given 5 stars then this time round only 4. I have looked back in other reviews and a common thing has rung true with me that you feel as though you are treated differently if you are there on one of there package deals than average guest and buy making this separation the stay loses some of its charm. But having said that I have recommended this place to friends in the past and will do so again it is a good spot for a romantic brake.

Had an amazing weekend here with the ladies. Rooms are beautiful, very clean and couldn't of asked for more. Sophie one of the staff was exceptional. All the staff were helpful and very professional at what they do. Best weekend in ages. X.

Sold as a 4 star hotel. Certainly not a 4 star, more like a misrepresented 3 star (if that)! Most unhelpful Door-man, as I has to help a struggling older man with his case die. The steps, as the Door-man continued to ogle to hen-party gang that were checking out. The "amazing roof top bar" is closed a the faintest hint of a mild breeze or rain shower and the actual bar fits no more than 8 people comfortably. The staff generally didn't give a 'hoot' (to put it politely). Unless you're in a hen/stag party looking for a cheap multi-occupant room, don't bother. Plenty of other choice that is much better, for just a little bit more cost.

What a superb hotel. The wonderful lady on the check in desk did everything she could to make us feel welcome and to get us checked into the spa for the following morning (we had previously been told it was booked up). When we got to our room, a modest room on the lower ground floor, there was a complimentary bottle of prosecco there to help us celebrate my thirtieth birthday, complete with birthday card. The decor was fabulous, the detail stunning — right down to the chandelier above our bed! It felt like we were in the Titanic (minus disaster! ) Breakfast in the morning was fabulous too — just ten pounds. The spa was very relaxing — beautifully set out with a warm pool and a sauna. Some people had treatments but we didn't. Our only gripe was the noise from a room of hen party women playing music too loud — hardly the hotel's fault though! Thanks for a super stay. Had a really good time here, and for the price I got it for, I was impressed. 24 hour concierge service for people wanted to go out to the clubs, tea and coffee, fresh towels, comfortable beds.

Stayed here for a stag do highly recommend rooms excellent staff very helpful and would certainly return well done Signature living.

Quality room with a great turret design that housed an extra bed. Jacuzzi was a welcomed addition too. Breakfast served on the 7th floor was delightful with breathtaking views as well!

Beautiful hotel — rooms are lovely but can be pricey if you don't get a deal. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring the city. Parking is in Liverpool one shopping centre car park and is at the discounted price of £10/day. The hotel hosts many hen parties so as a couple you may have a few noisy rooms nearby. The spa is small but perfect for a 3 hour visit with the sauna, pool and treatment areas. The rooftop bar is also a great place to relax with drinks — but be aware weekends the bar usually closes in the day for weddings and reopens in the afternoon. Breakfast is brilliant with all the selection you could ask for. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed to celebrate my daughters 40 birthday last week and were delighted with the rooms, the service, and the spa. I am returning in October to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ideal place for a special occasion.

Went to my friends hen do here and we stayed in the vault room stunning hotel everything was clean and well presented when we entered the room and a luxurious pool down stairs with our own private DJ and Bar we had some money behind the bar and it lasted. So excellent for the money highly recommend to everyone and will be returning in the future. Thanks to all the staff for such a brilliant night.

The hotel was very classy and posh which surprised us as we booked because they specialise in Hen parties. The staff were brilliant and accommodating for us all. We had a couple of issues with the rooms but these were quickly resolved and rectified by the staff.

Went for drinks. Waiting staff were incredible. Really engaging and really knowledgeable. Drinks took a little longer than usual to come, but it was a Saturday afternoon so it's expected. Great after in there.

Gorgeous rooms, worth every penny. We had a suite to sleep six with a kitchenette that included toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge and dishwasher! Great staff, great experience. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay in the Broadway Quarters, the room was spacious and had a nice view, we could even see part of Albert Docks. This is the second time we've stayed here and the hotel has improved since our previous stay, the reception area is much better and seemingly more efficient, with a member of staff noticing a queue forming and jumping behind the counter to help out. Hotel is within a short walk of the docks and Liverpool One shopping centre. Would recommend Gusto a short walk away, lovely food and service. Also, check with reception for possible discounts at local restaurants.

I am a regular visitor and enjoy having a drink in the Carpathia bar. I have always found the staff to be amazing, however on this occasion all but one of them was rude, too busy chatting and had to wait a long time to be served. Was disappointed on this visit as usually service and staff give you a great experience.

Excellent location, rooms not as clean as would expect, overcharged in restaurant but resolved quickly. Excellent breakfast. Reception staff nice.

Lets just say the decor is definitely not my style — but definitely not a 4 star standard. The "luxe" faux gold interiors stink of stale alcohol and padded velour walls offer very little sound proofing, as you can hear the neighbours speaking. Bathrooms have LINOLEUM floors, broken shower handles and no shower cubicle door, so water just flows everywhere. Cleanliness — stained towels with foundation or fake tan, sticky surfaces and smell of wine. Couldnt see the TV from the bed as it was at a very awkward angle behind the wardrobe. good location and otherwise a beautiful building.

Absolutely brilliant. I have been at the hotel for 4 nights on business and I cant say a bad thing about the place. Rooms are clean and very generously sized. Beautiful linen and cloud like beds. Rooms are all fitted with great televisions and super fast Wifi. Both the restaurant and bar are near enough the best I have experienced within a hotel. Both breakfasts and dinners have been delicious and the ever attentive staff make even dining alone a pleasurable experience. The spa is due to open in a month or 2 but the place is worth a visit just to see the design and grand rum bar — I can highly recommend the rum old fashioned! I would hesitate to stay anywhere else. If you want the best — the Titanic is the place to be.

Came here and stayed for a mates birthday recently, what a fantastic hotel. We all had a great time and we'll certainly be back.
